@LFC you're coming FOR those guys right? =p But damn you all Top 16, I am Spartacus!

@hilarious: I'm just hoping for a Wolves win and regular Pool saunter, I went a bit idiot and decided to put all Jan winnings so far on Pool at just around 1.35 -- it's Anfield!

But you're right even the bookies think the matches are tough, very, very close odds on almost every game except Liverpool's. I don't like draws though so I'm going to go for (slight upsets) rather than a share of spoils but draws are probably smart. That means Watford and Wolves and... Palace for me.

You have to blame something for your failure 😉

By the way, match day today and there are several matches which are really confusing. Taking a side is really hard. For example: Leicester vs Chelsea, Bournemouth vs Villa, Palace vs Sheff and some more. Not feeling confident much in this round too.

Nah, I think it's the new year. I am seeing myself in unlucky position since the day one of this year to be honest.

In gambling I am losing
In the pool as all of you can see I am losing
In real life with some events I found myself unlucky too.

So I will blam the new year LOL

Selections submitted by me but I’m only really entering now for the chance to win a consolation prize for most points in a match week. I must do better next season.

So is anyone else not looking forward to this round predictions wise? There's like seven matches where I can't split then and I've provisionally gone for the draw. I'll have to change some though after further research. All these could be close:

Leicester City - Chelsea
Bournemouth - Aston Villa
Crystal Palace - Sheffield United
West Ham United - Brighton & Hove Albion
Watford - Everton

I really can't back any of those teams to straight win.

Leicester City & Chelsea are right next to each other in the table and have both been shaky recently. Bournemouth & Aston Villa are separated by two points only and are both fighting relegation. Crystal Palace & Sheffield United united are separated by only three points. West Ham United & Brighton are another two separated by only two points and again fighting relegation. And then there's Watford V Everton. I'm tempted to go for a close home win but Everton are the better team but not one you can bank on so again, a draw is looking like a good option. Fuck's sake. This is going to be one of those rounds where there'll be a few draws but it's just pickingh the right fixtures which is very hard to do.

And then of course there's Burnley - Arsenal & Tottenham - Manchester City on sunday, which I can also see being close. City and Arsenal should win, but the games being away is making me worry.

Yep, definitely really tricky , hoping some signings will swing it for me ,one side or the other !!!!

Holding off picking some of the matches tomorrow - waiting for the transfer window to close  Smiley

Anyone know if Bournemouth have signed anyone ? Can’t find any info, so I suppose they haven’t .
Any big names for Everton ?
Crystal Palace - Tosun from Everton - any more ?
Burnley aren’t spending or Man City ?

The latest 4 rounds did the most harm to me unfortunately.

Some interesting and hardly predictable games on Saturday, like Leicester - Chelsea, Watford - Everton and Wolves - MU. Any early thoughts about it?

I think all games are unpredictable in the next round. Tottenham vs. ManCity, or Arsenal game?
Liverpool is also not sure against Southampton, even if they count new easy win against WH it seems like they have relaxed. I expect now is time for Liv to lose some points in the next 2-3 games.
btw. I find somewhere stats on Superbru, most points I lost on Everton and Manchester United games, 67%. this is understandable for MU, I can't pick results against them, but Everton destroy my stats  Shocked
Everton and Manchester United these two destroy me as well because I lost most points on them both never give any plus to me even last time when I was on Everton 2 - 0 against New Castle and very happy with my 3 points suddenly Newcastle done magic and give me zero at end.

Well I am not playing on United for sure Smiley Too bad it will not be a good odds for Wolves not to lose. Leicester should do good against Chelsea porous defense but I will probably play both to score on this one. I will pass Watford game , I really don't know what to expect from this one.

Slava Ukraini!
@Pamoldar, the very reason I'm betting against City, or United, or Chelsea this season (Depending on when they're the huge favourites!) is precisely because they're completely not to be trusted. The season's about just passed the halfway mark and I'm already making the most profit I can recall in any season, while risking very little. It's all luck I know and happy to be enjoying their misfortunes just as Liverpool's renaissance is midway.

I think that Arsenal and maybe Spurs can be added to the same list. I lost too much money betting on these teams this year. So, I rather skip their games instead of betting against them, because it didn't bring good results for me.

@hilarious: totally missed your video clips but have watched them now. Sky and BT proper thinking Klopp's got to be there, and I'm really leaning to that as well -- but at the same time I have heard all about Klopp and his thoughts from BVB, and I remember times like Houllier's heart attack I don't know. I think people can make calls and we'll forgive them no matter what.

I'm not familiar with that specific situation but if he hasn't got a good excuse like a prior engagement already booked or a personal tragedy he should be there and just not wanting to go isn't a good enough one in my opinion, but I guess he's free to protest or make a point if he sees fit.

There are some completely on his side though, maybe because it's ESPN? The panel's take: https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/28570719

Seems like nothing new on the horizon. Nothing from last night's press conference I could see either. I'm hoping he changes his mind somehow, cause now that I see Villa in the final and City's form, I'm thinking, we could really have won that!

Everyone's seemingly got an opinion of it. A lot of people do think there's too many games to be played as well or there should be more breaks for teams in places but that's a different argument all together. Maybe it will open up a dialogue about things that need to be changed. A lot of people are saying replays should be abolished and the games just decided with extra time and penalties etc, but then people are saying that replays are great for smaller clubs who get a huge boost to their finances so it's swings and roundabouts.

Another easy win for Liverpool, we have beaten all the teams in the league now. West Ham was the only one remaining, only because the match was postponed Grin

I think they play West Ham in a couple of weeks again but at Anfield this time, seems weird but must be because the one last night was delayed.

They do on the 24th. West Ham have Man City away as well next week. I don't think that will be pretty  Cheesy

Well I always said there are few teams who are bookies favorite and among them there are Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and lately City joined.

I know it but still few weeks ago I got greedy when Utd was 1 - 0 behind against Burnley I got bet for Utd draw or win. Final result 0 - 2 defeat against Burnley in the home match. Yesterday in the City match I was tempted to bet for City even after 80 minutes when they were still 0 - 0 down. But for some reason I was not much convinced and lucky me that I saved me to lose some btc.

Liverpool always is the team to relay and this is good for punters. By the way, congratulations on your winning of the parley.

yes, you understand correctly  Smiley

Liverpool could officially become champions at The Etihad. That’d be quite funny.
Now talk is not about when they will become champions now mostly talking can they win unbeaten or they will lost any match because this year they perform real like champions so time for some records.
