Newcastle won me the last game but even I didn't think they'd get anything out of this, even if I did predict 1-1. Certainly not before the game, certainly not when they were already down 2 goals! Letting Rafa go was STILL a mistake, but I'm the first to admit I thought SB was the wrong guy to bring in.

Anyone going for anything other than all home wins today? I don't think Man United and Spurs should have any problems winning by a goal or two, but Leicester are the one I'm a bit worried about. I still think they'll clinch the win but losing their last two games to pretty poor teams has me questioning if they're going to go on a downward spiral now. The fact that they're playing at home and against West Ham who aren't great either is making me go for the home win but West Ham are only out of the relegation zone on goal difference right now and they're tied with all Bournemouth and Watford on 23 points each so I'm a little concerned about what might happen in that game.

Yeah, I was torn between picking 1 of the 3 away teams -- almost all at equal odds according to bookies and just went for the Burnley upset. They won the last game while being the poorer team -- referencing your Leicester mention, but I wonder if that victory improves their morale for today's game. On the other hand United didn't play so shitty (they were just average) and "only" lost by 2 goals... and were praised by OSG somehow... maybe a bit of false confidence leading to some carelessness?

3 points from last night. Hoping a nice exact upset today to keep me in touch... still in 18th and 20.5 points away from a prize spot.

Arsenal showed a lot of fight & resilience last night which is something that’s been missing from previous regimes.

Good for them.

I wasn't expecting them to get the draw, especially not away and then considering they were down to ten men for most of the game. Props to Newcastle also on the draw and for getting two in injury time as well. Nice overhead kick from Lejeune who got both of them as well.

Congrats on the correct pick. I did abysmal and only got one measly point from last nights games. I didn't watch any matches but looks like I narrowly missed out on the Sheff/Man City game as City only won buy one late-ish goal. Only three people actually went for the draw so it's a shame I couldn't grab a point from that game. Only examples got the result correct of 1-0 which is surprising to me. I thought more would go with the narrow one goal win.

I am not surprised with hard 1:0 win. Sheffield has a very good defence and it's very hard to score against them. Also, in City, I think only Aguero is in good form, check previous round and drawn with Crystal Palace.

Good for them.

2:2 is like a win for Arsenal.  Without Aubameyang and with only 10 players, this is excellent results for him.

Glad to see that @tokeweed slowing down a little bit.  Roll Eyes 4.5pts behind seems achievable.

My first pick was 3:2, now I’m fixed on 2-2
But, you never know what my mind will do until the beginning of the match Smiley

More than being a show-off, Ronaldo always try to show superiority complex over Messi. He is always running a race against Messi, don't know if Messi even acknowledges his efforts or not. Messi removed his shirt in the El Classico prior to that one. But Messi was playing at Santiago Bernabeu and match was at 2-2 and he scored in extra time which was his 500th goal. This all justify why he removed his shirt. But the Ronaldo's act was purely envious based and he was rightly punished as he received next yellow card just 2 minutes later and was sent off.

I won't compare Salah's act with Ronaldo's as he removed shirt because of the joy of scoring against Man Utd but that may send negative message to people. It may have looked like Salah was excessively desperate to score. I could have imagined something like that from Lingard who is not able to score even a single goal this season but Salah already have 11 in his basket.  Grin Jokes apart, it is kinda disgraceful for the opponent.

I can understand maybe taking your shirt off if you score the winning goal in a cup final or a match that matters but Liverpool are 13 points infront of everybody so win or lose it doesn't matter that much right now. I know it sealed the game for them but so would have an extra minute as the game was over with the next kick

Same here, I also picked 2:2 in our pool and put money on both to score. So I am hopping you will be lucky Smiley

Watford is 1:0 up in the halftime and it looks like their renaissance will continue. Was about time, they have too good team to be sitting in the relegation zone.

