I'm already going through football withdrawals ('Merican football.)  The Niners losing the Super Bowl really took the wind out my sales, and it made me sick (coincidentally, or directly attributable, I don't know.)

Anyway, it's a bittersweet seasonal threshold.  As football ends, Mt. Biking weather begins, and with it comes a new season of MotoGP.  Any MotoGP fans around here?

@Steve, does sportsbet.io have any markets for motorsports, and specifically MotoGP motorcycle racing?

Hi DireWolfM14,

We will have a few motorsport markets closer to the main events, but to be honest with you, our offering is rather small due to a few factors on both sides of the operational and odds feed business.

Its a bit of a shame as Im a massive F1 Fan and I know people out there enjoy throwing some money at Motor Racing.

We are in the process of trying to develop a new partnership/product for the upcoming F1 Season starter in Melbourne and hopefully that will continue on into other Motorsports including MotoGp.

Ill be the first to let you guys know when we are ready to go!

regards,

Steve,

Honestly I don't get Watford has this IcyHot thing going on, for few weeks they lose to all teams ever and they look like the worst team in the entire premier league, than later they start to win like crazy and reaching above regulation in few weeks, now they start to suck as well. This team needs to find consistency and they need to find it very quickly as well, they can't sustain this one good one bad style because they are once again in very much risk. Don't get me wrong, we as sportsbet nation would still emotionally support them if they go down, but I rather see them get away from regulation if possible and that requires winning the games against the bottom of the table teams every single time, if not than a tie, losing back to back hurts them a lot.

Wow, I just emptied my wallet to place a bet on Shrewsbury at insanely high odds and I saw that my BTC account was credited instantly.

It is either that a new block was created a minute after I sent it or that Sportsbet does not wait for a confirmation. If it is the first one, well - lucky me. If it's the second one - it's a really smart policy because sometimes we are in a hurry to bet and it is important that the deposits are fast.

I really have only the best words for Sportsbet's deposits and withdrawals, keep up the good work!

Must have been lucky that a new block was very quick to confirm your deposit?
Unless because you maybe gamble a lot with them so they trust your account & credit it before the transaction was confirmed? Probably the former though!
It doesn't matter if you can withdraw or not without the confirmation, the problem stems when you allow that transaction when you win but not allow it when you lose, however the amount of double spenders in the sportsbooks world is lesser since the games usually take some time and transactions are faster, so you can actually deny or accept the deposit during the game and not afterwards most of the time and if you want to do a double spending just in case, the game will be on its way when you are actually banned for not depositing and still trying to gamble if you do it few times.

I understand it on stuff like dice because its instant, or any other casino game, yet when its about the whole game thing on sportsbooks, double spending becomes less of a problem than casinos.

I really should start to learn more about Super Bowl and how to play it. It looks so confusing,,, but the half time shows are nice to see;)

Other than football/soccer,,, what is the most popular team sport in the world in terms of watching views and of gambling? I always wondered if it was cricket or basketball. I just watched the latest movie from Adam Sandler: Uncut Gems. He bets all on basketball.

The most popular sport in the world is football/soccer and the second most popular one is, like you guessed is cricket.

I'll be honest. I haven't got a goddamn idea why cricket is so popular. I always thought the second most popular sport was basketball till I see that list few years ago... Didn't even know cricket existed before that.

You are right Cricket is like a religion in India and IPL their T20 league which is among the Top 6 leagues in the world. Mzhansi Superleague of South Africa and Big Bash League of Australia all got inspired by the IPL. BCCI the Indian cricket board is the richest cricket board in the world even than the ICC which is the International Cricket Council similar to FIFA in football. The major cricket playing and following nations are South Asian countries apart from it Australia, England and New Zealand.

Yeah,

Participation wise, Cricket is huge! Ive played a bit myself and its a unique game!

