I had both to score on Leeds match and never in my wildest dreams had I thought I would lose that bet because Leeds did not score. Watched a bit of second half and Leeds was really bad. I guess now we know why Bielsa does not rotate players in Premier League

I was so close yesterday to catch Arsenal on penalties but they scored just before the end of the 2nd half of extra time...such bad luck again

). It was a game where Newcastle simply waited for extra time and then once again they tried to go for penalties but you can't defend yourself for 120 minutes.

City squad have not many players available after some of them were found infected with covid. So Guardiola had to roll out with limited options. I also expect Guardiola to roll out fresh from bench after half-time. I think City will try hard to get a good lead in first half only.

I just saw City's lineup - it's a much stronger one than I expected. It's the cup, they will probably rotate after 50-60 minutes so I'm glad the bookies consider them such strong favorites.

I'm taking +3,5 handicap on Birmingham at 1.72, as well as -3,5 handicap on Chelsea (odds of 1.76) against Morecambe.

Not my kind of bets but I have nothing better to do than watch the cup. Grin

What were the odds for that? It was 20/1 and just needed one damned goal haha. I did get one acca back through insurance though, picked all the right guys except Burnley -- damned Prem League teams heh. Even Everton had a scare and needed extra time.

Anyway, Arsenal through, so whoever bet 15/1 on Arsenal to win the cup again is one step closer. Didn't watch the game so don't know how it went but I'm guessing Toons defended hoping for penalties.

I took Everton to win while it was half-time, how did this end up losing? There was no penalty shootout in this game.

It did ruined mine, I had Bayern and Leverkusen as winners for this week, but that multi is gone. Thankfully I didn't played on Liverpool, wouldn't probably play half though so I am not sure if I am thankful or not, I would probably play it at full time and would say Liverpool, but I am fine with missing games, as long as mines do not lose.

I re-watched the game over and over again for just one part, didn't watched the whole game, but if you look at the highlights of the third goal, you will see that goalkeeper looks very very funny Cheesy

He jumps and throws his hand up waaaaay too late, it looks like he was just doing it to make sure he wasn't simply watching, all of Aston Villa players looked young so I assume that he did it to not get yelled at from the coaches after the game is over, he knew it would be hard not to get yelled at for watching the ball go in.

It's true that Bayern was almost undefeated last year but they also had one of the most craziest run in the club history with winning Bundesliga with a lot of weeks before the end + a huge victory in UCL as they haven't lost not 1 single point in the previous UCL year.

This year, all the effort from previous years are starting to reflect on players but don't worry , Bayern always had strong bench so I still have no doubts that they will Bundesliga again and maybe even reach the finals in UCL.

What a bumper Saturday! I took the SB special and am now wishing some of the picks were the early games, where every game is already 1 or more goals in during first half. Over 0.5 goals by HT in: Blackburn, Blackpool, Bristol Rovers, Burnley, Oldham, QPR, Stevenage, Stoke & Wycombe at 20/1. Hit the Championship special 2 weeks ago, so hope these guys show up;)

@LFC: Definitely think it's the lack of rest. Our strikers running on fumes, and yes, they've had days of rest and rotation helps keep them fresh but the fact no team has had a mid-season proper R&R must really be taking its toll. Home advantage is huge for us, of course, and I think that's probably causing us some points as well... yes, every team suffers it, but Anfield advantage is a powerful variable.

I think it's the latter. And if you keep on playing and playing without having the possiblity to mentally digest everything properly, this will result in being not up to things mentally. You will get a bit sloppy, you think things will continue like this forever, you think you can get away with 95% of effort etc.
It's just a normal human process and there are few players in the world, who always find the same desire and motivation every following season after having accomplished so much. CR7 is such a player for example.
