Well, Sevilla dropped points, Barca dropped points AND jordi alba got hit in the face...i'd say it was a good day  Smiley

i've got both Real and Atletico to win today...anyone else?

nevertheless, Valencia won 3:4, so everything good
a bit late but, that was one of the best games i've watched in La Liga this season

Sevilla are the only threat now it seems. Beat Atletico, Drew Barca, hope they keep this up until April because that's when they next meet Real Madrid for revenge.
between Sevilla staying in good form/as title contenders until April and Barcelona possibly winning the league title at the end of the season, i would go all-in Barcelona lol Sevilla always shit the bed in the league 😂

Very painful for me to comment. In a way, I guess I should really thank the fact that I live many hours away from my football club, so when they don't win, I'm at least not watching it so.

Reports seem to say they deserved to win, but a point was not unfair also.

worst round for me since the beginning, changed yesterday Sevilla to 2:1 home win from 1:1, booger
Did exactly the same thing, glad I was not alone Smiley

Expected more form Sevila due to recent results but according to reports I read, Barca was much closer to victory yesterday. I am taking this as a good sign for Barca and expecting them to start playing better and climb up the table towards Champions League spots.

Draw between Barcelona and Sevilla left me mixed emotions. If someone would had offered such result before game, I would take it without thinking much. But when you play against 10 men Sevilla, offcourse you want for something more. In general, it was solid game and we let Sevilla to make just 1 shot on target.
Real should be happy about this result. They will play against Athletic tomorrow. On paper it looks quite difficult opponent for them, but Athletic haven't won at home against Real since 2015.

expected more from Sevilla last night, especially after they lucky scored first goal
but they are obviously worse than my view of them, although they got four points from two matches with top3 teams, it is good from any measure

Pity for Levante, they didn't played bad. With just 8 points after 18 rounds they're heading to Segunda in straight way.

yeah, it seems that after several season, Valencia will be the only La Liga club in town, which will make it down to three cities with two or more clubs in La Liga

what about tonight, is it possible for Sevilla to get two wins over top3 clubs in few days, Atletico was down in last minutes, without play to support their win
so, they could play better tonight against Barca, maybe even to get another win, although Ocampos will not be there to help

great match last night, seven goals, and we won
it looked bad in the beginning, being two goals down, but we played solid at those moments as well, and score four afterwards
Usually Monday night football is quite boring thing, but not this time, Valencia derby was great. Levante were leading 2:0, but Valencia comeback with 4 goals in a row was impressive thing.

Yeah too bad I didn't switch on to watch, thought my night was ruined betting wise but now I get to save my ticket and root for Atletico on my last freebet from predictions.

Also smacked Soccer Blackjack into a high bust, but at least got a point out of the correct outcome, and now the gap has closed again.

Coming to 19th game day, which is exactly halfway point. 3-2 Barca, 4-3 Valencia, loads of goals, makes everyone happy.

back above Barca Smiley , three wins in a row, with Atletico and Sociedad having three loses in a row, and it is a point between us

^metaverse football? I'd rather metaverse football where we're actually also playing, kinda. Heh. Maybe in 40 years when I can't move my ass around so much (though I still hope to be physically active then).

solid off-topic, but it depends on age, would agree that under 20 years old see it different (metaverse vs real world sport)
being above 40 (myself), I think that real sport is better, but my opinion would not matter in 10-15 years

and if you watch it on TV, does it make a difference are these people avatars or real people? VAR is just one step closer to programmable sport, IMO

I don't disagree the tech would be as realistic in 10? 20? years? But I doubt anyone capable of the skill and athletics in real life would strap on a headset and do it on a treadmill. Would the grass turf feel the same after 20 people tackled on it? Would you hear the whisper of a guy or read his face expression when taking a penalty? Would you smell the sweat on the guy you're marking? All these things make people react differently. Where's the captain when you need him? The linesman to shout at? The ballboy to beckon to? =)

So okay, if Gavi and Bellingham and Jota say, forget football I'm playing VR, MAYBE I'd watch but unless entire teams decide to shirk the grass for astroturf (which sucks as a substitute btw)...

