Wow! Thanks to 3 exacts points from Chelsea and Liverpool, that's been my saving grace for this round, before those fixtures I was stuck at one 1 point...

Hopefully, Tottenham will make it better for me, I've got 2 - 0 win on them.

EDIT: Tottenham are already behind, there's no way I can get the exact score  Angry

Spurs without Kane sounds like interesting proposition to screw some tickets, if anything is left alive after Leicester slip up. I am not betting on this one but I have a big bet on Liverpool both to score.

Yeah Leicester screwed my parlay, though to be fair, I wasn't expecting an easy game -- no such thing against Leeds. Liverpool 1.8x at West Ham is too good to ignore, I know there's no Mane and we're playing with a back four that's probably among the worst in the league, but anyway, maybe Origi playing a full match benefits from Thiago and Shaq trying to get creative with only Salah the speedy frontman. Not the way they're currently playing though eh heh.

It's always easier to just pick a winner because basic binary oppositions are very common in humanity's thinking patterns. I used to ignore draws, but then I noticed they're actually pretty common and happen almost every round, so it's important to determine the matches where the draw is likely and make such predictions.

I don't really know other leagues well enough but the teams I typically bet on don't draw a good portion of their games, so I still feel I'm okay with picking a winner OR I take something with a handicap or DNB. It's not really my binary opposition to it, just an aversion to rooting for a share of spoils.

^ Yeah, have to say the draws are what's really making the difference at least observing my own picks. I have a tendency to decide on a winner, but have to remember that predicting on Superbru makes sense to look for draws at least when the sides are pretty even -- like Brighton/Spurs today on paper anyway.

I picked the West Brom vs Fulham draw correctly in this round, but Arsenal vs Manchester United draw was unexpected to me.
As for Brighton and Tottenham, I side with the majority from the pool and believe that Tottenham will win. While the odds are close, Brighton won only 3 games this season, whereas Tottenham won 9. Maybe it's irrelevant, but I think it signifies that the latter is currently in a better shape.

^  i think Spurs have a way better squad on paper than Brighton does.  Brighton did look good in some matches vs some of the top squads.  They weren't getting the results tho.  Now they're obv declining.
Brighton is almost always playing good football and missing their chances. I sort of expect that to blow over in some against one of the big teams. Spurs without Kane sounds like interesting proposition to screw some tickets, if anything is left alive after Leicester slip up. I am not betting on this one but I have a big bet on Liverpool both to score. West ham was good lately and I am quite sure they will score one, I am actually more afraid for Liverpool side of the bet Smiley

1.5 points from Chelski saved me from an embarassing potential 1 pointer but I still need Leicester to get 2 more to not look so miserable on today's standings.

I guess I don't have to be upset for this round with 4 points.I would have got at least 5.5 if the Southampton penalty would have been given. We have another 4 games today which may turn things around. It looks like the draws make a difference in points for every round during these last rounds.I hope this situation ends soon and we see as few as possible draws from now on.

VAR is ruining the game, did you see the situation in Southampton vs Aston Villa match?
Which one, the clear penalty for Southampton or the offside measured in mm? Those hands in box I already bitched about so I will focus myself on offside this time.

They were drawing lines between defender ass and attacker shoulder and it was proclaimed offside by few millimeters. I mean WTF do you have so clear line where shoulder stops and becomes hand? This is getting utterly ridiculous. Don't even need to mention that I was waiting for both to score for shitload of money so I admit I could be biased.

PS. Also had 1:1 in our pool and that situation was in the last attack of the game to make things even worse.

I can't believe I've got just one point so far this round  and, I changed my pick from the initial 1 - 1 I picked to 1 - 2 Man Utd win just about 5 minutes before the game started  Angry

I really can't stress how pissed I am with this decision   Huh

Can't say I've seen Arsenal play as well as they did for a while, even if they looked like they decided to settle for the point. When Willian is terrorising Bissaka, drawing 3 yellow cards, and even David Luiz looks like a tower, you wonder who's going to turn up from match to match. Another bleeping round for me. hilarious/rifmax (who's that?) looks pretty at 5.5;)

Oh and so much for BTTS huh!

How is that handball towards the end of the match not a penalty for the City? VAR room did not even call the ref to check the situation. Fuck VAR in Premier League this is getting totally ridiculous. I am just sorry City did not concede a goal so that it gets bigger news coverage. If it isn't used to overrule situations like this then there is really no point in VAR.

Probably said all I have to say (for now until I need to whine again haha) about this handball situation. I thought I had it figured out, but every game throws me a new handball situation that is or is not, and VAR "will it or will it not be used".

Can we delete this two rounds hahaha

This killed me for all the hard work before

Agreed on this! Grin
I had only 1 point from the last round, it's actually really hard to do that. I guessed only the City win, missed everything else.

This one started horribly as well, first I forgot to pick the Everton - Newcastle game and then missed 2 out of 3 (got only a point from City win again). I did well for a bit and dug myself from the bottom, only to get back there in less than a week.

And of course, when you predict 3-0 for City against bottom team, they can muster just the lone goal.

Not going well at all so far. I thought Toon Army would get a win but predicted with the crowd here. And of course, when you predict 3-0 for City against bottom team, they can muster just the lone goal. Wolves need 2, WBA need 1 in the closing minutes now for me to make it out with some points but tsk.

BTTS on the Saints and Gunners games? Not good enough odds for me, but I am counting on both home teams to win (3/1 each almost).

Congrats to all you reds out there, this was a nice win for Liverpool but could prove very expensive. If I got it correct Matip got injured once again and Fabihno has some problems as well. I think LFC has to find some money and buy one solid CB, even Klopp said something like "If you guys know some cheap good defender let me know". I am thinking he is now getting DVDs and CVs from bunch of defenders offering their services Smiley

They should at least make some loan deal or sign some older player with bunch of experiance who can get in the squad immediately.

The only time I decided to go against Liverpool they showed great gameplay and performance.I don’t care at all for the lost points yesterday as I am happy that Liverpool showed signs of coming back.It will be difficult for them but not impossible to win the title.

the same here...
the worst matchday ever for me - fortunately it goes on again tomorrow Grin

Worst result and worst outcome Harry Kane injured on both ankles,,, I think even the second clash was his own ankle hitting himself. Liverpool deserved to win, so no complaints. Even the Salah goal should have stood (but so should Son's goal then hehe).

Congratulations. Me and Mourinho have a "nice" Friday now.

1 - 3 Liverpool leading.
Yes boys are showing promises. Hopefully we get back the confident we were looking for.

Still few minutes to go but let's assume we have 3 full points. 4 points behind from the top position. Top three needs few slips and we will back in the business.
