Since this is a group buy, I can't apply Bitmai's Auction discount.  I will ask in the future!

doe shte 'current owner' discount replace, or add to, the credit of 0.1BTC for each anminer purchased - or does that apply only to bitmain auctions?

Well, maybe for you guys that are adding additional hashrate to their farms it may not make sense at 4.25 but for someone who is simply swapping hashrate with that from more power efficient hardware (like these) it makes perfect sense. I already a liability that was not fully paid off (BFL hardware, avalon batch 2) so I'm just carrying the "debt" sort of speak.

Hoping sushi wakes up soon so I can put in another order.

I seriously doubt anyone involved in this group buy will ever see a return on their investment in BTC.

It's questionable.

Last 30% days difficulty increase is 49%. Most people expect bigger increases going forward with the all the new ASICs due to ship over the next few months.

http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/cb47438d24 - 50%/month; break even April-May
http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/416e5934e5 - 75%/month; break even never.

Jan 04 is a bit conservative, as these have shipped really quickly so far, so you probably get a week or so of mining in December. Still any assumption of 75% or higher probably makes these negative.

I bought 2 of these for 4.25 BTC each from the Dec 5 shipment, and I'm happy with them. But 2 weeks later makes a big difference. The price for Dec 20 shipment would need to be 2.95 BTC to be comparable to my first purchase, in ROI terms.

I'm holding off on this one. They have not failed to sell out yet. We will see.

I'm with you on that one. Very tempted to pick up another two of these and replace a Redhash on a circuit, but am having trouble pulling the trigger this round.

Love all my existing Antminers - extremely happy with them - but my gut is telling me to be patient until January.

1) a little bit too expensive. I would pay 3.75BTC for another antminer
2) doe shte 'current owner' discount replace, or add to, the credit of 0.1BTC for each anminer purchased - or does that apply only to bitmain auctions?

sushi,

When are you going to reduce the price of these to reflect the reality of rising difficulty levels? At the current difficulty level, the AntMiner will only earn ~.1 BTC per day, and the difficulty is due to go up between 25-30% in 3.5 days. I seriously doubt anyone involved in this group buy will ever see a return on their investment in BTC.

Folks involved in earlier group buys at 4.25 will probably come out OK, but this group buy doesn't look so good...
The price is set by BITMAIN. Sushi is just transferring the number to you guys. sushi and I will have a talk with bitmain on price problem if you want us t, but dont expect any good news.

Thanks.

I will be surprised if this group buy sells out at 4.25 BTC per unit given the difficulty change coming in three days.

I'm holding off on this one. They have not failed to sell out yet. We will see.

When you place an order, please state the price per S1, like 1 @4.5 for new customers

or 9 @ 4.2 for existing customers.

Current order log (price per S1 left blank for some people, pm me to get it filled...): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Av5QeUf0zhMrdFhjNUhfaXV4OEdZR3djWGN1dTZuWUE&usp=sharing
