Ahhh Brazil come on, you had only to win and i can take a good early advantage in this round.

Aside of that, what a really good team has United State right now, is by far the best team on Concacaf way better than the normal big national team of that confederation who was Mexico.

@Slissy De Minaur did indeed have a weak moment in the first set, but came back as expected. But the level of his challenges will now increase, maybe not by too much, but perhaps sufficiently to get him kicked out on a bad day.

Bautista Agut and Raonic could be interesting opponents although their best times are far in the past. Humbert is one of my hopes. Griekspoor and Paul would probably be the finalists.

I did place a hedge bet here (kind regards to @cryptofrka Tongue ). Not much, but I placed a bet on the DOTA 2 question, De Minaur winning the tournament (which was around 3.9) and Dallas Mavericks winning the game. The combo gave me odds over 10. So if you get it all right, I do at least make a little bit more than 100 bucks.

By the way @Slissy, you were aware that Zverev is out right? Because I could find a website that reported before the deadline that he confirmed he is withdrawing from Stuttgart.

I don't like Dota questions because loser has another chance to qualify and so it happened, Shopify Rebellion won the first game vs Nouns, and the second game was won by Nouns

I'm glad that I got a draw from the DOTA question. I really don't like them and I don't like answering those question. It has nothing to do with eSports, but with the format that I'm not used to. OK, after four seasons of BSFL competition I learned the system of a upper/lower bracket, but I still don't like researching it.

the first game shopify rebellion vs Nouns, in the bet market I saw 1.5 odds for Shopify to win and that's why I chose them, and yesterday I checked the odds again in the second game, shopify rebellion had 1.3 odds to win, but in the end they lost 0 -3

@Slissy, you already got me covered on the Dota 2 question. I can only tie it as LGD lost their round. Good luck! Wink

luckily G2.IG  managed to win, which gives me a 1-0 lead. I also have an advantage in the Boston-Dallas match since Dallas lost game 3 thats mean you can't get points here either. But I don't like my answer in the Germany match and on the tennis question. and very unsure if Group C gets more goals than Group A 😁 But let's see what happens😁 Good luck mate😁

Thanks man, much appreciated. I am with you here. On the one hand I feel this could end in very deep darkness for me! Cheesy Total destruction is nearing. On the other hand I don't feel too bad about the tennis question, don't feel too bad about the Germany - Scotland question, and as you said I don't have a clue either. I went with group A because there is some synergy with my answer from Germany - Scotland. I am totally unsure what Germany is going to deliver at this tournament, but I somehow have this positive feeling that they are going to destroy Scotland and Germany is sometimes good at conceding goals and still winning. You are putting all your eggs in one basket and that basket is called England Smiley But you might as well be correct about it and I am going to see a sad 0-0 between Switzerland and Hungary. Difficult here and it keeps up the tension. So far you got me covered though. But there is a good chance that Dallas has been broken already and Boston now takes it home with ease. Odds are still a nuance in favor of Dallas in this game, which surprises me a little bit.

Good luck mate and if you destroy me, don't be too harsh! Tongue

I expected them to go hard on Ireland because in the game before they lost against Croatia that never beat them in history. I expected that they will try to make it up for losing that game. I even thought about going with 4 goals or more, but went with 3 goals instead.

I guess 9 shots on target and half off target was equating to going hard, but Ireland probably parked the bus. 3 goals was the sweet spot, I just thought they wouldn't go that hard.

And now Boston made it go 3-0, have to hope Dallas win their next game, not that it matters for me but I prefer to see more greens, even if it's to draw.

Based on odds alone I thought I had an edge on the Dota thing, apparently not considering that something called Shopify Rebellion lost 3-0 to something called Nouns. Not much of a rebellion, eh?
I can still draw tho, so not all hope is lost.

I went for Shopify too, they were the only names I recognized from the USA team. Same as my opponent so for once this question didn't even matter for me.

Quite surprised nobody went with USA drawing, we have a decent amount of players that are backing the outsiders.
Also surprised to see only vivekdhyani1 going with 2 Boston wins.

It's the last few rounds, I guess everybody's trying to be a bit more careful Grin

Damn!, I knew I blew shit up going for Brazil to not concede a goal, less than 10 minutes after Rodrygo had given them the lead, USA have just equalized through Pulisic  Sad

The most I really can hope for now is that Brazil fails to win this game. I just hope that's not too much to ask of USMNT, since they're good enough to get a goal for themselves.

/snip

I guess that no one believed USA can get a draw or a win from that game because all of us went with Brasil to win and we were all wrong. Another football game where it made more sense to go with USA not to lose, but it's Brasil they were playing against and we all know what Brasil means in football.

Is anyone following DOTA 2 results?

