I am happy to inform you guys that sponsorship has been secured, our main Sponsor this year is again Sportsbet.io with whooping 100mBTC. Should be even better money by the time rewards get to be paid out. We will also have our secondary sponsor buwaytress to chip in with something. I will let him announce it himself.

Buy in for our pool will be 1.5 mBTC and we will again have some free bets promos/challenges for participants, courtesy of Sportsbet. I expect that this part will be more or less same as last year. Did not iron out all the last details yet. Will officially start the pool tomorrow probably so you guys can start joining.

is that La Liga or Fifa fair play?
to let Barca spent what they do not have, and other clubs cannot spend what they actually have

interesting story with Lewa and Barca dough, not sure that he will be that good at Barca, but he will probably prove me wrong, nevertheless, for me, he is overpaid looking at his age, great deal for Bayern, IMO
I like to see how Barca improved squad during this transfer window, but on the other hand, how they're spending way more money than they earn isn't healthy for club which is already in enormous debt. Ok they're working on how to reduce this debt, like new sponsorship deal with Spotify, they also sold 10% of money that they're going to makefrom La Liga TV rights deal in upcoming 25 years for over 200 million, but it's not enough, especially if they're going to spend so much money for players. There is good article on ESPN about it:

Yes totally agree Trofo but what i heard its more more deep but i dont think this can happen, i heard Barcelona in two years dissapear, only a miracle can save from going bankrupt, I dont think this was 100% true but.... the debt its quite high....

not sure what are their bankrupt options, maybe someone from Spain could explain it better, but AFAIK Barca ownership is within fans, somewhat complex, but as crowdsourced company (no one owner)

and it is hard to see them bankrupt without having political issues with Catalonia, so I do not see that as option

saw on Troll football that they are trolling them with some 30-year payment plans and similar, so that is probably a way to get money for new players, and they started with Camp Nou rent for weddings (saw trolling on twitter as well)

can FC Barcelona win something with this team next season?

Kessie adds box-to-box prowess, Dembele + Lewa is a deadly duo on the attack, if Barca can sign Azpilicueta it'll be a massive upgrade in the RB position

I'd like to think so, and call me stupid but as soon as I read the news about Lewandowski, I thought exactly the same myself. Dembele is now coming into the best form of his life, honestly, and even his attitude is changing. He not only can score but he'll prefer to supply, and Lewandowski never my favorite player but cannot say he is not a finisher.

Bear in mind this is mostly short term. We still have to fix our main issues (club) before we can solve team issues.

I heard a rumour, the rumour say Barcelona sell his soul to the demon, they sell the whole images right for 30 years or more to a company in change of cash.
Interesting take, if that is true the losses in future revenues will be enormous. It is almost like taking a credit loan to buy crypto, can work out ok, but chances are you are gonna regret your decision. It is never good to spend money you don't have. I know most of the big clubs are actually spending money they don't have and taking loans, but Barca is under watchful eyes of several entities at the moment and I feel they could end up in even bigger problems.

So far they have spent more than any other club and they are in debts. Perfect example of modern football Smiley

I am not sure. Fifa fair play is something that biggest clubs get around anyway so I guess La Liga is the one that gives them problems. They spent so many millions on players and there is again talk that they can't register them unless they get rid of De Jong, his wage is obviously too big for their financial structure. But I don't even know how they are paying for those transfers, I guess some monthly installments and bonuses, all the usual shenanigans.

I am not sure Raphinha was worth that much money, Lewa on the other hand is getting towards the end of his career but he should guarantee 20+ goals per season and that will come handy. Looking at that formation you linked above, I am thinking both to score on every single game Smiley

It will be more this season, at least for me. There will be a championship league pool as well and fantasy premier league pool. Not sure what buy ins for those will be but I expect them on the similar level. That means I have to pay 200$ for sure. As I wrote somewhere already, ROI is great with all sponsorships and it is money well spent but you have to pay that amount upfront for whole season and that can be though for some participants.

I know LTU_btc asked but yes, Championship league pool is this you referring to Champions League? EFL Championship, can't imagine there's enough people interested for that.

I forgot about that (Champions League) and of course I will join, but last seasons didn't really happen well.

Fantasy I won't play, I have not much ideas of players in England. Even in Spain these days I am getting less and less up to date due to work. It was so bad last few seasons I didn't even realize some players had retired all over the place (or my brain pretends they are still playing).

Do you mean Champions league or there will be EFL Championship pool too? Cheesy
I agree that if you want to play in all pools, you have to spend quite significant money for it. I'm playing in all football pools + F1 pool. But it's not something what I can't afford to spend for whole season fun

In my country people are earning 300 dollars on average. If these people want to join all of the pools on the forum they will have to spend nearly their one-month earnings. Therefore whatever the entry fee is I respect it. Therefore a 1.5 mbtc entry fee is good for me as well.

agree, add to that probable world cup pool, and it is above 0,01 BTC upfront, but it is whole season fun, and you are there for several yellow cups, just on statistics in La Liga and Calcio (38 rounds vs 15-20 participants)

and you can get prize in the end, so very well spent money at the beginning, for a season of fun, it is hard to see it better, but shirt would made it

Hello guys of course count me in also!

This is MY favorite league and even tho I'm so shit in it, I want to believe in my team.

Very agree with 1.5mbtc also it's definitely not a big amount for most of us but as pointed out $30 can be something of greater value in some places and imagine if you play all pools it is 5.5 mbtc or $110. That's over half month salary for some of my friends. I would feel really bad actually if they found out I played football with that money  Tongue

Hey guys, can't wait for upcoming season. Offcourse that I'm going to play, count me in. I'm going to play in Serie A pool, despite that most likely I'm going to be in the bottom part of table Cheesy. I'm also fine with 1.5 mBTC, I don't think that's too much.
In general I'm happy about Barcelona transfers. Seems that Lewandowski will join Barca too. Few years ago it was difficult to imagine him in Barcelona, I always thought that one day he will move to Real. But there is some things which left mixed feelings. Departure of Dani Alves and story with de Jong doesn't looks good.

Bump

New season is getting closer and I plan to start the pool in next couple of days. Still talking about some sponsorship stuff to see how much we will have in the pot. I plan on making buy in usual range. This time it could be something between 1-2 mBTC. If you have your preferences let me know. Same goes for Serie A pool. This one was closer on my list so I posted here Smiley

I'm in.
