I really just hope this current spread doesn't have to force another total stoppage of football, especially with the festive season just around the corner.

I dropped from the top 10 zone last week, but that's some healthy lead from @tomahawk..

Wish I could take the test, I feel like it's impossible I didn't catch it already!

I would not like to take the test, what do you want that?
and more, regarding tests for players, they maybe do not have tough symptoms, but could infect other players, that could have tougher symptoms, so I would certainly put them in quarantine, no matter the symptoms status

it is more important to fight the virus, than having championship playing, and everyone should respect that

Because it would be nice to know if I had it, or rather the test I want is to see if I have the antibodies. I work and live in crowded areas and where I feel like I for sure must have caught it as was having cold maybe once or twice this year. But I'm so afraid to pass it to my family (I even didn't visit them for this specific reason). Knowing is just to give myself personal assurance.

I agree though, it's more important to be human and also respect players who want to keep their families safe, regardless of what we think of the virus. As many coaches also said, football comes second.

Well that's why they have to wait it out as they could pass it on to others even if they're asymptomatic, but my issue is what happens if they're having to sit it out even though they aren't actually positive and have just got a false positive from a dodgy test. The test could just be picking up something else or just be wholly inaccurate. I don't think I've heard of a football player getting very ill from it anyway. At best I think a couple have had mild flu symptoms like Salah: https://www.goal.com/en/news/liverpool-star-salah-has-mild-coronavirus-symptoms-confirms/1cx37j6iy5xq01pnnlghfttpcf

That's my issue also I feel, that the tests are not reliable. And I feel like many of us in some countries have not the full truth about tests or even the virus, I don't know what to believe so I take more precautions than I need, again because I want to consider my family.

With Aston Villa - Newcastle being postponed, play with resume Saturday afternoon.

I'm currently sitting in #3; and 9.5 points from the lead.

Still some time to do research before making my picks  Cool

Thanks hilarious, it’s the EXACT scores I’ve struggled with this season. For whatever reason I’ve had a lot of CLOSE & RESULT hits but really struggled with EXACT scores. I guess that’s the name of the game, I’d he so much higher with more EXACT scores.

Oh well, I can only try again.

Predictions submitted!

Fans are apparently going to be allowed back in the stadiums from the midweek games but it seems bullshit that the parts of the country that are in tier 3 lockdowns wont be allowed which gives an unfair advantage to other teams. They either should all be allowed back or not at all. It's going to be limited capacity anyway and they're out in the open. You've got just as much chance to catch or spread it at the park or walking about in the street, not to mention at your place of work where people are still allowed to go regardless of their tier they're in. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55139826

The lowest yellow cap of the season so far but hey, they all count. I’ve already got my predictions in, hoping to do even better this weekend.

It was still quite an achievement considering the unexpected results.

Apparently 5 Newcastle players and 2 staff have tested positive, but it doesn't say if they were symptomatic or not. I still don't really trust those tests. Doesn't seem like any professional athlete has suffered with the disease other than testing positive either.

Me too. I know it's all the talk and we've seen bouts of players some seem to take weeks others even quicker. I remember when Ronaldo got it he was selfie-ing with a ton of other players at the same table, funny they all didn't return a positive test, I have now also heard many people take tests and it randomly gives negative/positive results. Elon Musk claims to take 4 tests, half showed positive.

Wish I could take the test, I feel like it's impossible I didn't catch it already!

Farewell LEO: o_e_l_e_o
I am back again in discussion. Last few weeks I have not watch any single match not even my teams but I was silently ensuring that I am not missing my picks in superbru. I would say I am not much satisfied with my outcomes and last round seemed very bad but when I look into other's outcome I feel a bit better 🤣

Good to be in top 10 by the way.

I think if I gave access to Superbru to my GF she'd have gotten at least 50% more points than I've got. And she doesn't know how many players are on a team.
LOL your best bet will be to give her the access of the account and let her pick.

