I am on Betis tonight, they were great last season and I expect they will continue like that. Only problem odds on Sportsbet are 1.48 and I need them to climb to at least 1.5 so I can use insurance and bonus. Please go and place 100k against them  Wink
I also went with Betis, but I managed to catch 1.52 odds. Seems that's going to end well, Betis is leading 2:0 after 1st half and Elche have player ejected. So, switched to watch LFC - Crystal Palace..
Today I haven't left prediction for Athletic - Mallorca game because I didn't thought that they will play so early on Monday. Anyway, not big loss for me, I wouldn't had predicted draw there and I actually got 1.5 point as default pick.

What more can the Almeria goalkeeper do? Almeria has just renovated the stadium and it's pretty good. Stadiums are one of the factors that keep the Spanish and Italian leagues behind England. In this way, the renewals are written as a plus in terms of visual and quality.

The match was very entertaining to watch. It was very nice that Alaba used a cool free kick as soon as he entered the game, the announcers said "Let Alaba hit, if there is a goal, he has a story" and then the goal is scored.

Vini is very talented, but he has not yet become a player to lead a team like Real Madrid. It cannot be expected to happen. Even Benzema has been playing for years and has only been able to show his leadership in the last 2-3 years. Perez definitely needs a right front and backup forward. Otherwise, if this team is not injured, it will still win the league. But any injury etc. happens, I see their chances are very slim.

Watched Real yesterday and it was a great game full of chances, it would be a bit more fair if it ended 6:3 but goal keepers were very good. Real is booked as both to score for me until the world cup.

Real Madrid and comebacks. match made in heaven  Cool   but the Almeria GK with 13 shots saved lol Almeria is gonna be a pain in the ass this season, tough side and well disciplined

though start, but it is a win for us, mighty Girona was down from penalty spot, and three points are kept at home
nothing to celebrate, but in the end, better than Barca Smiley
one man down and they still managed to grab the 3 pts at the end. Massive win for Valencia and good debut for Gattuso, the fans couldn't ask for more after everything that's been going down with the club lately

Yeah, great start for me too on my first La Liga bet (if you don't count the Super Cup where I bet against Real Madrid)! RM over 1.4 was probably super value, but I sensed Almeria would want a quick start and try to defend it, so booked myself a nice 6/1+ win for the home team to lead at half time.

Nothing interesting for me tonight really, but Atletico to drop points maybe?

I was hoping to post today with relief or something about Real Madrid's title defence after Barca's dismal performance.

I know it's only 2 points, but you know how precious these points are so early on in the season. Especially when it's the top 2 sides in the country.

Come on Valencia, remind us!!

After the first half, Real Madrid loses 1-0, theoretically there is still a whole half ahead and they have time to not only recoup but also win. It's funny that at the end of the second half, Real Madrid's victory quote reached 2.1, and now, when it's already a break, it's only 2.0. What do you think is a value bet? I think so.
By the way, it seems that today Real Madrid will break the record for the number of corners.

Sevilla and Valencia, rug pullers of La Liga Wink
you know they're in big trouble when they start selling their star players to mid-table teams in the premier league (e.g. Diego Carlos to Villa and Guedes to Wolves)

at least for first round, Barca and Sevilla proved to be rug pullers this season

agree that having top La Liga teams selling their stars to mid-table Premier league teams is telling everything about both leagues

I am actually just catching up with some news and reading that Barca also trying to sell Auba, what?

And I was dumb enough to think Auba+Lewi would be the surprise duo lighting up La Liga heh.

Pretty much a dumb start for everyone so far, don't worry, first week blues.

Hello darkness my old friend... I can't believe that Barca didn't managed to score against mighty Rayo Vallecano 3 games in a row. We struggled to make something really dangerous and when we had moments, it ended with shots to 20th row of stands. Simply let Frenkie to play... 2nd half was a bit better, but still ,noy something special.
Real will start season against Almeria, I expect that that it will be easy walk in park for them.
I watched just last 30 minutes of the game. Frenkie was unbelievably good and they are stupid if they want to get rid of him. Better loose half of the team than him. He was playing that deep playmaker perfectly. Busquets and Kessie were awful thiugh.