What a match  Cool
We got the correct score after an early red & penalty, and also I picked my profit out of my ticket on both to score & 2.5 over  Grin

And Arsenal, is moving his statistics on with another unbeaten away match

Now we are in 91 minutes and Watford held for 1 - 1 look like this could also some positive for them as they have 1 point for Chelsea vs Arsenal now look like its one side affair Arsenal with 10 men down to 1 goal will face defeat by 1 - 0 or 2 - 0

New Castle done magic injury time 2 goals bring them on level  Shocked Roll Eyes

Edit Aston villa win the game 95 minute goal give them 3 all points  Sad

Another round with some possible draws? Yes why not  Cool
Make your picks, today is a match day

Chelsea vs. Arsenal? Well, here is a chance for a draw, 1-1 or 2-2 is my prediction, still not sure what to pick as a final one
I completed my picks but after checking last round and my position very upset as this season is really strange look like I am going to be in last tens as today still we have few unpredictable matches.

Btw, odds look pretty good right now: over 2,5 goals @1.90. BTTS @1.85. No bets from me tonight, but either of those would've my been 'single bet of the day'.
Good one
2,5 over will be my single too
And what do you thing on the over 2,5 & both to score? Arsenal could score one, why not
@2.08. Why not? Chelsea have been struggling at home with a shaky defence (only 1 clean sheet in the last 5 home games in the league), I could definitely see the Gunners scoring tonight (they failed to score at least one goal only once in the last 5 away games, and three times in the last 11 away games).

I think I'm addicted or something. Wasn't enthused by any of the odds to be honest but still went for a very boring City/Chelski parlay to add on to what I'm almost certain will be another Napoli capitulation in Italy to in-form Lazio (sorry, slightly off topic).

Seriously, if City drop points again, Pep's got to be dropping people and putting on some academy boys! You know, I probably never enjoyed Manchester schadenfreude in football as much as this season (if that's the right way to say it).

@hilarious Amen on the shirt yellows. I love Salah but he knows better than to put himself on the books needlessly. If he really needs to take his shirt off (btw Adebayo's totally begging him to do it in this vid), be like Firminho and wear an undershirt (Bobby got the topless-yellow in Doha after scoring the winner against Flamengo too tho haha).

<...> I  don't think it will be an easy game for City especially away and coming from the draw at Palace this past weekend.
I think City, as well as those teams in the top 5 who dropped points last weekend, will be extremely hungry for a win in this Matchweek. I predicted a win for all of them, for the big game tonight I predicted a Chelsea win 3-1. Lampard & Co. better not resuscitate an out-of-form Arsenal  Lips sealed

LoL, don't know why Salah removed his shirt. It was just Man United, not Real Madrid or Barcelona.

I always think it's silly when players do this as they needlessly get a yellow which could cost them a ban at some point. I understand when Ronaldo does it because he's a vain twat and wants to show off his abs, but I kind of expected better for Salah. Imagine if he picks up another yellow and gets suspended which could cost them some point. Keep your shirt on and celebrate as much as you want.

Yep, a lot of draws for me, but not that game. I think Chelsea should win here especially at home.

Guys, remember to submit your predictions for this week. I just realized Matchweek 24 starts tomorrow! And we even have a London derby!  Shocked

I'm sure a few peeps will miss out their picks because of these sneaky midweek games. Another load of largely unexciting games for me and a lot that I can't split again so I've gone for a load of draws. No games I'm particularity excited for but I might watch the Sheff / Man City game just for the potential upset. Anyone backing United to win or to grab a point? I don't think it will be an easy game for City especially away and coming from the draw at Palace this past weekend.

@hilarious: Yeah Salah saved me a lot of parlays as I stupidly added Liverpool to win by 2 goals (to get more than 2/1 odds). I actually thought before the stats confirmed it that the last time I saw that goal was from Pepe Reina (who's just joined Villa).

Remember not to be greedy trying to squeeze out as much as you can from a bet. A lot of people seem to do this with the win and goals scored or over/under etc but I think it just needlessly complicates things and make it very risky and usually only for a little extra in winnings which isn't worth it in my opinion.
