Just one reason, in my country, bitcoin is not recognized digital currency, media reports are also detrimental to bitcoin, so most people do not believe bitcoin, think it is mlm.

Yes, there isn't a better time to spend bitcoins than X-Mas and as the price is souring higher and higher we could have value for money and purchase more for less.

I think even when it is this time we should hold it and not spend a single penny, you just should have some patient so you can make some good money when it raises.

Then when are you going to spend one? If today's not a good day, then what is? In just ~2 days, the price increased by ~150$. I think with that mindset of yours, you will always say "pass" on this major price increases because you'll always talk yourself into being patient and then waiting for even more price increase. You're going to be old before you can even enjoy a single penny out of your bitcoin earnings.

I think it's a good time to spend your bitcoins. Or maybe just convert it into fiat if you don't have anything to buy in mind, then convert it back to bitcoin when the price decreased again.

Spending them right now is not smart at all, I would wait on a higher amount and than just cash them out for your currency and than buy stuff with it, most likely way more profitable.
It depends on what price you bought your coins at. If it was far below $800 and you see something that you want to buy badly, then surely go for it.

It helps the Bitcoin eco system as merchants will notice that people are actually making use of the Bitcoin payment option.

If there is nothing interesting for you to buy with Bitcoin, then it's indeed a better option to cash out to fiat. It's your choice.

But with purse.io you get a very interesting discount on Amazon purchases. I am sure nearly everyone will find something that interests them.

Spending bitcoins is good but I think that spending them right now is not so smart due to the price increasing you can better hold your full amount.
The price can always go down too, there are probably many people waiting for the price to reach $1000 again so they can dump everything they bought on the way up to the top last time.
Just use it as a currency, save some and spend some, no different to fiat.
I think spending bitcoin bitcoin will be good when the price is high because you will pay cheaper goods when prices are high. but when a lot of people do not necessarily spending bitcoin prices will be down right ?

im using bitcoin to pay our bills in internet connection here in my country and there's a lot of companies that accepting bitcoin too as a payment. I'm still waiting till it has finally implemented as one of the transaction method. bitcoin has a really great features that's why.. I want to use this even when buying a coffee.. going into a restaurant.. and even buying stuffs from a mall.

The same thing here in my country and I would say that spending my bitcoins through paying bills, buying prepaid load cards and other services that has been adopting by our local exchange here is truly a big help. I do have funds for spending bitcoins but still I have funds for keep on holding as the price is keeps on increasing.

Nice, more countries should allow their people to pay bills and services using bitcoins. In the most places, we still need to convert our crypto-currencies to fiat before paying our bills, services and stuff.
However for now, I agree with you, we need to hold it as the price keeps increasing every day, would be a mistake to spend all bitcoins now.

Don't worry it will happen soon as long as there are investors in your countries that are ready to adopt bitcoin and sees the great potential that bitcoin can give to them for profit and as well as good service to the people. And there is no problem if we have funds for holding but make sure you are still helping the economy of bitcoin by spending some of it also.
What people need in our area is awareness, without it they will not be able to enjoy the system of bitcoin. It has been noted already that bitcoin will make it easy to transact online, and some online business have migrated bitcoin into their payment system.

I have the same problem, in my country there are not too many options to spend my bitcoins.  However that does not worry me much since I am determined to save my coins as much as possible because for me they are a safe way to save my money in the medium term rather than a way to cover my daily expenses.
When people here hear "spending bitcoins" too many of them think spending like a normal currency in a shop, that is not what this is about because bitcoin will never be a hand to hand currency, it will be what it was designed for an online currency.

Businesses in your country not accepting bitcoin should not have a lage effect because if you are posting here then you have the internet, use it and i am sure you could find almost everything you need that you could now purchase in bitcoins.

In most countries, even the developed ones the use of bitcoin as a means of payment is not widespread. If I can not use them  in everyday micropayment transactions I will use it to online shops especially for buying things from abroad without have to use a paypal account or to give the personal data of my credit/debit cards.
But I really like to spend bitcoin only if there were many paces to do so, I have tried looking for many places on the internet but the only sites that I found are only gaming sites which sells games for bitcoin which is a great idea and other sites which sells things I don’t need, if only there were places that sell everyday needs for bitcoin.

I don't know if you could technically call it spending bitcoins. But whenever I do get some, I just exchange it at a local exchange in our country and add it to my budget for paying bills. I can't directly use it to pay any bills yet there no facilities that accept to as direct payment.

Yes not all countries is accept bitcoin, most of them make it an illegal currency. Then we're hard to do something with our money (bitcoin)

same as me. not many options to spend bitcoin I have where I live today. very difficult to find people who accept bitcoin. Another option, which I can use is, by exchanging first on exchanger or on people who need bitcoin in social media.

I'm glad that in my country there is already an app where we can use bitcoins to pay for utility bills and prepaid load. I don't have these automatically deducted from my bank account so I can just pay out of my wallet rather than use cash.

Wow it's good news. In some country we can use bitcoin for payment but only for some outlet
In my country I can easily use my bitcoins for recharging my mobile phone and can easily use it for shopping online but for paying bills it is nowadays hard to find any place so for that reason and some others I often use cash for which I need to sell some bitcoins.

Haha totally forgot about mobile load (postpaid is not common here). Another thing I like is that here we can convert bt to our currency and just withdraw the cash from an ATM, send it to a cash card, claim it from a participating pawnshop or even have it credited to gaming account like Steam.