Yes, I am! Shopify Rebellion are one map down in the best of 5 final qualifying match, they are still the slight favorite despite the 1 map deficit btw, elsewhere "Team Zero" has already qualified, while Azure Ray will have another chance to qualify in the lower bracket final, a match were they should be favorites regardless of the team they face.

Guys, what is this cycling you are talking about? Grin
There is 24hour Le Mans for cycling, but it is not included in BSFL, another trick from you  Angry
Whatever vehicle used in race it is crazy to drive anything for such a long time.

Can we have 24h Camions question for September BSFL?  Grin

Much has gone as expected in DOTA (I'm sure it's DOTA, can't be arsed to confirm now I've closed the page). I am curious about Trofo's pick g2, they were in the bottom bracket but he must know they're good enough to beat anyone who drops -- and in Dreamleague I saw that they did, in fact, meet LGD before progressing in the exact same way. History about to repeat itself I guess?

But checking the last two years slightly helped as it was close between the 1st and 2nd. But I thought this was so hard to believe. A race that is taking 24 hours and in the end there is a foto finish? So I did more research because I thought you might be tricking us into something. Wonder how long it takes you guys to phrase the questions sometimes. Phrasing a tough question is tougher than answering it.

I read ONE article about driver chances -- I didn't bother looking for odds. And on the basis of that article, where it believed 4 teams were good enough to be considered equals as potential winners, I made my choice.

Remember, 24 hours is about 8 hours per person, and they're super prepared. They have averages to go into, they know exactly what speed to maintain when, with people talking into their ear all the time. It's probably a lot more structured than what we're led to logically assess.

I guess Harkorede mixed up Tour de France and Le Mans. After all, they are both in France. Cheesy

But checking the last two years slightly helped as it was close between the 1st and 2nd.
Yep, last two were very close which makes me think that this one might finish differently as just a few years ago there was even 4-5 laps difference. But as always I didn;t actually check the previous year's results and went blindly by "less than 1 lap advantage" answer.  Tongue

The good and rare thing about this question was that you couldn't mess it up though. I think I once messed up a question and gave wrong answers because I looked in the wrong place for information. In this case, no matter whether Harkorede things it is a bicycle, a wheelchair or a car race, any of the answers gives him a chance to win! Cheesy

The question is about Le Mans car race, one of the most popular in the world.
It's considered to be the oldest 'endurance' race in the world.

It is driven precisely 24 hours, teams consist of 3 drivers that rotate during the race and the winner is the team with longest distance covered.

I thought the same, but I am pretty sure Harkorede knows it was about Le Mans car race. But damn @cryptofrka and @Trofo, this set of questions was a pain in the ass for everyone who has never researched the Le Mans car races or has no clue about the Dota 2 stuff. We had some Dota questions, but this one had a twist again with these continental qualifiers. Someone here said they spent half an hour to do the Google research for a single question, same here! Cheesy You are turning this into a full time job guys Wink

Le Mans car race, I googled and then all these different classes came up. Then Hypercars and I thought you must mean those Hypercars. Then I read an article that they changed the rule set and the field of participants and what not over the years. But checking the last two years slightly helped as it was close between the 1st and 2nd. But I thought this was so hard to believe. I saw that comment from Harkorede and went to check the question in the table again, but couldn't find anything related to cycling. I thought that I forgot to answer some question because I couldn't remember seeing anything about cycling.

Not good start. Portugal scoring 3 goals is considered 'normal' but I thought they would play easy in the friendly, plus Ireland is a bit defensive. Then Ronaldo pops up lol

My first Le Mans Google search showed me one whole page of horseracing  Grin

Have to search Le Mans 24 hours.

I used to play it on PS many years ago, like actual 24 hours racing, me and my friends taking turns. Man those were the days.

I'm going to have a very challenging match against Harkorede this week. When I check our answers I see that we have answered only 3 questions differently. I didn't know unfortunately on the tennis question that Zverev withdrew. And I couldn't do any research about the bicycle question. So I'm not very assertive in this round. I hope that my luck helps me. Smiley

I knew we were going to have a lot of similar answers, and I'm however somewhat optimistic about the question differences, foremostly, I didn't know Zverev withdrew both after playing in a grand slam final, most of the finalists quite very often than not do not partake in the immediate subsequent tour especially if it's a 500 / 250, They need some rest too, but then De Minaur could go all the way, I just think it's been a while on grass so there should be a few upsets here and there, I hope I'm right, because that's my best edge from 3 question difference.

I didn't make any research whatsoever about the cycling question either, it was just a random guess for me, and for Brazil vs USA, I didn't even check how either team have been faring lately, I just picked Brazil to win and keep their nose clean, however, thinking about the players in the USMNT, I think I really should have gone for BTTS as well, that would have given me a much better edge.

Our tie could well be pretty much over by tomorrow, damn! I can't afford to drop points here, tbh.