Anyway, go Valencia =p

Back to topic. Someone beat that - from Sunday games I got just 1.5 point from all 3 pools Cheesy. My performance this season probably should be called "One step forward and two steps back"...

yeah, lousy week for me as well, red color with a bit of green, without any correct score
and it is one with 14 matches, so there is still chances to get better

tonight is Valencia derby, but I highly doubt that this could be a good one for me, since favorite teams are usually a booger

Well since we had just few games in EPL that would be an ok score there, and we had a lot of surprises in La Liga and Serie A. I have done somewhat better than you but still very poor, 4 points was my max across the pools this weekend. A bit embarrassing for us but still long way to go and change it to the better. Just need to start getting those correct scores right.

New free bet challenge will be up later today since we have games during the week.

Back in 2020 when all leagues were stopped, I tried to watch these virtual things like football or F1. Personally, I wasn't very excited about it. I prefer to play myself than watch how others playing.
I doubt that real sports will be ever replaced by esports. These things will exist separately, but esports probably will get bigger recognition, like including to Olympics. And eventually it may become bigger thing than real sport.

We're almost at halfway point, I'm still chasing the top, and I just had a look: more than half of La Liga is negative goal difference. That's not as bad as EPL where only 6 teams, all the top 6, have positive GD, and only the top 3 have more than +7 GD.

I wonder what this says about either league huh?

on the metaverse side, I think that we will all watch virtual football on daily basis in 10-15 years, and these will have daily rounds
Not sure about the metaverse stuff, but by now I would expect EA sports FIFA tournaments to have caught fire by now, but we are still far from it. Even the lockdown due to COVID-19 where all popular leagues paused did not do much to popularize the EA sport tournaments that were readily available for the bored fans.
My thinking is that people seem to prefer real life sports events.

Sevilla won game 2:1 after late goal of Ocampos. Sevilla weren't better on the pitch, they played quite poor 2nd half, but it's already typical for them to win such kind of games.

agree, expected bit more from them, and Atletico had great chance for equalizer in overtime, but Sevilla won in the end, and brought me money Smiley
not sure what happened with Ocampos, but yeah, there is a lot of strange things in football these days, and 60+ matches per season does not help at all

Barcelona Fans will be happy this weekend with their win, Atletico Madrid has dropped points in this Sevilla game and although Sevilla has been good this season, there's a big concern for me with the Atletico team whose performance is becoming poorer with plenty defensive challenges, something unlike the team we used to know. Suarez who is a prolific striker is in a really bad shape and form currently, i hope he bounces back soon.

Ooh dear, I was counting on the 1-1 draw as my correct score and then Lucas Ocampos decided to ruin the perfect score in the 88th minute 🤦‍♂️
This season is proving to be a huge challenge for the Champions in their title defense. Atlético are already 8 points, a drift from Seville.

Barca leading 3:2, sounds like it was good game.
it depends. If you're a neutral, it was entertaining. If you're Barca fan tho, i'd be very worried cos the team still doesn't show any signs of improvements under Xavi, Ter Stegen with yet another abysmal performance, entire defence is 2nd division tier with or without Pique,, literally every game for Barca is a high-risk 50/50 match...heh, it was funny seeing barca players wasting time...against almighty Elche lol

Sevilla and Atletico is a bit of borefest....and 50 minutes in but still no yellow cards, very very weird to see sch a "clean" game between both sides, it's usually a yellow cards galore  Grin
I think it wasn't bad game. But getting early 2:0 lead probably made players to relax a bit. You simply can't waste 2:0 lead in 2 minutes. But at least team showed thatthey have balls and managed to win game. I agree that every game for Barca this season is 50/50, even against teams like Elche. But probably you can't ask for too much when you look at age of most of our players and considering how many injured players we have.

BTW, what happened to Ocampos? He didn't got injury, but was carried out of pitch on stretcher. Such things happens in football way too often recently...
