Are you guys even read? Who in his right mind will pay ~5 BTC in fees to buy ZEC @ that price?!? That's obviously a whale...
If Zcash had opened at 0.2 BTC and remained fairly stable, would people be so against it? Is it worse that most other Alts?
Obviously that didn't happen and you can only sit back and be amazed at the stupidity of some people, but is the coin flawed, or are the people who bought it?

Unfortunately this happened with most Altcoins. At the launch date, all of them started at a high price and then fell down day after day until a stable price is established. If you want to buy Altcoins, ALWAYS buy them about one month after release and you'll be fine.
Thus the reason why some fud around.
One post the keep me laughing is that someone bought 1zcash for 3200 BTC. He must be very depress by now, if that guy hanged himself after it, i can understand.

Unfortunately this happened with most Altcoins. At the launch date, all of them started at a high price and then fell down day after day until a stable price is established. If you want to buy Altcoins, ALWAYS buy them about one month after release and you'll be fine.

Of course, here and there, there may have been a silly person having bought a fraction of a ZEC for a crazy price, but I think this has been mainly people buying their own coins to prop up the market.
0.6 ZEC were traded @ 3299 BTC. That's roughly 5 BTC in fees (if we assume its 0,15%). I would call that person/group whale/s, not "silly".

I really don't think so. I think this was mostly nothing else but orchestrated market manipulation. Look at the market cap, and look at the initial investment. but price that we see 3000 btc and then 10-20 btc for 1 zcash i think its all pump from zcash team and investors to try big hype so who catch in that hype lost big money...i am sure its plenty guys buy at that rpice to hold fast miracle zcash..now time show...

I was a bit annoyed I missed out on this before it launched as there was a lot of money to be made when it first got released, i did think of coming in but decided to sit it out until the price settled down which i still don't think it has yet.
I am not going to do discuss a speculation topic with a known LEOcoin spamming fraud here.

1 btc is ok, there were so many retarded buying more than 100 btc, ath was 3299.99999 btc, I have to say lol to those retarded.
1 btc is somehow okay because you only loss a little but still its considered as loss because you bought it at 1 btc and the current price is 0.2 which means you lose for about 80% already and thats not really good how much more on those who bought on 100btc.. If i were them i would really commit suicide. haha. But still okay if they hold thousands of bitcoins and those loss is just a dust.
