Life, Love and Laughter...

That was really close. Arsenal, Utd, Tottenham and lately City also joined as bookies favorit. In several occasions they lost me in my multi selections also even in single bets too.

Only 2.5 points separating the top 3 (after the Norwich vs Spurs & West Ham vs Leicester games).

Now it's 4 points because of getting the correct score in the last match last night.

Arsenal - Chelsea match is going to be tricky today. And in the Liverpool and City match I have them to win. I am sure most of us will have the same thought about this two match.

I got draws for Arsenal vs Chelsea and Citeh vs Sheffield United.  Citeh prolly feeling a bit down for dropping out of the title and could take a match or two to get some motivation back again (they still could get second).

Still reckon this is one crazy season - I’m certain there’s never been such random results and definitely never had such a runaway leader !

Yeah, things definitely do come in cycles for football but I think everyone at Liverpool are still rubbing their eyes in disbelief at how good our team's become. Klopp definitely takes most of the credit, along with the policies in transfer and scouting we've had for a while. We've anyway always only taken on players who want to play for the club so that hasn't changed but now we also have players like Mina who want to be with the club and who want to be with Klopp.

Many great managers, but Klopp truly is in a class of his own. Even his rivals can't hate him.

The team of course is the one going out to play games so seeing them grind it out, smash it out, stroll it out, swagger it out, pull points out of the hat in injury time, wrap the game up by half time, every situation they deal with. I've definitely never seen this kind of gap before, not even in a top league dominated by 1 team.

Best of all, we didn't need the bags of money City or Chelsea or United did (barring the outlays on Alisson and VVD -- which also at the standards of the time weren't at all big money, considering what others later paid).

Anyway, gentleman, what a Sunday we got in store! Old Firm derby, then London derby, then Pool, then Citeh!

Yea my point exactly, the league this season is becoming too boring, I remember when everyone was on their feet last season as the competition between Liverpool and Manchester city was intense and made the league very attractive. Manchester city this season has been disappointing.Their rival "united" is picking up some momentum recently as they're now winning winnable games easily and are currently in the top 5, something I didn't think could happen, Rashford has been on fire. I remember some weeks back Abraham was 6 goals ahead of Rashford with him scoring 9 goals and Rashford had just 3 but currently Rashford has 12 goals were Abraham still struggling to score against top teams with 11 goals.

And guess what we're playing against a top team "Arsenal" which likely he might not get a goal but hoping he breaks that cause since we broke the cause of not winning games against top teams in the Tottenham game. Probably Abraham can get himself on the scoreboard. My prediction is very optimistic so I'm going with a 3:1 scoreline in favour of Chelsea

I can't stop missing. I think I didn't collect 20 points total from the last 3 rounds.

Christmas period is usually my best period in these competitions, I expected to be close to the top and I'm practically out of it now.

I came 3rd the first time we did this for the PL 2017/18
I came 2nd in the World Cup one.
I came 1st last season in the PL one 2018/19
This season looks really tough though. So many guys here know their football.

Good for a competition where the gap of the points is not too big, indeed it is getting tougher than the last year competition.
I'm now at 5th, 10 points difference with you on the leaderboard and 11.5 points difference from the leader.
It looks like a big gap but there are still so many matches to gain points till the end of the league.
So there is still good opportunity most of participants to win this competition especially the current top 10 positions.

So Wolves did the double over Man City !
Hhampuz and buywaytress, congrats - just wondering did you do the double too ? Can’t check historical data on Superbru ?

You're asking me, the guy who remembers who beat City last season and who bets against them as long as it's above 10/1 odds;) But seriously, Wolves 8/1 I don't know why I still took it, should have waited and gone in during live betting after the penalty, or maybe even after 2-0 -- but I was too engrossed in the game tbh!

You can check historical data I think... just click on the round in previous, and then check pool results. Pretty sure it has everything, too lazy to check meself, but here's round 8 with that Wolves win: https://www.superbru.com/premierleague_predictor/play_tipping.php#tab=round8. That one was 21/1 Wink and I was the only one who picked it that time, along with 1% of Superbru. Hasn't paid off yet other than on individual bets...

