We experienced unexpected events or moments in gambling like this one, you are calling it off a day in a session then you're suddenly on a winning streak thinking that it's your time to get back what you've lost will you go or will you stop and come back the next day.

I know exactly your feeling, had this myself many times. Especially during lossing sessions my mind keeps telling me that the winning streak is just around it the corner. If I only play a little longer I would make my money back. Unfortunately this is only wishful thinking and not real. There are no trend in gambling, just because we lost a few games in a row doesn't mean we are going to win now. The first few times I noticed that was I played regularly roulette. Sometimes I would see red numbers 6-7 times in a row coming up, my brain would always tell me now it has to be black. That's wrong, every new game is independent and the chances for Black and Red are exactly the same, the white call has no memory  Wink. That is why I stop now rather than gamble more. For me it's helpful to set fixes time slots for gambling and when to take a break. We can always make back the losses on the next day. Only exception is if I play a poker tournament and I manage to get into the money, than I will play until the end.

Yes, I lost a lot of time, a lot of money in gambling. And with the loss, I vowed never to gamble again. And I've deleted my gambling site accounts a many times. But gambling never left me. I came back to gambling again after exactly 2-1 days. And I have won a lot. Now gambling is in the blood.  No human can survive without blood.  It is difficult for gamblers to survive without such gambling
This reminds me of when I was addicted to gambling, luckily I did not know about crypto gambling at the time, I keep on doing what were against my wishes and I gambled more to inconvenient myself and lose more at the time. I later did not renew my credit card that I am using for deposit and with the bad experience, I later had to quit gambling for a year. It is not easy for gambling to control someone, instead of the person to control how he is gambling. Not good to be addicted.

It's hard to be certain, sometimes winning streaks can put me in a good mood to keep playing. That's really hard to play against, especially if you're only playing on a small stakes scale thinking it wouldn't hurt to use a few more. Grin

I think I'll stick to the habit that the game will be completely over if the losses hit the target or the balance has been exhausted, or also an external factor that forces you to leave the game screen.

I'm sometimes tempted to continue but I know you cannot beat the house, so most of the time I just call it a day and just wished that tomorrow or next time it's my lucky day. What about you what's your take.
Of course we say that we wanted to quit for good but in the end we end up on the losing side since we follow that subconscious or the ego we have. I think I can count how many times I quit when I was ahead compare to quitting when already at loss. I guess that's just pure gambling.
We'll be fine as long as we don't follow the urge to continue the game.
We must realize that we have risked a lot of money at the gambling table and it is time for us to stop and rest.
The temptation to continue the game will always be there and it depends on how we can handle ourselves.
Maybe we can win today but not necessarily we can win tomorrow.

I'm quite rational in this respect and I don't get carried away because I'm on a winning streak, or a losing streak for that matter. I think a lot of people put too much hope in gambling and then get carried away and lose too many chasing losses or end up losing what they had won because they didn't stop in time. Not understanding the underlying mathematics also contributes to this.

I believe that shouldn't be considered an absolute, because if there was such a pleb who NEVER got carried away, he/she would be like an emotionless robot. It's simply impossible in my opinion. I am also very confident that a big losing streak in the beginning of a gambling session would, without question, break many people's emotional limit.

100% completely agree, people tend to put too much hope in gambling even just for a moment, and I was kinda guilty for that narrative too.
Usually when someone is on a winning streak, we always think that this only happens sometimes and so you have to take advantage of the situation without thinking that the possibility of lossing is always there.
Chasing losses could gave you more losses eventually, but you're only considered lucky if you get back what you've lost for the day, manage to make profit, and of course manage to step outside the casino with all the money you got.

I confess that I already lost money in gambling, but nothing very significant, I confess that sometimes greed can speak louder!! and so we must keep attentive
What to watch out for from gambling games? what you need to do is self-control. If you want to play every day, I suggest you allocate the maximum funds you can spend. if your allocation is $500, then stop when it's all up. Don't be too curious about luck in the next round.
if you have won in a row, then immediately go out and come back the next day. although this is the most difficult part. because we will feel today is our greatest luck. This is the nature of gambling game lovers. I'm sure all gamblers experience it too.

Every time I gamble my objective is once I hit a good shot in a single game I will stop playing and this call for a day because I know not all the time has a good profit of course this is the time we become too much greedy that we want to earn more.

Because you might be a normal person, not a regular gambler who finds themselves in a casino every day for the whole day. I believe more than 80% of people who "gamble" are mere plebs like you and me, the rest are those real gamblers.

Quote

If you have self-awareness and consciousness you can make control yourself when is your limit already always set a plan if you have a lot of money to wage and do not interfere with the amount go for the endless game but if not make a plan.

That sometimes depends on the person, and how much he/she is betting in the game. It's not very different from trading, "don't trade more than the amount you want to lose".

We are just humans thats why its really normal to have that kind of reaction or behavior because it do really involves money and whether we are on a losing situation then its normal to have that kind of
ego and burst of emotion that we might able to cope or even thinking about break even or winning more thats why these kind of decisions are really that in common.
Dont ever try to beat the house because this is something impossible to happen and the harder you try the higher chance of losing money because you are chasing into something which isnt
really that possible.

I think most gamblers have experience this one. And it's really depend on how they are going to take it. For me, will try to play again and see where my luck ends. If it slots and then I got a bonus then see if I can have a good rounds. If let's say card games like Baccarat or Poker, will continue to play and stop when I lose. As a gamblers we love this kind of streak and I doubt that anyone here are going to stop playing.
A person like me - who gets very upset on losing a small amount. For me making another bet after losing is not an easy thing.
But KUDO to those who really try again. I am not sure how people digest their loses, I once lost a few buck and I have a sleepless night- that is why I gamble once in a blue moon.

Yup, i've been there and once you're on that streak it suddenly provides you a lot of self-confidence which could encourage you to increase your bet size on the next day or session. I usually stop after a few picks regardless of the outcome but sometimes I can't help myself from doing live bets when I see value on a pick. Also after experiencing that streak, it only takes a bunch of consecutive losses to simply crush your bankroll and stop yourself from chasing your previous losses and move on.

If I can win a streak, I will stop playing and come back a few days later because I want to lower the tension after getting that winning streak. Indeed it will tempt us to continue playing, especially if it is a winning streak. It is about how we can resist the temptation not to get bigger.

If we can't stop at that time, we will continue playing and lose that winning streak so that we won't get any winning money. That's why you have to learn to resist the temptation so you can stop and enjoy your winnings.

Everything is part of emotion. In my personal experience I never wait for a day. I just go for the big risk, I need to recover what I've lost or else I need to end of losing everything. Recently one incident happened, lost around $250 and the same day received my signature payment. Risked the amount and recovered the loss, but I believed it as a winning streak and started to play with the high rolls than declining the bet value. This finally ended at losing everything, so whether it is a winning streak/losing doesn't matter. It is the emotion that needs to be controlled.

This has happened to me many times. Just when you start wrapping up your gambling session you make wins after wins. I usually just continue gambling because that's a lucky streak I got there. It would be such a waste not to grab it. But I will only continue up to the point that I lose. With that lose, I'm done. But the sad thing and a challenge most often is that this also convinces me to try again after that only one loss with a winning streak. Gambling is really hard to let go.

If it's gambling in a casino, I'm doing it based on what I feel on that day. I admit I sometimes chase loss and still continue. I will call it a day once I think everything is not looking good already.

If it's about gambling in sports betting, I'm doing it regardless of what I feel on that day because generally, sports betting is my main forte. I love the sports that I'm placing my bet on.

As long as we know the risks we're dealing with, should be no problem in the event of a loss.
