Hi guys,

Nice little 2 leg multi here > odds of 391/1 coupling a 1st Half Correct Score market (19.0) with a full-game Correct Score market (21.0)

Requiring a 1|2 Half-Time score in the Flamengo match, the customer may well have been sweating bullets at 0|1 in the 45th minute, but goals to Barbosa in the 45th +12m (0|2) and Torres in the 45th + 14m (1|2), saw the client turn 10 BRL into 3,911 (1.60€ into 635€)

Well Played! even for a fluke!

regards,

Steve.

I mentioned yesterday it was unlikely to get 7 away goals to book the Over 15.5 Home+Away special but wow Antonio and Soucek really served it up on a plate to City, what a cracker of a Sunday matinee that was huh guys?

Also, I mistakenly put the odds for the Goal in every 1st Half Special at 10/1 but it was actually 25/1. Doesn't matter though as the final game we needed to score didn't. So disappointing from Citeh-Spurs =(

So to recap the Sportsbet EPL Countdown specials:
1. 433/1 BTTS each MD1 game.
2. 366/1 goal in every half of each MD1 game.
3. Utd/Liv/City to win and all teams to score at 25/1.
4. 25/1 on a goal in first half of every MD1.
5. 85/10 on Over 15.5 goals for both Home and Away goals. Need City to score 3 in 2nd half to win this haha. Not gonna happen huh @boltz
6. 10/1 Over 1.5 goals on every game of MD1.

@buywaytress I won’t be surprised if Arsenal perform poorly this season too, and it’ll be nothing less than a miracle if they make it to the top 4. Furthermore West Ham won their game quiet comfortably in the end, and it seems they’re a side that can make a surprise top 4 entry what are your thoughts on their performance?

Arsenal, too early for a verdict. Need to see the full team back.

Hammers, they went down two goals to Steve Bruce and Newcastle, so that's not exactly the best display of what they can do, but if they carry on last season's form and keep scoring goals then maybe. They fell short last season but if Lingard somehow ends up with them again, yeah sure, why not? Don't feel like they'll get a better chance after 20/21 season though.

I hope Arsenal will not perform bad again as it's already that they are not in Europe competitions and besides that Arteta has a full season to finally bring this team on top where it belongs. However this road is gonna be difficult as they always have injuries and EPL seems so balanced this year.

Anyway, I'm watching live Spurs - City and this game might end in a draw Sad.

So, Gunners and Saints took a battering -- the latter I backed quite confidently -- but we've to remember both aren't quite the same teams they were last season, at least, not the ones that showed up on the pitch today.

Our Specials also took a hit:
1. Arsenal already made sure 433/1 BTTS each MD1 game wouldn't hit but Wolves also failed to score so we won't get our money back;) 2. Leicester Wolves also didn't score in 2nd half, so we're also short on the 366/1 goal in every half of each MD1 game, but we could still get money back if the remaining 2 matches tomorrow get a goal in every half!
3. As Norwich couldn't score, the Utd/Liv/City to win and all teams to score at 25/1 is also down.
4. However, 10/1 on a goal in first half just needs tomorrow's 2 games to get a goal before 45th min to take us home so that's absolutely still alive.
5. Over 15.5 goals for both Home and Away goals at 85/10 does NOT look good for the away side, while we already booked 18 goals for the home side. 7 more goals from City and West Ham tomorrow really don't look likely haha but go Soucek and Antonio!

I go to bed happy with Liverpool bagging that one. Triple save from Alisson maintained our clean sheet near the end.

Hello, does anyone know why Sportsbet switched to a new sportsbook supplier for soccer only? For all other sports they still seem to use Betradar and therefore have the same odds as Betcoin, Stake etc. but for soccer they suddenly have totally different odds than those since last weekend......any idea if this is temporary or structural and if so, which odds provider they use now?

I personally think it's a pity since I liked the previous odds supplier a lot

Bumping an old quote here...i believe we are back with the old odds supplier, hallefuckinglujah!

Since the CL final in May we had like 30-50 markets tops per match regardless of who was playing, missing some really important and popular markets (well some were still accessible but only through the betbuilder option which is not the same) like: Halftime/Fulltime, Double Chance & Total, Anytime Goalscorer, and many more. Good to see 100+ markets per match again.

Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, and David Villa were all treated and respected well by the club, though do not let the media play games with your head; they will make you believe whatever they want you to believe. None of the players mentioned were kicked out of the club; they had a successful career at Barcelona and decided to try new challenges elsewhere before retirement, with the exception of Messi, who was ready to retire at Barcelona before the start of the season.
Even Messi is not the player to carry a team to success like he used to, sure he is still good but he is not what he used to be. If you pay him insane amount of money, get rid of 5-6 other high paid players, and hope that you end up doing well with that situation, not only you will not do well (even if you do) but you will also pay a 35+ year old Messi more money than top 5 stars in the world is getting combined, maybe that is a bit overstatement but he was getting 70 million a year.

