Chelsea was a surprise but not the Newcastle loss.

Last season, Chelsea and Spurs and United were the gifts that kept on giving.
I don't understand why Chelsea is blundering. Didn't they have a great pre-season? If I can remember correctly, they haven't lost a single match in the pre-season. They have invested heavily and changed the manager but nothing is working. This has been happening especially after the changes in ownership, since Todd Boehly took over.
Well, they have spent a huge sum but they didn't get a proper scorer where they are lacking, imo.

Just to be confirmed, I haven't seen any UCL pool here. If I can remember correctly, last year hilariousandco hosted the UCL pool here but I can't see anything now. Although I have joined so many pools, UCL would be great fun and I would gladly join.

Last season, Chelsea and Spurs and United were the gifts that kept on giving. I took 2 separate freebets involving Chelsea's loss but actually felt confident enough to follow up with this one:

My regret was not doing it earlier when you could easily get 9/1 with a price boost. Chelsea, United, for the time being, if you see 7/1 against them, take it. Depending on Liverpool, go against them too -- but judging from odds, bookies don't rate them too well.
F*** man! Good for you. See what they cost me LOL.

No doubt Liverpool is going to score few more goals in in the next remaining minutes, I don't see any reason for Barcelona not to win means I lost a good odd of 9.76 only for Fucking Chelsea.

I don't understand my internet today. Down right at Liverpool match. Data works but I'll kill it if I stream so I'm stuck with beers and live commentary and BTT haha
Sad, when I am not home flashscores is my only hope LOL

I don't understand football at all with Newcastle. But I made wrong pick in almost all the games, hope Liverpool don't disappoint because Matty Cash and Olie Watkins are really on top form.

Salah is Muslim, and there is no better place to raise children than Saudi Arabia; he has already won everything in Europe, and his work in Europe is over. With what the Saudis are providing, it's time for him to have a stronger retirement plan. Salah wants to leave Liverpool, but he's being held at gunpoint at Anfield.

I don't know much about these things but Saudi brand of Islam doesn't always agree with every other Muslim. Some believe it's too extreme while I believe countries like Egypt and Turkey have a different take, so it's not the best thing necessarily.

I think Salah loves his family tho so you got a point, if he moves it's for family security. He and family will never be loved more outside Liverpool tho I believe.

Well not for Newcastle that lost to Brighton but I cant believe that Chelsea would lose to Nottingham in a home game. Poch is really going to risk his entire reputation now if he keep on not getting those 3 points for the upcoming games. I gotta say that Im happy Chelsea didnt win but I didnt even picture them losing to Nottingham at this point.

Its even more surprising that @mitchr4 and @Avirunes were actually predicting Chelsea to lose

Whats with Liverpool rejecting £100m + add ons for 30yrs old Salah? that's a crazy amount to reject for someone who will walkout for less next season. Big mistake.

Wow I just saw the news too, the original offer was 30m so I guess they think they can get 150m now, I think if January window comes they might be tempted if they are not in top 4 by then. Big mistake, but do you really think Salah will walk out for less when he still believes he can challenge t prime level for a few more years?

City vs Fulham, Chelsea vs Forest. I have bets for both home team in an 8 fold. While there are no doubt about City but I hope Chelsea do not choke.

I feel sorry for you - they did choke as usual.

Chelsea after 4 rounds has 4 points and their usual 11th place  Grin
What's wrong with this team? It's good that Bayern won minimally today (and thus my multibet would still not work due to the fact that I bet on Bayern to win with a handicap), otherwise I would have been very upset.

Son Heung Min pleased me today - it was not for nothing that I took him to my fantasy team  Smiley

Chelsea was a surprise but not the Newcastle loss. Brighton have been brilliant all season and only failed to win against WestHam were they absolutely dominated the game with almost 80% of the possession and the Hammers relying on the counter attack play to score against the run of play. They were also playing at home which gave them even more chances of winning.

It was a game that could have gone either way but Brighton winning was not unexpected, maybe the scoreline was however.

A week of surprise results I would call this so far with Chelsea losing and also Newcastle losing, these are normal in Premier League as the Premier League is full of surprises when it comes to results but this season have started with a lot of them since the early weeks of the Premier League while we have witnessed the highest level of surprises in the latest weeks of the season at least in the last couple of seasons.

Tomorrow good games and Arsenal will have a true test of their strength against Manchester United which for me based on what I have seen from both teams,Arsenal should win the game of tomorrow,in the pool now that I am checking I see 4 positions up but the amount of points is not satisfying in these first weeks.

Brighton have been absolutely great in the first half. Newcastle could not get close to them all through the first 45', they controlled the pace of the game and made things very difficult for Newcastle when they got the ball and it was one of such pressure high up the field that led to the goal.
Roberto De Zerbi has done great with the players at his disposal, playing brilliant football even after losing two of their key midfielders.

