Hello,

is there still any interest for some units? I am debating giving up home mining, in which case I would have 12 available for sale.

Let me know.

Hi, are you still selling those? I'm interested in buying 3 (or 4, depending on price and shipping).

Thanks in advance.

You need to look here for settings info.

Code:
Frequency:

The MoonLander can run on a very wide range of speed and efficiency, and leaves a lot of tuning up to you guys. Make sure you read up on the Hardware section below where I go more in-depth on frequency and voltage tuning.

The Moonlander has a default frequency setting of 144mhz, and can range from 104mhz to 400mhz.

To change the frequency just edit the number after —set MLD:clock= in the startup scrypt. You cant just put any number you want in there, otherwise it will default to base 104mhz. Between 104-200 mhz you can set the frequency to any number that is a multiple of 8, so 104, 112, 120 are all valid frequencies.

Between 200-400 mhz you can use any number that is a multiple of 16, so 256, 320 etc are all valid.

I don't recommend going past 352 Mhz on these unless you have really good cooling, as they get really unstable past the frequency and need to turn up voltage past 1v.

are they still available?? can it be used for serious mining or just for fun , what is the hash rate is it similar to a AntRouter - R1??

this is a scrypt algo

antminer r1 is a sha-256

on mine that i have clocked at 352 Mhz im getting almost 1.0 - 1.15 MH/s

stock clock on these if i remember correctly there around 144 Mhz so that should net around 398 Kh/s or so

Has anyone found a host PC that will run more than 16 of these reliably with the Superbpag hubs? Seems like the most any Pi can deal with is maybe 8 at a time.

Regular Pi - 4
RPi2 - 4-8
RPi 3 - 8 or maybe 12

I have 40 of them, and a ton of Pi's sitting around, but would much rather run a single linux PC that can manage to keep all 40 running at the same time. I know the chips came from the alcheminer, and that uses a single Pi of one sort of the other to run boards full of these chips - but I cannot manage to keep any more than maybe half of them running for any decent period of time. Could really use some help with this request.

Thanks,

i would be interested if OP is working on fixing the bugs these have..

they dont go very long before they stop hashing.. sometimes never even turning in one share..
i have to keep restarting bfgminer every 5 minutes to make sure they are all working..

lowering the clocks doesnt seem to help and actually makes it worse.. running them at 144 i wont go a whole hour before all 8 are showing 0.00kh/s

I am assuming this is a common problem then? Such a shame if it is as I really want to buy a few

eventually they all drop down to 0.00kh/s one at a time.. the thing is the bfgminer still thinks its mining (if you turn on degugging its still sending work to the chip, also the yellow light flashes the same as the other ones).. so im pretty sure its a driver timing issue.

they are also VERY picky on what pool you put them on.. seems the OP only tested them with litecoinpool.org and they work great on that pool.

other pools not so much.. including multipool.us and nicehash.. they give you 100% rejects.

but they are kind of fun, they have blinky lights and make about 1$ a month each on litecoinpool.org.

OP did say something about a version 2 at one point.. hopefully they will be a lot faster and more reliable.

would it be possible to post a link to the now inaccessible contents of the most helpful thread over at litecointalk, concerning fine tuning and command parameters for the Moonlanders?

thanks in advance,

deeneendo

its posted in the main thread on here...check out the second post here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-futurebit-moonlander-a-modern-and-efficient-scrypt-usb-stick-miner-1248914

They are sold out? Or is it possible to get 2 or 3 of these?

I would be very interested in this aswell
