For teams that can't win the premier league or never won it or haven't won it for a while then I may understand not wanting UCL, but the teams that are already good their own league would prefer UCL over their own league for sure. Tottenham is a bit different in that regard, I am pretty sure Chelsea was very happy when they won UCL and if given option they would rather keep that instead of the league, City would rather win UCL at this point because they already won the league so many times, and many other examples like that.

However, if we are talking about simply just Spurs or even any other team in premier league that has been away from winning anything, I would assume that you would be right, any team that did not win anything for the past decade or two and even longer or maybe never may want premier league a bit more. Even in that situation it is not 100% clear, I would assume they would be thorn apart to decide on that.

@boltz: I did a lot of Correct Score bets tail end of last season, hit a handful. Those 20% boosts take a 8/10 to 10/1, and I went for the low-goal counts where there weren't expected as I thought strikers got tired and less sharp after a long campaign. It's especially nice to hit with the boosts as a 11/1++ hit lets you then lose 10 more times to still be in profit.

For example, at least I was very close yesterday ... until at the 90th minute or so Tiraspol FC scored the second goal (but I was not at a loss and decided to insure myself a little).

Yes, you are right, but there is 1 reason, when UCL can be played with rotation squad. EPL place can bring more money than UCL, that`s why some clubs, that have no chance to win UCL can take maximum efforts to get the highest possible rank EPL. I am not worried for Chelsea, they have very long bench and only player they can't replace easily is Lukaku. Every other position is covered with several players of similar quality and I expect them to do good against Juve. Chelsea is very solid in defense and Juve could have big troubles scoring tomorrow without Dybala and Morata.

Yes, it`s true. But i really think that to bet in such cup games is mistake. I mean that we don`t know surely couch plans. For example - the previous season United tried to win all cups and now they start with full rotation players. And WHU is rather good team with several good players.
