LOL Lloris.  And wtf is a matter with the Spurs in this match?  They're poor at attacking, finishing and poor at winning the ball back..  And they're giving up corners and free kicks just outside the box which gives Palace a lot of opportunities.

Another heartbreak for me, I had Tottenham to win 2 - 1 in the pool and also a few parlays lost already

Liverpool are now also trailing already  Embarrassed Embarrassed

Can it get any worse this weekend Huh

LOL Spurs. Palace beat Mou at his own game. Getting points and the goal that matters with low possession and lower opportunities. All the same, dropped points for all major contenders of the title so far. A good result for Liverpool, now they just had better win this game, and win it at Half Time too as that's my big bet of the week heh.

Have to hand it to mole0815 he's more than twice the points of his closest rival so far with 14.5 points. Amazing.

I watched just the second half and Spurs were garbage all the way until Palace equalized. After that they started playing again and had a few chances, especially that nice free kick from Dier. They have the results but I don't like their game, classic Mourihno.

Anyway, time for Liverpool to show us some free flowing football, have a big bet on them.

Damn! That shit hurts, especially when you could have had the exact scores...

Almost everyone in the pool went with a Newcastle win, me getting just 1.5 points feels like a loss  Angry

Just joining in on the Manchester derby, I'm glad I haven't missed much of anything yet.

I feel the same when you go for an upset, and you only get 1.5 points more than everyone else, if not just 1 point, if the scores are crazy. Risking a few paltry points to get a small edge feels bad, especially when slam points start making it more sensible to go with the flow. But yeah, very tight at the top here anyway, except toma who feels like he's getting farther and farther away (from me).

See if Liverpool offer me some salvation today.

I got the Newcastle game as an EXACT score & just got a CLOSE with a draw in the Manc Derby. Hoping to net some points in the late kick off now, I’ve gone with a risky draw (Everton vs Chelsea).

Your prediction was closer than mine.  I thought I was going safe picking City and Chelsea, and flopped both.  Last weekend I completely forgot to update my picks, and dropped 13 positions, so now I'll be playing catchup the rest of the season.  It doesn't look like I'll get much help this weekend.

You would have had zero points either way, Crazy Saturday if you ask me, are the goals kept for Sunday fixtures, or it's going be a very low scoring week generally ?

Despite commanding the most of the ball possession, It's was an even game in terms of chances and maybe Chelsea deserved a point, but Everton sure didn't deserve less.

^ My hedges on some games are working exactly as they should (haha). Bet, predict and parlay on 3 different results... but the ones I didn't hedge haven't hit yet either. I did think Villa were good for the win, though, Wolves seem horribly lost without Jimenez, which shouldn't happen because Neto and that beast who shall not be named (cough*dama) alone can terrorize defences.

My regret is switching to a Wolves win in this pool. Very costly 3 points that would have otherwise put me back in the top 5.

Edit:  Crazy..  Lots of cards.  I wonder what the odds were for over 4.5 cards.
Over 4.5 was not much probably, somewhere in the range 1.65-1.85 but everything above 6.5 was paying over 3 and growing rapidly. But who would have known.

Villa got away with 3 points today, a bit more than they deserved from what I have seen in second half. Wasn't Grealish on penalties for them? Was a bit surprised that he did not take it.
I watch match in second half as they was playing they deserve these 3 points Wolves clearly not good enough for this match Leeds and Wolves doing very bad in last few matches and going down in Permier League ranks very quickly which is really poor from their standard.

What a shame for me. Whatever I pick, the result is completely opposite.

In the Leeds vs West Ham I had 2 - 1 for Leeds but the result was 1 - 2 for West Ham
In this match I had 1 - 0 for Wolves and the result is 0 - 1 for Villa.

My feel teased when it happens.

I know in this match there will not be many goals so I gone with a low scoring pick of 1 - 0.

To be honest, Villa deserved the win. Even with 10 men they did not stop attacking. Wolves had few good chances but they were not lucky. An eventful match eventually with 11 yellow cards with 2 red LOL

Still looking for points in the pool.

We should sign that Thiago guy from Bayern......wait a minute, we did......where the hell is he? I thought he was only supposed to be out for a couple of weeks. It feels ages now!

We are starting to get injured players back now. I think once everybody is fit bar VVD & Gomez, we will pull away.
Nobody has managed to get more points than us despite the worst crisis I remember at the club.

