I surely thought Lille was cooked when that red card came in, now the team is finally off to a nice start and we'll be needing every advantage we can get since there are only three questions left to decide our round.

The fourth question is so balanced and will probably be the big difference maker for most of us, it's decently spread between all three choices.

That was a very close match, first a very late goal from Fenerbahce, then the red card for Lille in injury time (I thought it wasn't going to work out) and then a converted penalty from Lille.

Now I've started with a one-point lead (which doesn't mean much) and also a point in LMS. So the third round has started well for me, I hope it continues like this.

Best thing about LMS now is we can take big risks with small buyback. But later, time to be more careful guys.

I first have to familiarise myself with LMS, how the system works, etc. I've just been lucky that I've never needed to pay the fee.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Man I hate Trofo, won the first point. We have 5 of remaining 6 with different answers. He go for ultimate Real, I go for ultimate no Real. We picked all yes for Europa, weird, but he pick Betis I pick draw. Then he go City and Arsenal, I choose underdog Chelsea and Liverpool. Then finally, he likes Zverev, I don't Smiley

But are there buy backs for that final round? If the leader gets eliminated the next best who survive the round wins the competition, or can the leader if they are still ahead despite the poor round buy back and win?
Buyback gives you the right to participate in the next round, so it wouldn't make sense to be able to buyback after the last round.

What if the 2nd place scores 2 points to go over the leader who scored 0 points that round, all voided?
Yep.

I am surprised to see that only 7 (afaik) players paid buyback given how cheap it is at the moment but I guess majority of them don't think that they can consistently get 3+ points each around and on top of that beat the others.

In BSFL's version of LMS you will have to survive the last round to claim the prize - meaning that you could be the leader and lose out if you are outscored.

If all players score 2 or less, we will simply void that round and award the prize to the player(s) that was on top before the beginning of that round. I will add it to the rules.

Guys, check whether you can see the answers on mobile now.

I did some changes, however it is some weird change from Google I guess. I will have to do it manually every round, so for some of these rounds you'll have to remind me Grin
Hello , just wanna remind you because I guess you might have forgotten...

All answers sent on time, so lets go and win 3 important points.
Good luck to everyone, except captain aral  Grin

Good article Snake, this season could be most interesting in history on BSFL.
Lot of new combinations with LMS and this could go in two different direction, one with massive reward because of buy backs or ending up quicker than expected.

The first point tonight between Lille and Fenerbahce is going to be very valuable. I really need Fenerbahce to score
I was lucky this time with Lille, but Fenerbahce was almost lucky when they scored a first goal in stoppage time  Wink
You are the favorite to win because I took more risks with some questions, but I hope to see Mbappe playing and scoring for Real.

I'm not sure I get this complete right, and perhaps there are some others like me.

So if there are 3 players left in the final round, and the leader has let's say a 6 points lead going into that round, if the leader in the final round the score 2 points, while the other participants both have 3 or more each, does that mean the leader would not be the winner, and the winner would come from either of the other two participants, even though at the end of the round the leader would still have the most cumulative total points ??

Yup, the leader needs to survive the last round.
There won't be any funny business though, like 5 H2H questions or 5 questions with 5 possible answers. It will be a standard BSFL round with an occasional Yes/No question in it.

I will check the LMS rules in the OP tomorrow and see if everything is written clearly.

There are no eliminations in the last round, so my guess will be the table will be calculated as it is in total and the highest points wins.

Nope, this was a mistake in the EURO rules and then we had to follow through.

Hey guys wanted to let you know that I am giving the LMS competition one more shot. I am not sure how much sense it makes when you are already 6 points behind and it is still so long to go, but if it makes any sense at all then it is probably right now.
What happens if in the last round nobody of the remaining candidates makes the 2 points cut?

Sure it does, I'd rebuy if I was 10 points behind with 5 rounds to go. In the late rounds there won't be many players left and rebuys will be more expensive, leaders will be falling like flies.
Already 10 rebuys after 2 rounds, so the reward for LMS is already at 12,5 mBTC.

There are no eliminations in the last round, so my guess will be the table will be calculated as it is in total and the highest points wins.

Lille's own goal in the 91st minute is almost unheard of. Does the away goal rule still count in the Champions League or has it already been abolished?

Twente against Salzburg is also very interesting, regardless of our tips, Twente still scored the follow-up goal and are already in the 97th minute

Edit:
Fernbahce and Lille in extra time, we could see a penalty shootout.

The away goal rule have been cancelled several seasons ago, I can't even remember the last time it was in play.

---------------------------------

I'm glad with Lille going through, not because it gives me any edge over my opponent, but at least as the first question of the week, I'll to be the most unlucky person on earth not to get at least 2 points more to secure a stay in LMS if not, it's "buy" "buy" LMS for again  Roll Eyes

I'm with Captn Arall. I picked Lille but still felt bad for the incredible VAR penalty that I couldn't believe. How?

If I read the stats correctly, Lille was mostly controlling the game and deserved to advance to the next round I guess? Well, not important now. But still a good chance for Lille to make it. Psychologically though I think Fenerbahce has an edge now.

My stats show the opposite haha. Lille surviving the onslaught and then getting the gift of VAR.

Damn, I've got to start knowing my opponents before the game week deadline has passed, I literally didn't have any idea it was going to be a derby with the Borneo Headhunters for this game round, after such a woefully performance in the first two, now trying to savage redemption from even an formidable opponent, when is this series of tough fixtures going to end huh Huh when do I get to play the weaker teams  Sad Sad

Heh heh. If it's any consolation I was just above relegation most of last season, and this season already look like my team want their seat there back. There are no easy fixtures here. Even Trofo and dar I only could get a point after clutch miracles Wink

I guess we dont but instead Fenerbahce awarded that silly penalty to Lille despite playing against 10 players.

I would have atleast feel satisfied even if they lose in the penalty shootout. Watching them lose like this totally leave a bad taste for me. Oh well there goes 1 point to notblox1 and its already feels like Im losing this round lol

el che ready to tango buddy, let's go!

For the first question we both have Fernanbache, so result here doesn't matter, Real Madrid game same thing...

Laliga question, let's just say having been in this pool all season I have learnt that the draw is a popular result but I trust Girona to get the result here  Grin

Question 10 seems to be another decider for our duel and Rublev winning or losing will be the difference in getting a point but I see this dude falling out, good luck.

Yeah last week the Glasgow Rangers with that extremely late goal and now Lille with an own goal, giving Fenerbahce the overtime. It's not exactly going my way recently!
