Go for the casino if you want to have fun but if you are serious about gambling I suggest sports betting as you can improve your skills there. This is my personal belief only, not saying that Casinos are bad because I think there are people who are also making money playing in a casino.

The point here is, the house edge will make gamblers lose if not now then it will be in the long run.

Take note also that you cannot win in sports betting if you are not a sports enthusiast as you need to love the sports first before you can enjoy betting and be more successful.

Some casino games have a higher RTP rate than others but they are still largely based on luck so I would rather pick sports betting which is more on bettor skills or analysis. It doesn't guarantee a win all the time but it's always good to know you have more control on the possible outcome of your bet.

my experience sometimes lust can also make a loss quickly without us realizing it!
you mean greed?
^ Why lust, is there lust in gambling?
It is totally different when you gamble against the house edge than gambling in the betting game in which the gambling casino only entrusted the fund.
It is usually 1% against the house edge which makes is purely based on luck, rather than betting on local which is typically you can apply other strategies. But all of them have a different purpose and for me, a gambling casino that is based on skills is the best than fighting against house edge which we know the more you will fight the more the chances will of draining money.

my experience sometimes lust can also make a loss quickly without us realizing it! something that can come quickly then can go quickly too it has become a habit that can not be denied ! casino or sportsbook as well as gambling ,the difference is that the opportunities that we can get are bigger at the sportsbook because we can analyze and make many predictions for it ,but our casino is against the program only lucky people and must have a good feeling at the right time will win from loser ! there is no guarantee that people who often sit and play for a long time will win but depends also on capital ,connected to each other with capital luck strategy and time

None is easier than the other just that sports betting could more easier when a big team plays against smaller teams but the odds are always very small because it's always a sure win. Casinos could be more profitable if you limit your stakes around dice because if you can manage your outcome winning could be guaranteed but sports betting can be so heartbreaking especially when you expect a big team to win only to face major disappointment
Odds are small if you do stick out with favorites but profits is considerable if you do bet up on underdogs which there's always be a choice which one of the two and this is where strategy and analysis is been applied and not all would really be good at that.

Its a personal choice which one you do like because not all would really be liking ondoing sports bet and rather stick with luck based on which we know that house do always win.

Preference would be the key and not all would really be having the same impressions in between these platforms.

Sports gambling is more scientific and deterministic. It has more layers to it which can be analyzed and studied in an effort to identify patterns and trends, which increase chances of success. Sports gamblers can observe the body language and psychology of an athlete. They can observe trends in sports which remain consistent over time. There are various tells which can be used in an effort to make accurate bets on sports. With higher percentage payouts than a hedge fund manager or wallstreet investor might regularly have access to. This is the world of sports gambling.

Casinos are more for personality oriented gamblers who enjoy the element of risk and wagering on the unknown future. While there are a few personalities who can be successful and win gambling in casinos. Its not something the average person is likely to experience. Whatever skills it takes to be a consistently profitable casino gambler. They are less mathematical than skills present in sports gambling where statistics and metrics can sometimes be crunched to find an answer.

I do prefer casino games as it is where I can get more enjoyment while playing it than sports betting.
If you have bad experience/luck in casino games, I have to say that I have better luck in casino games than sports betting.
What I do like with casino games is that I can play it anytime, anywhere I wish without waiting for special events.

I think you have missed the third category "texas holdem".

Texas holdem can be considered as part of casino, as it is a type or card games although skills is required in this game.

Playing Casino depends on the type of game you are playing, I have played Black Baccarat game and it's not too risky if you can predict well the next slot that will have a card closer to nine. Player and Bank can never be a problem to decide which one to choose. And they is no way the bet will keep on falling on one side. If you stake five games of course two or three games will win in your favor. Why I go for Casino is because of how fast the game can become unlike sport games where you need to sit and watch other people play on behalf of your money. When you lose in Casino you blame yourself which is quite acceptable but on the other side When your team loss the game your blame goes to the players showing that you are not also in control of the game which you staked money on.

In this thread I share my opinion. I know 2 types of gambling. Sports and casino. I have both types experience. At first I started to play casino like roulette, dice, ludu. Roulette was my favourite casino table. One day I won 7k usd on roulette table. But I couldn't retain it. I lost all the usd in 10 minutes and day by day my lossing amount increased. Sometimes casino table was so tough. Whatever I bet all lost. No sequence maintained. If I won a day, I would loss 5 days at a stretch. It seemed all was fixed. I shifted to sports betting. I started to follow biggest football league like English premier League, la Liga, french Liga etc. Researched the teams statistics and placed bet. Gradually I covering my losses. What's your experience?

I like sport betting because I have a "kind of control" and after years and years of playing I am able to achieve a positive result.
If there is not a rigged match, live not pre-match, maybe a sport that I have experience, exchangebet or with cashout option I can achieve a win.
I play also with casino but it's just fun /pure luck. I don't have any real chance to beat the house, but I can enjoy some fun/entertainment.

