I saw on X last night that Southgate is the highest paid manager in the tournament, earning £5,000,000 a year. He does not have the credentials to justify that, the guy has done nothing in management to deserve that kind of salary.
I dont know how much money other managers are earning, but with England having team with best players in a long time they should perform better and score more goals.Two scored goals in two games is nothing and when they score a goal like they stop thinking about attacking and scoring more.
Maybe manager is responsible or there are other hidden problems in team.
I have to say, that isn't always about Southgate though, we are talking about a team that barely ever performs, so it is basically a common thing for England national team to do badly. I am not saying that we should expect them to do well or badly, we should just simply realize that we are seeing England doing exactly how they have done for the past like 50 years or so, which is not winning.