Hopefully I get lucky in the ticket ballot for the Spurs game, only 2,000 fans per game so chances are small  Undecided

Haha I know! He, Naby, and Ox. Those 3 I've given up really following the LFC updates on their fitness. It's like as soon as they even suggest they could travel, then something else happens and then no updates for a week before they again appear on the horizons. We did see Keita play for a while but that game seemed to put him back in recovery.

Hope they all come back now.

^  1 - 0 could still happen with Douglas Luiz getting a red card (via two yellows).  I got 0 - 1 myself for Aston Villa but after watching the first half..  Nope.  Lol.  It's nice to win my first half to end in a draw bet tho...  Watch out for that spot with the Wolves without Jimenez.  Their fixtures vs the likes of Sheffield United and Burnley would be likely candidates for 'first half:  draw' bets.  Smiley

I had to settle for 1.5 points last with West Ham's win but sadly I went with Wolves 2 - 0 and I'm beginning doubt if there will be any goal in this match...
I am watching the match from last 15 minutes and I too starting to believe that this match may not have a goal. Wolves are looking to counter attack while Villa are having the ball in their legs all the time but no success in scoring.

I already have a bet for this match to have over 0.5 goals in a three fold. But it seems even if we get a goal in this match this could come from Villa. But in the pool I have Wolves to win by 1 - 0.

@hilariousetc, you were faster than me on getting off the line for a goal keeper.

Manchester derby is the game to watch today. Really hard match to predict for me. City are obviously the stronger team, but Man United have the home advantage, though how much does that matter with no fans now? Not to mention they've been very inconsistent lately either playing really good or shit. I want to back the away win but I might go for the draw as I don't have that much faith in them. I don't think United will win though but you never no with them.

I only saw the last 10-15 minutes of the match so I had no idea West Ham had a saved penalty retaken, A question though, If the penalty had been scored initially do they bother  to check if the keeper had come off his line even if so slightly ? I wonder how convenient it would be for keeper to be thinking of howto properly dive to saved a penalty as well be cautious of remaining of that tiny line  Roll Eyes

No. If they score then it's a goal no matter what the keeper does. Think of it like if a player is fouled but he somehow manages to score the goal wouldn't be cancelled and the free kick given. It's just like playing advantage I guess. Keepers really need to learn to not come off their line. I don't think it's a big deal though but obviously VAR is making sure rules are followed to the T.

Good Old VAR cancelling out the saved penalty because the keeper moved slightly off his line. Most penalties that are saved these days will probably have to be retaken with VAR spotting everything so keepers are really going to have to practice staying put to avoid this as most players aren't going to miss the second attempt.
West Ham, Chelsea these two teams are good to score from set pieces and in yesterdays match both goals of West Ham were from set pieces. Those set pieces could be avoidable very easily but Leeds were not careful about them.

VAR these days are not helping much in the matches, I think VAR has more controversial decision than decisions those make good sense. Other day in the last match of the round we saw a penalty given which was clearly out of the box and the main referee had it right but VAR found it was a penalty. Yesterday the keeper was off the line for inches, his right leg was on the line but just the left leg, Leeds got luck even after missing the penalty.

I went for a 1-0 Leeds win but I was very tempted to go with 1-1. Looks like six players missed out on their prediction for this match tonight. Leeds played really well in the first half and I think they would have deserved a draw at least but West Ham were the better team in the second. I think West Ham played well in the entire match especially after conceding the first goal they gone furious until the were able to equalize and in the 2nd haft they were better team although I think Leeds had better ball possession. I had 2 - 1 for Leeds and did not gamble yesterday. A lot of time I had in mind to place a bet for Leeds even though they were not as good as West but for some reason I knew I will lose if I bet. At some point I was thinking to go for over 1.5 goals after 70 minutes but for some reason I did not go with it. I wish I would go for over 1.5 goals.

Wolves vs Villa are at 31st minutes. Hopefully Wolves will bring me some points. Not watching the match though.

I am watching Leeds vs West Ham. Leeds are losing every-time when they are near the post. They need to shot near the posts more often than aiming the keeper LOL
West Ham was furious before leveling the score.

This match is still unpredictable. We may see a draw too but a 2 - 1 win for Leeds will be sweet for me and some others in the pool. A lot of us picked 2 - 1 today.