To each his own. Personally, I bet on sports (mainly football) from time to time. But I prefer casino games more and I spend most of my time playing slots and live casino games.
Sports betting has its own charm especially if you are a sports fan yourself but it can be a bit stressful and nerve-racking when waiting for a match to end to know the result.
The main difference between the two is that most casino games rely purely on luck but this doesn't mean that doesn't mean that you have less chances to make profit or to hit a big win. It's just those games are designed on a way that makes you lose on the long term. So, if you can control yourself and know when to stop, you can get out with a good profit, even bigger than what you could get from sports betting.

I'm not professional when it comes to sports but sports betting is my thing and to be honest, I find it more profitable simply because we could depend on our luck on the players that we trust compared to casinos that are purely luck-based. However, things still depend on our comfortability as well as our skills.

I guess it's not about the type of gambling you play at a casino that you lost it, it's the way you behave while you're playing even if it's losing or winning. Well, maybe you've the skill on research and that's your craft that is why you may have advantage on sports betting.

Totally, it will be different on every individuals and this will cut the choice of the many as others may prefer casino over sports betting or the other way around. I'm more into casino rather sports betting but that doesn't mean I don't hop into sports betting. I just like slots even on offline settings and hitting jackpot seems so nostalgic as those coins are falling on the machine.

As I rarely  bet on sportsbooks, I usually played in the casino which has dice games. I do not have much experience in winning instead of losing for some money. But I indeed win some money but usually, when I continue playing the games, I lose that win and only leave my initial money before I play. Well, that was not good for me so I tried to learn about how to stop after I got consecutive winning and I did that without a problem now, although I rarely win on the games.

I think maybe you should focus on sportsbooks than the regular games in the casino because I see you can gradually cover your losses. So maybe you have your luck in the sportsbook than in roulette or dice.

We have different tastes in terms of gambling. Some might prefer sports betting, while some might prefer casinos. It depends on how controllable you want your gambling would be. For instance, in sports betting, there are a lot of factors that needed to be considered in order for you to achieve winning. It isn't only inclined with luck and odds being on your favor, but also the greatness and how strategic the player or team that you will bet on. Unlike in casinos in which you only rely to yourself, to your ability,  and a little sprinkle of good luck.

In addition, the entertainment and fun that someone gets depending on what they like to do is also a factor. For an instance, someone is really fond of sports, sports betting is a good option for him since he will be able to enjoy the show while having a bet on the side. Meanwhile, if someone is fond of playing games such as roulette and the likes, then most likely casino would be the better option for them to have fun and be entertained. We have different hobbies and likings so it will really be based on our perspectives and preferences as well as on how much we want to gain from it.

I think by now we have the answers already, and it's sports betting. There is nothing wrong playing Slots or Roulette because it is really fun and enjoyable. But at the end of the day, majority of us here wanted to win some good money and those games are not suited for that because it is a luck based game. At least with sport bettings, who know your enemy and your team and you can beat for or against them based on your own analysis on how the game will turn out or could be influence the outcome let's say that some players are injured specially their star players. Unlike Roulette or Slots that you don't have any influence on the results.

Roulette, dice, slots and similar games are purely based on luck, so we can't say that we are guaranteed to lose playing those games. We are more likely to lose than win, that's true, but since there are around 1.6 billion people in the world engaged in gambling activity, thousands of them can be winning for years in a row, and this is what's happening actually, and that's why gambling is so popular - people hear stories from the winners and they want to be like them.

With that said, of course, if you are smart and hard working, you better try to apply your skills to sports betting, and there's a non zero chance that you'll earn money through your skills with that activity.

In my opinion, sports betting is more preferable, since you have the opportunity to influence the result.

You can analyze information about athletes participating in competitions, as well as about their coaches.  Your winnings depend on your efforts to collect useful information.  You can also use the "Search for Black Swans" strategy.  When betting on sports, this strategy can bring you big winnings.

Casino gambling is (usually) based on luck.

The exception is poker.  Poker is a game in which your winnings depend not only on luck, but also on your skills and psychological characteristics.

I think at first the vast majority of us all here have started with sport betting and maybe very few of us started directly with slot machines or roulette type of games.I personally started with sport betting as I was young when I started gambling with sports meaning I had a lot of patience. With the passing of years though as we grow old patience tends to get away little by little and that is what pushed me into slots which I still like to this day and I only play them but not very often. With slots you can win a huge amount of money in a very short amount of time which is different from sport betting. In sport betting now I only bet in F1 races.

There's money to be made in sports betting but you need to spend time watching signals and there are paid signals too, winning in sports betting is very rewarding but the casino offers a lot of excitement and a huge jackpot, you don't have to do anything but bet and there's no strategy to use but mainly luck so if you are after money sports betting is a good bet, if you want enjoyment casino offers both, enjoyment and chance to make money too.
