Anyone else like to follow bets on relegated teams in Europe leagues? I always feel like there is good value sometimes if the core team remains the same.
i tend to avoid betting on events/leagues that i'm not familiar with, Segunda division falls in that category (i know the teams but i don't follow the league regularly), but, i get what you mean by good value, i suppose yo-yo clubs like Norwich or Espanyol could be great for these kind of bets

anyhow, Rayo vallecano - Mallorca about to start, sounds like the perfect game to have as background noise lol if Rayo wins, they'll move 3 points ahead of Barcelona...i'm sending all the positive energy i can to the madrid team  Grin

the fc barcelona Pedri midfielder was today presented with the gold boy award and succeeds last year's winner Erling Haaland (bvb).
second place went to Jude Bellingham of borussia dortmund and third to Florian Wirtz (bayer leverkusen).

I know it's Segunder (or whatever they call the second league in Spain) but did anyone catch the Real Zaragoza and Girona special at almost 8/1?

I have this weird attraction to Segunder bets, and that's because I used to follow Deportivo until they got relegated even to 3rd or lower tier now. Anyone else like to follow bets on relegated teams in Europe leagues? I always feel like there is good value sometimes if the core team remains the same.

I did have Betis on my multibet I also thought this was a sure thing but unfortunately the one that didn't hit was the final game. 0-0 are the worst scores ever, to me, no goals, no nothing, and you don't even get false hopes, lol. I think this is the score that bookies win the most unless you're that Brazilian guy who likes to bet on nil-nil scorelines!

Just one more game left but too late for me at 15th position to do anything lol

I don't know why odds for Betis win against Elche was so high - 2.40, but for me it looked like easy money lying on the street and I couldn't miss chance to take it.
Real Sociedad - Valencia 0:0 with 15 minutes remaining. C'mon, where are goals?
about Aguero... apparently it was fake news. Many journos from catalunya and the rest of spain are saying that the news are completely fake, the club won't have any press conferences about it and every party involved in aguero's situation (club, doctors and the player himself) will wait a big longer before drawing any conclusions about his future as a player
Good to hear that. When I saw these news on Fabrizio Romano twitter I was already sure that's real thing.

While we are on subject on injuries I just read that Aguero has to retire due to heart problems. It has been reported on multiple portals, but Eurosport also reported that Barcelona denied that news. I hope he will be fine and play few more big games before finishing great career.

Can't agree more and also hope it's fake. I always diss Man City and others but players I always hold the highest admiration for, and I kind of feel like Aguero never really got the love and fan worship I thought he should have won with THAT league-winning last-minute goal (still probably in my memory the best example of English drama in the game). I mean, even Divock Origi has his own song and chant at Anfield, every game but I hardly heard it from City. It would be really sad if he has to retire because of this, especially since I actually wanted to see him and Messi together kicking it up in La Liga (which I hope is somehow still possible in a couple of years).

It seems that there has been some positive changes already and a bit of luck in the end can't hurt.
good sensations in the first half with high press and that was it, 2nd half was the same old barca cos the team was very poor in the back and lack of goals still present. If espanyol managed to have so many clear chances last night, imagine a top side. We saw some glimpses of the new barca, but it's far from being a real improvement from the past managers, but it was the xavi's first game, so...

Very difficult win for Barcelona, we must be very lucky that Espanyol failed to score somehow, they had so many great chances in the end. But win is win, we get 3 pts and Xvi debut will be marked with victory in the history. But before next week's crucial Champions league game with Benfica Xvi can't be happy about performance.

I couldn't agree more with you that Espanyol literally deserved more from the match, the hit the woodwork a number of times. However, I tend to look at how the team played, they played much better in when in possession and during attack, the sloppiness in defense cannot be excused, but I tend to be on the side that it's still work in progress.

