To grow the adoption of bitcoin we need people spending it as a daily currency.
In my country there is not much I cant buy with bitcoins.
Granted not a lot of retailers accept BTC yet but with all the services available now they dont need to.
A bitcoin debit card can be very handy.

Nowadays if I need to pay a bill then I can pay any bill via a site called livingroomofsatoshi

Please list any reasons why you could not use bitcoin for day to day expenses and maybe we can find a way.

Can you please say something more about this website? Can the bills be paid from any country or are there some exeptions, do they take some fees?

Good points but unfortunately in where I live (Iran), only one merchant accepts BTCitcoin directly and that's a shoe store. I still can't use it on a day to day expenditure since all other indirect options are forbidden as well, mainly due to their nature of being connected to an american brand (AFAIK in cases of most BTCitcoin debit cards that I know), in which automatically restricts me.

did you actually use that shoe store in Iran yourself and saw the bitcoin payment?
because i have only read this a long time ago in a news that there is a shoe shop that accepts bitcoin but never saw that in person, and search for their website or something but i remember that i wasn't so successful.

Where I am from I cannot spend any bitcoins because there are no stores that accept bitcoins. Sometimes I wish I could buy some stuff at stores buy using bitcoins but not being able to spend any coins makes it easier to save them.

Me too there is no shop in the street that accept bitcoin so i cant use it and i have to exchange it so i can have money to buy things well i hope that one day this will be available soon.

I think in asia there are also no shop to accept bitcoin for the payment, i also need to exchange into fiat first to use it in real life. and i always spend my bitcoins to pay my electric bill.

Yes i too live in asia and there is no shop that is accepting bitcoin right now as payment and i still need to change it to fiat before i can use my bitcoin to buy things.

try with purse.io there are basically every country there, since they are connected with amazon

because i believe the economy will crash in the next 1-2 years and i believe once this does happen the price of bitcoin will shoot up. I dont want to start spending now at the moment when my fiat currency still has value.

I get paid in dollars.

Things are priced in dollars.

Now tell me why I should go out of my way to buy and spend bitcoin.  I have yet to hear a good argument for this.
I get some of my paycheck in fiat but I now also receive a good percentage of my wage direct in bitcoin.

I can pay any bills i have, including council rates and even street parking meters that accept debit cards via bitcoin.
Almost weekly I purchase phone and internet credit with bitcoin often at a discount.
And any purchase from supermarkets etc can be covered by using my bitcoin debit card.

I will not be giving up on fiat entirety anytime soon because it's always good to have a little  cash in your pocket but with all these services available now I don't have much need for the old school fiat cash anymore.

I understand that if you have to purchase bitcoin each week at exorbitant rates from LBC or an exchange then there is no big incentive to use it daily to buy goods and services unless you are being offered a good 10-20% discount for using btc as a payment method.

I guess what I wanted from creating this thread was to bring awareness to the services available if you want to spend you coins but dont know how.

in my country there are no shops that accept bitcoin either thus bitcoin can not perish right here and thats a really sad thing for me to be honest, i hope that everything will change in the future

i think that spending bitcoin will be available in my country after around a decade when all people will be able to use it and countries will accept it as a regular currency
In my country bitcoin is not accepted in any places including local stores, malls and restaurants. I spend coins only on online. As you said it can be accepted in future only if it becomes an ordinary currency.

If we speak about real life then there is "zero" shops here accepting Bitcoin , If we are speaking online then I guess I can but I don't want to since I'm holding at the moment . (some may agree and some may think it's better to use it if we want to see it growing)

In the other hand , Bitcoin debit cards defeats the whole purpose of using Bitcoin on the first place (being anonymous , low/zero fees , decentralized)

I dont like the debit or credit cards i have debit because i own a company and i need it to acess my acocunt and pay the bills.Im investing almost all my bitcoins at the moment,as i believe its time to make the investment to collect the proofs with a new value and price that bitcoin will achieve soon. But sure hold it till the halving or before keeps being a great way to boost your ammount,in value.

I prefer to use fiat instant of bitcoin when paying offline. I prefer to stash my bitcoin rather spend them, fiat money is easier to obtain than bitcoin.

i like to use my bitcoins so i spend them few times in month, i very like fact that more and more stores accepts them now so i can pay almost everywhere online with them, not when openbazaar works,  i will really buy stuff from there, i don't care about small bitcoin fee as long as  i can pay in less than minute

how much are the bitcoin debit card's fees?

i like using bitcoin but i have couple of problems with that.
first maybe it is just me but i don't like using bitcoin with something like debit card (using a third party) for that i would use money and my bank with no hassle. i spend bitcoin wherever there is bitcoin payment option so far that has only been online.

the second problem which is not really big, is the price which since i believe soon going to go up so i keep the spending to a minimum but that doesn't affect my decisions on using bitcoin that much anyways.

In my country, bitcoin is slowly rising. We have this FB group and people are becoming aware of what is bitcoin and how to earn it. As of spending them, I don't see any establishments in my area yet that accepts bitcoin as a payment. I only use it to reload my Phone and stuff. Basically just for digital goods. Although some sites in my country accepts bitcoin for Groceries, Clothing, Appliances, and Gadgets.