By the way, tomahawk9 already had 3 correct pick out of four (!) and total managed to get 10.5 out of 12 (!).
Just saw that. I literally made my picks half an hour before the Brighton vs Bournemouth game  Cheesy

Funny how nobody got any points from the Norwhich vs Spurs, pretty much everyone expected an away win. I honestly didn't expect Tottenham to be the team that would screw me over in my four team parlay:

Have you guys seen first eleven from Leicester? Actually it would be more correct to call them reserve squad, there is maybe 2 or max 3 players from the first 11 fielded today. Vardy is not even on the bench. Have a feeling it would have been smarter to rest a player or two against Liverpoll, especially after they have seen what City did to them the week before and than have strongest 11 against weaker teams where they should get 3 points.

Edit: Match ended 2:1 for Leicester so this was an excellent decision from the manager. Have to admit I was a bit nervous when I saw line ups since I had Leicester to win on a big stake ticket.

I managed to get an exact score on Brighton vs B’mouth. Good start for me in this match week but I’m so far off the top it’s laughable.
I do not have any exact score yet and after 4 match my total point looks very poor. Only 3 so far 🤔

By the way, tomahawk9 already had 3 correct pick out of four (!) and total managed to get 10.5 out of 12 (!). This could be something one can dream of. May be we will see an all time high scoring round in this one 😀

Good start for this round however I was expecting one goal from Bournemouth. Brighton were conceding at least one goal in their last few matches but today they were differnet or I could have full 3 points to start.

Just treading water in the pool with these average scores now but I'll probably start to move down if I don't step up as the people below me are crawling up.

The top 10 has only 20 points difference which means one or two good rounds from anyone will change the order dramatically. I was not even in top 15 for most of the weeks at the starting but few average rounds brought me in the first place. Never lose your hopes.

Just treading water in the pool with these average scores now but I'll probably start to move down if I don't step up as the people below me are crawling up. Was going to watch the game last night but decided against it and regretting it now. Looked a very eventful game. City are just falling to pieces at the moment. No idea why players still insist on running into the penalty area before the penalty is taken. Not hard to wait for the split second after he kicks it. With VAR now half of penalties that are saved are likely to be ordered to be retaken because there's always an eager player or the keeper coming off their line.

Please can we just give Liverpool the trophy and move on to the next season to watch Liverpool defend the title with pride. Without much stress Liverpool would probably defend their champions league title as well they'll win the premier league with an invincibility performance. Where I would probably get mad is when neither mane or Salah would be handed the BEST award and ballon d'or respectively.

Yeah. Skip straight to the Champions League to see who wins that. I've always thought it was a bit boring when some team has essentially already won the tournament as they're so far ahead. Glad it's Liverpool though and not one of the usual others. Liverpool surely can't throw this away now. 13 points clear of Leicester. Are Liverpool going to lose four games without Leicester or City also dropping any more points? Just can't see that happening. I think Leicester will be up and down but I'm not sure I'd expect City to lose many now, though I'm sure they will drop some points eventually.

I knew Manchester city will drop points against wolves but wasn't confident enough to predict a loss so instead I went with a draw in the pool and it just cost me my 3 point. Congratulations to all the Liverpool fans in advance when and where will the party be at?🎆 It's now just a matter of time as you guys are already proud champions of England. What a year 2020 would be for you guys.

I was going to go for a 1-1 or 2-2 draw but thought City would be too strong for them so went for the City win.

Can't say there's many games I'm interested in or confident about today. Lots of tough calls. Burley vs Man U might be interesting. A home win wouldn't surprise me but not sure I'd back it as both teams are unpredictable. Burley used to be very strong at home and would often turn over big teams there but not really this season.

Boxing day 15/1, Yesterday 8/1, definitely turning out to be a great season of betting for me so far. With City losing 1 in ever 4 games especially, half the season's been excellent returns, and already 2 great wins this month alone against the blues.

Bookies probably going to adjust a lot of the odds down for them but Wolves deserved the win... and to save a penalty twice and still concede? Bad luck that righted itself!

Anyway, only me and Hampuz chose the upset, worth a measly 1.5 points too, but couldn't be happier.

11.5 points for boxing day round, and still 30 points from the top. Well done LFC boys;)