How did Pedri and Raphinha look? They got subbed before I tuned in and I expect great things from them this season.

I guess I dodged a bullet with Sevilla ML, as I settled for the Over 1.5 instead which was of reasonable value. Osasuna won the game, I couldn't catch up with majority of game, I could watch the last 10 minutes, but Osasuna were still in quite comfortable despite leading the game and didn't look to be under much pressure.

still, interesting that no one had Osasuna to win in the pool, despite having 2,40 odds on Sevilla
Sevilla will be, most probably, most overrated team this season, and they will hardly end-up in top4 (really hope for Valencia to replace them, but Betis or Villareal are probably better picks)

had draw in the pool, but that was just on overrated Sevilla expectations

I likely would be going for a Sevilla win for value or Over 1.5 goals @ 1.43.
that Sevilla win @2.4 looks like a trap and right now i'm like one of those characters in the cartoons when they see massive red button with the big sign 'Danger' on it, i wanna push that damn button and place that bet lol,, i'm being tested, must resist

Waiting for Barca news, will be very difficult for them if they don't manage to register new signings.
no worries. Fourth level activated: https://www.fcbarcelona.com/en/club/news/2736062/fc-barcelona-official-announcement

they'll be able to register the new players and maybe sign marcos alonso

I have heard several people criticize the board for their actions so far, but to be honest I really don't think there was much they could have done, It was either they keep trusting on them young players without any form of investment, but the club would lose more value if they should become less competitive in the league and Europe over the next few seasons, I wouldn't want the club to become the AC Milan of the last decade, and live solely off their past achievements, and they wouldn't stop the debts from increasing either ways but we've seen so far is that despite the club crisis it's still able to attract players of the highest caliber. If the investments so far is able to bring the club back to the level it attained some years back, I'm sure the ends would then justify the means, and if not that level of which the club have attained in those years, there's no ways the rights/shares of the clubs sold so far would have been worth anywhere near those value.

I still thought Sevilla should take home the cake last night (or tomorrow morning where I am at the moment) but you know the drill for them.  Lose a game or two, then get a string of victories. Build up hope, build up expectation. Get the media excited and pundits confident. Then pull the rug out from under everyone's feet.

So the strategy its, keep selling "club assets"?. As i said this i have to say, really good deal (if not backdoors in the contract) 100 million euros for a 24% of BarcaStudios, seems really good.
And what its BarcaStudio hahahaha?

I don't see Sevila winning today but it is very difficult to judge first games of the season, we have absolutely nothing to go with. Both to score could be an option but still risky.  I am skipping this one for betting and going with a scoring draw in our pool.

Enough about Serie A, we have another topic for that after all. La liga starts tomorow with Sevilla game, so make sure you have made your picks.

I'm quite anticipating the new season, It's been a long time coming. Osasuna playing at home against Sevilla, I know it's the first game of the new season, and it can be really tricky to place bet ML outrightly on any team for the start, however, Sevilla's ML @ almost 2.50 Odds is having me salivating, but can they pull it off ? I know Sevilla have lost quite a number of important players in the team, but they've also made a few notable signings too, Isco on a free transfer from Real Madrid and Telles from Man Utd are the most significant ones imo, Isco is out for tomorrow games as per the coach's decision.

I likely would be going for a Sevilla win for value or Over 1.5 goals @ 1.43.

Barca will probably destroy Rayo in first round

I really don't know what to will happen with Barcelona vs Levante, Barcelona are currently in a race against time to have all their new signings registered with the league authorities and it's about 36 hours left until the game, although as per the rules the team can register its players as late a 5 minutes before the match, but given the nature of the transfer that could make it easier for Barcelona to register the players, I'd say they'd all miss the deadline to be available to game.

Barcelona lost both fixtures to Rayo Vallecano last season, so if the new signings are not available for the match, history could repeat itself.