I am sorry but I rather put Ansu Fati there who is not even close to messi, even now, but help him grow better and better, instead of paying 35 year old messi 70 million a year. It is just common sense to let a player go when they are creating a problem for the club, and he WAS a problem, not while playing, but financially he didn't worth the money he was getting anymore.

Deportivo vs Real Madrid kicks off in 30 minutes, if anybody is interested. It’ll be interesting to see how the mighty Real cope this season without their captain & talisman Sergio Ramos. Varane joined Man Utd too so I dunno if I think Real will do well this season. Could be a struggle for them to live up to expectations. I’m tempted to bet on Deportivo to win this one.

Eh, Arsenal. Not a very nice way to start the season, but Brentford's pressing so high up really unnerved the Gunners in the first half, could easily have conceded another goal or two if the team were more skillful. They did play a lot better as second half progressed, thought they might score. Stopped watching at 60th minute, and then see they went on to lose.

So ruining our BTTS special on the very first game. Didn't even get any winnings done either as I parlayed Brentford with Monaco ha!

Pep is obsessed with perfection and he tends to make weird changes from tactics to players for Manchester City squad in important matches in Champions League. It is easy to say things when matches already ended but I feel if Pep had not made such weird perfection-obsessed changes, Manchester City would have won Champions League.

In a new season, Manchester City will still be one of best candidates in Champions League but PSG with Messi will be the best one now, not Man City. If two clubs have a clash, I don't believe Man City will win.
Pep comes from Bielsa train of thought, you have to analyse your opponent’s games, trainings and everything, you have to learn as much as you can on the team you are playing against and accordingly change your system as well, defence specially changes a lot because you are playing against teams that will have different offensive strategy, your offense could always stay the same because after all why change it based on their defence if it works against all defences, but if there is a special situation, then you can make changes according to that as well.

This led Leeds to have a lot of injuries, not so much for City but it definitely did hurt them a lot because they were playing different all the time in many games. Yet you can't say they were not great, they were in semi-finals of UCL and won premier league 3 out of last 4 times which is an insane achievement.

Good to see PL kicking off tomorrow and I can't wait to see MAN United in action (my favorite club from day one). In the history of club, players comes and go but it's the club with which we have affiliations. I sided with MAN United no matter which players are in the team. I am not in mood of betting this season, just wanna enjoy the game. May the best team win!!!

I don't like what Barcelona treats their players, from Xavi, Iniesta, David Villa, Suarez to Messi but I agree what Laporta said. The club is more important than any player who comes and goes.

Just as when Ronaldo left Real Madrid - "No player is larger than the club", then it all went to shit lol.

The expression is simply a way of saying "we're screwed " in some transfer scenarios. Atletico Madrid will now dominate the league, with Real Madrid and Barcelona becoming laughingstocks.  Grin

Premier League is finally back today with Brentford vs Arsenal match!
I enjoyed following Brentford in Championship last season and during play-offs but Premier League and Arsenal are on a different level.
This two teams played friendly match last year and Bretnford won 3:2, and Arsenal is missing few players for this match.
Safest bet in this match would be playing on goals, maybe both team to score and over 2.5 goals, but Arsenal will probably win and I think that odds are not bad.
Ivan Toney is amazing player for home team that played great in pre-season, even drawing with Manchester United.

Meh.
I'm not a supporter of Barcelona, but I think Messi's departure will only benefit the club, and for some reason it seems to me that this season Barca will surprise everyone. And the fact that PSG has in fact become the most stellar team does not at all mean that they will play better, on the contrary, a gathering of cult players in one club can provoke a leadership conflict, (since in fact PSG now has three captains, Messi, Ramos and Marquinhos). What I mean is that Messi is quite quick to abstract away from the game without the ball, and given the cult status of the team, it is unlikely that he will receive a pass every two minutes.
I don't like what Barcelona treats their players, from Xavi, Iniesta, David Villa, Suarez to Messi but I agree what Laporta said. The club is more important than any player who comes and goes. Messi era has to end, if not this season, it would be next 2, 3, 4 or 5 seasons. Other players will replace the key player position of Messi. Barcelona will move onwards with new players. The leave of Messi brings more opportunities to Pedri and Ansu Fati as well as Griezman or Coutinho.

Same for PSG. If Mbappe leaves, they will have other players come and some of them will successfully replace Mbappe.

Just as when Ronaldo left Real Madrid - "No player is larger than the club", then it all went to shit lol.

It still feels so fresh in my memory actually that Spurs met City and defeated them to go into the final but you know it seems like City never learn from their mistakes or rather, Pep never learns. He got away with league because you can afford to lose some games but if you want perfection to win, you need to stop making tactical experiments and of course you need a real proper striker.

And this is what has given him success to be sure but as I said, experimenting for perfection is possible in a league system where you can lose one, two even many games and still win the season,,, even more so whenever somebody else loses but he has to learn not to fix and change things in a KO format where one loss is all it takes to wait one more season. I do not see City making it a step further here.
