So your saying even though Sushi Review site shows stock they are out of stock and the price they provide remains fixed in BTC and doesn't float with the USD. Have I got that right?

So the group buy aspect. Is that to ensure when there is an inventory of them you actually get one?

What is "in stock" is the ability to place an order to be shipped Feb 28 +/- one day.

It says 'no price protection on this batch" so the price you pay is the price regardless of what happens in the future. End of story.

Thanks. "In stock" has been redefined.  Grin It' s sounds more like a waiting list with the right to refuse if the actual price set at time of availability is considered unfavorable. If that's the case I want in. Do we wait patiently here to get a signal that orders are being taken or just place independent orders on the site?

I would hope suppliers soon would put the same faith in the currency the miners are willing to by simply committing to a fixed BTC price.

I don't see where there is a right to refuse anything, or get a refund. It says payment must be received within 4 hours of the order. You can of course wait a few more days to place the order (28th is only 5 days away), but there is no guarantee orders will continue to be taken.

Does this thread get updated for the next round of S1 buys?

Sushi Review's website is showing stock at the same price and free shipping to me here in Canada. I'm obviously missing something about why the group buy is popular. Can someone kindly fill me in before I go running around like Sherlock Holmes looking for clues to the answer.

TIA.
when it came out in early feb 6 -9 btc was 720 usd .  the gear sold out around feb 14th.

Now  btc dropped to around 550 usd  so  for myself I got some btc and pruchased 2 more.

even though the price was 2.9 btc each time for 2 units.

the real price was  2100 usd then 1600 usd.

My guess  is coins go back up  and they have come back to 623 usd.   yeah I could buy and hold btc and I do.  but I do lots of resales on ebay and having 4 of these allows me a chance to sell one on ebay.

I think people that purchased this time are in my boat.

I was one of the winners of U1 USB stick on Group Buy 6: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/colosed-group-buy6-happy-new-year-giveaway-bitmain-antminer-s1-180gh-3-btc-392860

I never received the USB Stick miner, and Sushi is not responding to my PMs.
I've sent him many PMs asking about the stick with no reply Sad

Wanted to purchase S1s on later group buys but i cannot until that is solved.

PSU is not a crap PSU as they are gold cert one.

Yes.  Tech reported some faulty Ants and it will be worked on

Thank you!!

Anyone else with hosted miners getting about 165 GH/s average instead of 180 GH/s?

http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1DwdJkxjcQ8b4KYvnKvEkhWawA61SGghUE

They probably have hardware faults and need to be rebooted or powered down.  Sometimes a reboot won't correct the faults.  One of my ants was under-performing.  I checked it and it had faults.  I rebooted and the faults came back, crap.  I powered down, waited, then back up and all is good(and is still good).  You paid for the hosting so you should be able to contact them and have them check the fans, the temp, and have the host power them down and back up.  But, considering you had issues just getting them online, I wouldn't count on good customer service.  Give it a shot.

Also, they are probably using a crap power supply.  Voltage fluctuations could be causing the faults, if that is the actual problem. My ant's faults were caused by a split second power loss during a snowstorm where the lights dimmed.  After it occurred, I checked my ants and they stayed up and were still mining.  I checked my pool stats and one was under-performing.  That's when I discovered the faults.  If you can get the host to check your equipment and have them powered down and back up and you still have issues, request a power supply change.  You paid good money for the hosting, they should comply.

Else, try to get a refund on the hosting and have them shipped.  Good luck.

Sushi could you check this out for us?

Awesome, thank you sushi!

TaaS is a closed-end fund designated to blockchain
how many days s1 will be out of stock?HuhHuhHuh??

Nobody knows..... In my opinion, bitmain sold his entire antminer farm to make room for something new.
Could be a new batch of (better) antminers s1 or maybe some new machines with 400G/500G/1thash??

We just have to wait Wink

I believe that  bitmain and asicminer are related companies.  the u-1 sticks and the old .333 be's are just to close to the same .

I think asicminer spun off bitmain as a mid way point before they build the newer killer chip below:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4819314

Above is asicminers new chip announcement.

It can max at 12gh but if it is in a stick it would need to be 6-8gh

So I think bitmain will put out newer sticks at 6gh-8gh  and newer s-1's at 540gh-640gh

I figure late april for this to start.  All based on guesswork but common sense guess work.
friedcat has stated that there are no links between the two whatsoever...

I would guess that the recent btc price volatility has a lot to do with inventory situation since manufacturing costs are probably paid in local currency or USD.

We are official distributor of Bitmain Tech Ltd for USA, we are https://112bit.com and both companies (ASICminer and Bitmain) are not related at all in fact the compete, excited about the news coming from both companies.
