this! in the bundesliga we still have 4 matchdays/weeks to go until the winter break. after the 15th matchday it's over for a while and the 16th matchday starts on january 10th Is gonna be less extensive this year the winter break? Im gonna have to watch this closeñy because of the competition im managing. I hate this kind of breaks, but well its life and its the mother nature. We cant do so much.

Very high scoring round as we can see, seems like we have our feels very well trained after the international break to catch the results in the Bundesliga tournament.
The sad part for me is i dont climb so much positions since everybody has a high score. I also dont cut any point to top positions.
If I'm not mistaken, only one favorite lost his game, so many scored approximately the same number of points, and the difference arose only due to luck in guessing the exact score. By the way, there was not a single draw in this round. Quite a rare event. The good news is that there will be no breaks for national team games for a long time now, and at least there will be no need to worry about that.

 Heidenheim were never going to keep that lead, and they were fortunate with their first goal, which came from an awful mistake by Leverkusen playing out from the back. Great odds though, couldn't pass up the opportunity there. Hoffenheim with a new manager bounce, a 4:3 win! I was strongly considering taking the draw here. Leipzig have gone three games without a win now and are obviously missing Xavi Simons.

Bayer just don't know how to win games easily, do they? Had them to win big but they've only just managed to claw back to level terms at the break. And my poor Freiburg pick doesn't look healthy at all now. Down the drain, can't see them scoring 3 goals without letting any more in.

Nice win jeremypwr. All those upset picks and I only collected 3 more points than the top 4. Definitely feels that going for outside picks is less rewarding -- thankfully SB balances that out with some freebets, so I'll be popping my head in for another couple of surprises. Not Augsburg, though, surely? I sense some wobbly knees in the likes of Bayer and Dortmund.

Dortmund loss against Mainz, Bayer draw with Bochum or goaless draw between Leipzig and Gladbach. And Bayern, probably we all expected something more than 1:0 win vs St. Pauli.
That's true. Three goalless draws in one round for the Bundesliga looks like pure fantasy. I'm used to most games ending like BTTS Yes here, but this round is special. And that's even without taking into account Bayer's loss of points, Bayern's modest result and Dortmund, which forgot to show up on the pitch (one shot on target).

Even in the golden era of free-kick specialists, i can't recall anyone scoring in three straight games. He is having himself a season, isn't he? Hey, not bad, I actually called two upsets correctly! Strange that one only gets 2 points from 2-1 (when Mainz won 3-1), and another got me 3 points from 2-1 (Frankfurt won 3-2) -- more points given when you get the winning margin correct I guess, never occurred to me. It's as if they really don't want you to pick the upsets in all these prediction games. Only me and jeremypwr picked Bayer to lose too, the draw gave nothing to all of us. BTW, there is currently a big rumor of Mats Hummels (ex Dortmund, ex Bayern) coming back to the Bundesliga after joining AS Roma. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that he will likely return once the winter transfer period opens. I mean he's 35 so I doubt he will be back at Dortmund or Bayern, but I am sure there are several clubs that are interested in signing him, if he really wants to come back.
If he can cope is the question I'll be asking here. 35 in Italy is not as demanding as the high-energy Bundesliga. Like the guy, but I think people should acknowledge where and when they can still play (while being entertaining).