Banged my scores in & I’m ready to go for another yellow cap. I doubt it’ll be such a low scoring week as it was last time.

I’m ready to do battle again Wink

Just quickly put mine in as well, provisionally though. Still a lot of teams to play in the Champions and Europa leagues and of course any injuries or positive covid tests picked up from them. Looks like the Villa/Newcastle game is called off due to a covid outbreak at Newcastle: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55151090

Not sure I like the idea of 'concussion substitutes'. If there's doubt then just sub them off or keep them off pitch whilst the medical team decide whether they're ok or not. Teams would probably take advantage of this and claim any old flick to the head is possibly a concussion so they can get an extra sub out there and we all know how easy players go down when any part of the opposition team goes anywhere near their head.

I managed to get 1 (one) point in 10 games. No wonder I lost a shitload of money betting this weekend as well. This must be a record of some kind.

I challenge you to do worse than me this year. I'm 47th out of 48 participants, I think if I gave access to Superbru to my GF she'd have gotten at least 50% more points than I've got. And she doesn't know how many players are on a team.

I think I've been bottom 3 since we started, that's what you call consistency!

I knew it was going to be a tough season to call but this is beyond my craziest expectations.

Life, Love and Laughter...
What a strange week.  Angry

Tell me about it...  I had money on Liverpool -1, BTTS and the over 2.5 combo on Everton vs Leeds and draw at HT on Arsenal vs Wolves.  And to win my money back, I bet the same amount I lost total on Leicester -1 vs Fullham.  Cheesy

Lol, my bad, sorry bro haha!
It was a very low scoring week, must be the crappiest yellow hat so far, only 10.5 points. On to the CL tonight & we’ll see if LFC have 11 fit senior players to pick  Roll Eyes
Our current injury crisis is so bad Sad

@hilarious
VAR is not being used how I thought it would be. I prefer no technology, at least they have an excise for their incompetence then. They have the technology now but they’re just as bad, it also slows the game down & takes all the joy out of the game. You can’t celebrate a goal properly any more for fear of the dreaded VAR review incoming.

very bad predictions I've made so far in this round, for the remaining matches I need to earn some more cause I don't like the spoon  Grin
I'm for Leicester and Villa to win

Leicester should easily win but not sure about Villa. Not sure what I'll go for on that one yet but probably won't be an away win.

Well I got the Villa loss prediction right but nobody saw Leicester losing. Only one person backed the draw as well.

Ridiculous round this week. 6 people sharing the last place with a mere one point seems unfair to give the wooden spoon to trofo  Grin. Luckily VAR gave me some valuable points on the West Ham game. I didn't watch it but when I got the notification that Villa had scored and equalised in the last minutes of injury time I was pretty annoyed that I'd be robbed of some well needed points from this round then good old VAR cancelled it. Just watched the highlights and looks like another tight VAR controversy:

I'd love to see the view from the linesman. It looks like another one of those that if you were looking straight down the line it might actually be onside. The VAR always looks from behind and often it's a bad angle.

Can you believe west Ham are now fight in the table? They snook up there. The league is still really open so far. No team has overly impressed me so far.

tomahawk9 still in first place and looks like he'll be the first person to break the 100 point barrier.

3.5 points for me, must be the lowest scores for everyone. Big winners: Manchester City.

agree for City, but Chelsea and Tottenham as well, since they took a point in their duel, and LFC is still on the same distance, since they did not win their match, but other team from Manchester (how good is to stay that United is other club from Manchester Smiley ) as well, nice win on a south La Manche sea-front

Arsenal and Everton just proved that they are not CL material this season, despite good start

Well done again LFC;) I guess I should not be too upset I feel down some places, at least it is still in 16th place AND it is not too far away from the top,,, except tomahawk he looks like he's just adding to his lead every round we play,,,

3.5 points for me, must be the lowest scores for everyone. Big winners: Manchester City.