Hi Steve

I have played kabaddi a number of times... This game is all about strength, agility & understanding your opponents well...my ancestors used to play this to stay fit (and grounded) , really this was always supposed to be played bare foot and in mud though times have changed...I am happy that it is gaining traction and will be a good sport to watch out for in coming decade..I saw a movie also last week made on a female kabaddi player (YouTube panga) which gives you a summary that it is still not regarded as a top sport though I like to think otherwise..

Sportsbet.io has 0 confirmations; which is one of the perks of playing there.  Not many (if any) other books offer this.

Thought you would know this by now

Especially for LTC usually need some confirmation different from other deposit methods do not need confirmation

Kabaddi is played widely in South Asian countries especially in India from where it is originated. Actually this is the type of game where one needs to be physically so strong and needs to be very active with a good presence of mind. During the ride, the rider has to touch any of the players from the opponent's side within 30 seconds. Each rider will get 2 empty rides means he can return without any points (without touching any players on the opposite side) this is very crucial as every team has a star rider so most of the rides will be taken by him so after two empty rides, it's a pressure for him to score a point whether by touching any player or to hit the bonus line which is deep inside the opponent territory.

From the defense, they need to either catch the rider or not to get caught by the rider this is quite difficult and needs a good timing where a small mistake could lead to severe damage to the points table and give a major lead to the opponent which is very difficult to catch back

Either way, cryptofrka... did you really say you took a bet on Shrewsbury?! I parlayed Liverpool across 2 games (Southampton+Shrewsbury) and thanks to Price Boost I got 2.34 on last night's game so booked in a nice 3/1 win.

We're up against Chelski next.

Yup, 1 salary less for this year Grin
Did you watch the game? I managed to find a stream and Shrewsbury was destroyed by the kids. It was obvious in the first 10 minutes it will be a one-way game, but it was against Villa too (especially at the beginning) and we lost that one 5-0. I was actually thrilled when they scored because I wanted to cash out and still thought kids would turn it around but VAR disallowed it due to a pass that didn't have to do much with the actual goal play.

Well, better luck next time I guess. That's what you get when you play against your team.

Speaking of Ligue 1, I'm calling on Monaco to retake their place in the top 3 next season. I bet on them a couple of times at least THIS season and they've been slowly improving, the hard way which is good. Think sloshing around in money all those years before the Sheikh money in PSG sort of spoilt them but they're now building back and the backbone could show through even next season. That, or they fall like AC Milan...

Sportsbet always credits your account immediately without waiting for even 1 confirmation. This is great policy and I would love all BTC accepting bookies to implement it. There is actually no risk because they have a condition that you can't withdraw the money before initial transaction gets confirmed. Great stuff when your game is starting in 5 minutes and you don't have money on account Smiley

I was so unlucky last night as I lost in overtime at Cleaveland at x8 odd. The game was so entertaining with a lot of dunks, offensive style but also good defensive , strong coach , fighting bench with great players in great shape ready to make an impact.

As today prediction I will play all the Ligue 1 France with Both Team to Score. Opinions ?

I'd take BTTS on Monaco against Angers and skip the rest.

I always avoid Lille and Rennes and I can't see Nantes scoring against PSG.

Hope it lands for you though.

I had no clue that "field hockey" was such high on the list, plus would have guessed NBA and generally basketball to be ranked second or if not at least third in the whole world considering how much money is going around it.

Which type of people watches you is very important as you can see here, just to give an example NBA is ranked 7th on the list and they have mainly Americans (and global a bit as well) that spends a lot of money on jerseys and shoes etc etc whereas Cricket is loved by India which is a poorer nation than USA and doesn't get payments as much, so looking at the salaries we see a huge difference and looking at endorsements like Lebron getting 1 billion from Nike, the gap is even bigger.

I still can't believe about the field hockey one though, that looks not real.

Yeah the field hockey one is True!! Hockey is massive again in India and India are up in the top of the world and have been for 30 years or so.. always massive games vs Australia! both on the Cricket and the Field for Hockey!

steve!

yep! at one time india was undisputed number 1 in field hockey! sadly the craze here has shifted towards cricket so hockey has suffered as a result  Embarrassed