I hope Newcastle can rescue the match cause I predicted a victory for them 1 - 2. They need to be a totally different side in the 2nd half to stand a chance.

I hope Chelsea do not choke.
They did.

I was watching CL draw. We will have a CL without Liverpool this season. What a pain. I think I will support Newcastle this season LOL. Arsenal and Utd have very good chance to overcome the group stage. Nothing to speak for City LOL

Anyway, match day starts tomorrow. Who are missing their picks. I will do it in a few hours.

Did you see Liverpool's group in Europa? Hey, at least we rekindle romances that haven't been stoked since... never. First time meeting LASK and  Union St G... last time we met Toulose was a UCL qualifier post Istanbul =)
We are there anyway. So do we have Europa pool. May be I will join the pool if we do. Never thought I will join there though.

I rarely go for draw but I am lucky that I did it in Shaff vs Everton. At-least I can use these 1.5 extra points LOL

City vs Fulham, Chelsea vs Forest. I have bets for both home team in an 8 fold. While there are no doubt about City but I hope Chelsea do not choke.

Come on Everton you can do it! Said everyone before Sheffield scored 2 lol
Even better, Pickford put his team behind. When you think the Toffees can't be topped, they top themselves. Least Danjuma got them back in.
-snip

Pickford and whole defense are miserable this first four matches, all filled with mistakes and failures
Danjuma scored, which is refreshing, but it is just a point in the end
what is good, we scored two goals, and that does not happen to often, so it is something to hang-on before international break

they say "third is a charm" Everton will really need that charm this season to avoid relegation, start is below any expectation, one point from two easy home fixtures and away with relegation fighter

Well so far I at least am seeing a good reaction from Everton, they equalized now and the game is still going on 2-2 with 30 minutes left to play,I think the draw though is the most logical end for this match as both teams had 0 points before such encounter and most probably getting the first point of the season for each of these teams can mean a lot to them.Don't get me wrong I am not saying that they should not fight for the three points, they should do it absolutely but even if the game ends in this way I think both teams should be happy with the result.

Football is full of surprises, and often teams with a lot less than they appear to have may outperform expectations because to collaboration, strategy, and willpower. Despite the disappointment of not having a club you actively support right now, you might still enjoy watching games from a distance or learning about new players and teams. Cool

Do not worry i will be supporting every club playing against the English clubs except Newcastle United. Manchester city and Real Madrid are two favorites yet again with the absent of Liverpool and Chelsea.

I also have an 8 fold. Two cricket matches where one is already won. It was Australia vs South Africa T20 and the in play one is England vs New Zealand. I hope Kiwis lose the match as I have England to win LOL

Chelsea to win

Igebotz must be happy because I have Chelsea to win.

Lol I'm not happy because you have my team up there in your 8 fold I'm just excited we are back to where we left off, the trust and desires are beginning to flow in. I like your parley but I'm adding Totteham @1.90 against a poor Burnley side.

I'm wondering your thoughts about this betslip. The Adana Demirspor match which was the one I was afraid of the most has been left behind. I trust the remaining 4 Premier League matches very much as well. Even though Virgil van Dijk's being suspended at Liverpool and the individual mistakes the team make in defense line make me scared, their amazing comeback against Newcastle with 10 players last week impressed me very much.

Liverpool and Chelsea wins look solid. In the pool, my prediction for Arsenal - United 2:1, Brighton - Newcastle 1:2, but I would not be 100% sure of the total. If any of the teams closes in defense after gaining an advantage, then 2-0 and 1-0 will be a very real result. Although the quotes of bookmakers on BTTS (1.53 and 1.47 respectively) indicate that there will be many goals.
Not sure what is about the first bet but the rest looks achieve-able to me. I hope you win.

West Ham draw no bet

Chelsea to win
Liverpool draw or win
Real Madrid to win
Barcelona draw no bet

Igebotz must be happy because I have Chelsea to win.

I wonder if teams like Watford and Norwich could make more money ping ponging up and down every season. Staying up seems obviously better but if you maintain a good balance, going down to keep salaries low (as you won't attract expensive players) while keeping payments and bonuses.
In the long run it will be detrimental to their finances and can also affect their sponsorship deals, cause partners are looking for stability and assurance when pairing with a football club - Entering a long term contract with a club that is always bouncing between the top leagues is not good for business.

The fans will also be the worst hit.
First game of the matchweek comes up in a few minutes. Luton are expected to continue their bad form and WestHam to build on their victory against Brighton.

Well obviously all these 'fodder' team would want to win and stay as long as possible in the EPL rather than being relegated because they will be getting alot more money coming in their way but for Luton which is a team that was promoted for the very first time, getting a draw against some of the EPL team would be good enough for now I guess

I guess Im going to be picking the draw for them this week out of curiousity  Roll Eyes. Most people would stick with West Ham obviously

Leeds from 20 years ago made mistake of getting expensive players to stay up and when they couldn't remain, became heavy in debt.