Wanted to watch the game but ended up watching Zverev vs. Djokovic. It seems that there has been some positive changes already and a bit of luck in the end can't hurt. I see Xavi gave a chance to some youngsters but since there is so many injuries at the moment that does not mean much. Except for Luuk De Jong, he is obviously not in any contention with new manger and should leave in January to play somewhere.

call me crazy, but I do not see much value in Real @1.45

Barca is other story, they actually won one in every three matches so far, it could improve, but this is a city derby after all, Barca is much better in their matches, but when to see Espanyol to win, if not now?

Agree on both points, definitely not crazy, and it doesn't matter anymore as my legs in other games have lost -- too many damn draws everywhere, so I now can watch Xavi and Gavi and co see if they can at least find a way to entertain the crowd and me. Espanyol have no need for motivation to win, so let's hope for fireworks (and a Soccer Blackjack) as the Liverpool game, while nice to win, as usual became a training match once they took such a strong lead.

good luck slaman29, rooting for ya.

Mm. I have mixed feelings. And apparently it may be more than Alves coming back, but I'm ignoring all the possibilities of that. For me, as long as the wage bill and all that don't go up, and keeps lowering it's okay. I just want us to really focus and get serious about the rebuild, and 100% back what Xavi said about tying down the players we need for the future. We've done most of it but Dembele seems to be the 50/50 guy. Xavi clearly thinks he has to stay so I believe that must be done.

I'm going to be a bit stupid and put some crazy money down on Real. Benzema's been crazy for France the past week and a half so we know that guy's not about to let go, and yeah I know it's Granada but how often can you get 15/10 Real against Granada?

I am not saying that they will not win, but Granada is solid team, had a rough start, but brought best goalkeeper they could get, and he will be motivated against Real to the max
agree that Benzema is on fire, but would risk it for @1.7 or above, for @1.45 would not

huh, I forgot we're gonna see Xavi making his debut next weekend (and also Dani Alves? ),, couldn't have asked for an easier game, Espanyol are literally 3 points for free for Barca, especially at the Camp nou...off to a great start, barcelona fans (;
Dani won't be able to play until January. I thought that signing free agents is allowed during whole season, but seems that I was wrong.
Maybe he is 38 years old already, but during presentation he was excited like little kid to be back at home. Can't wait to see him on the pitch.
And Xavi debut in Barcelona derby. I'm really hyped before this game.

There is so much look to forward in the next game, the addition of Dani Alves is also worth cheering as well.
I believe the signing of Dani Alves on paper seem like addition to the squad but, I think it was more about trying to help Xavi as part of his coaching crew, so I won't be expecting to be much play time for Alves.

Being a derby, I still believe Barcelona will have to sweat for the three points but who knows what Xavi has on table

It probably has to do with the contract that he had with Sao Paulo. So the rules won't allow him to register until the transfer window reaches.

I forgot about Xavi debut as well, now I have to add that game to my watch list as well. I want to see what are his of the bat ideas for Barca. Alves can't be registered before January so he will not have his debut this weekend. Maybe only as an influence in the dressing room if they managed to sign him in the end. I saw that league was complaining about that 1 EUR deal and did not read anything on the subject after that.

Leaning towards Sociedad - Valencia to represent La Liga in the challenge.
👍  probly the best match in the league this weekend,, Celta - Villareal could also be a decent match

No comment about Xavi, except at least it's a player with the right principles for Barca IMO. How effective he'll be is another question altogether.

i think that with Xavi, fc barcelona has found one of the better solutions. another coach from a foreign country who doesn't know the club would again be out of place here.
Xavi has a contract with the catalans until the summer of 2023 - i think he will bring the fcb back on track.

The task of restoring Barcelona form before Xavi left for the Catalans perhaps for the next one or two seasons poses a special challenge for Xavi to change Barcelona players playing to follow the history that has been passed down from previous players. Because this club is a kind of family club, it is quite surprising to see Xavi passionately educating Barcelona successors so that they can revive their golden era. With the help of Alves it is also possible for new arrivals at Barcelona to be more motivated.
