We are playing a very important match against leea-1334 this week and the tie isn't broken yet. I want to go up to top 3 by winning. I'm feeling myself lucky for choosing Canada despite not having much opinion on the question. I hope that the American coach doesn't make a surprise. My opinion on the Liverpool question has changed for now. However it is too late to change my answer from now on unfortunately.

You must be mistaken,  I didn't get any 9 points free from wake over.  Matter of fact,  I won my due against Kanapka 6:3. You can check it there.

Round 1 - walkover vs Saint-loup.
Round 3 - walkover vs bullrun2020bro

That's 6, with additional 3 against Kanapka it will be 9 total. Same as Trofo if I counted correctly.

For my entire 3 seasons so far, I don't think I've ever been privilege to get such freebies, I'll likely be 1st-2nd place by now, If had gotten such freebies too, although it depends on if those who gave the walkover aren't fixture I won regardless.

I'd usually say I'll rather my fail with honor, than succeed without it, but in this case getting 3 points from an opponent not submitting their picks is not dishonorable, so you lots should feel free to toss it my way too  Grin

Such a shame slackovic, sorry 'bout that! I think you still submit your pick now, If it's still opened at least, that way you'll find close if mitch was going to win the round anyways.

It was impossible to ask a good question because they draft the players and it wasn't known, so I kind of went this way - statistical advantage to those that investigate properly. 57% of participants chose Canada.

that is why I asked what is counting, question was pretty clear about nationality, but since 3 were from Canada and 1 from USA, I thought that maybe is about teams, where there is 2/2

it was a statistically easy to pick Canada on nationality
will be interesting how will this finish

Liverpool tonight, will draw-series with Chelsea finish tonight

I have a slight advantage with the ice hockey question, there are 3 Canadian coaches and only 1 coach from the USA.

Nice to see this was actually investigated Grin
This was a trick question, Canada is the preferred answer.

I wanted to include the all-star because I wanted to let you know it's being played - it is in a really high-octane 3v3 format and is really fun to watch.

He is the last one in the league, same as if he regularly finished on that position. 2 more direct relegations and 1 will have a play off with div 3.

I see, so in the end this really doesnt change anything on the table as he is already bottom 2 and I have more points than him. Realistically speaking his chance to relegate is way higher than me even if he participate in the remaining round. Well I guess the benefit that I get from this would be a free round for me because I havent play against him yet so yeah thats pretty good as well

Slissy, if anyone told me I have 70% correlation with one of the big boys at Sportsbet, I'd be flattered. Pretty much expected us to be different on ice hockey, Bundesliga, but not Liverpool-Arsenal haha. I chose slightly less favoured outcomes, as that's worked well for me in BSFL when it comes to tight games.

I have a slight advantage with the ice hockey question, there are 3 Canadian coaches and only 1 coach from the USA. Bayern Munchen will score a lot of goals 4-5 or maybe 6 (3 goals from Harry Kane) while Leverkusen will only score 2-3 goals. As for Arsenal-Liverpool, Saka will score with an assist from Jesus😁😁 But with my luck, everything happens the opposite of what I'm saying now😁😁

I already played Kanapka and won by 6:3. So what's the advantage I'm getting from a match I already won with 3 goals difference.
Bullrun2020bro doesn't stand a chance against me , you can talk about Saint-loup in this context, because he is one dude I respect considering his performance last season and if not one or two things,  he should be up on top with other's.

Oh casperBGD if only slackovic was right above me, but he's too far up to make a difference because if I win all remaining rounds and slackovic loses all, I am same point but worse goal difference. I didn't check the tables plus schedules too much because of the disappointment  with myself but I need practically 11-th onwards to keep losing while I keep winning lol

/snip

Well if I continue to fail to submit my answers, then the goal difference will be much worse for me. But if I were you, I wouldn't rely on the fact that I will lose the remaining games. Now I have to try extra hard to win few games that are left in this season. But I wish you good luck in trying to avoid relegation Smiley

lesson learned certainly, I am not checking whether my answers are in the spreadsheet after submitting, but will do from now on

first day passed, Newcastle show didn't gave me any advantage, since slaman29 had same answer
Morocco to go out set us that this answer was not important although different, so four more different answers to go, Jesus and Nunez scoring/assisting, Liverpool goals tonight against Chelsea, NFL and Atalanta
Liverpool tonight and than weekend show

Jesus Nunez, some of the most terrible finishers in England, and we chose to support one of them, Liverpool oh no, I regret not picking 3, it's the most chosen answer in the table, NFL no idea, Atalanta, coinflip.

Good luck to you friend. You need points to win this league, I need points to survive. Which team will have bigger motivation??

Yep, seems like you and Trofo have been the luckiest with 9 points won from walkovers. This needs to be investigated.

Regarding the spreadsheet - sometimes when you click 'Submit' it doesn't actually submit - it asks you whether you're sure you want to submit with that exact account.
If you have multiple Gmail accounts - which we all probably do - then you just have to re-select and click 'Submit' again.

That's why we've opened up the spreadsheet, so you can doublecheck if your application was successful.

Yeah, that could be my problem. I have few Google accounts, but I was sure it said that answers were submitted successfully. I know that sometimes I have to click on Submit few times to accept it. That's why I always make sure that it says successfully submitted. I guess I was in a hurry and screw something up. But like I said, lesson learned the hard way.

Btw, mitchr4 congrats on three important points and I'm sorry to all of you who were affected by my screw-up.

I know I should know this, but if Jesus doesn't even play (he had a small injury that he continued on), will that count as a void for the H2H?

Nope, it will count as a 'No'.

It is a shame to lose Kanapka so late in the season, this will mean some changes in how Div2 table looks like.

[This is very unfair to some people.  I still don't understand why someone can't go through a questionnaire for just 10 minutes and submit. Just because you're on relegation zone,  doesn't mean you should just abandone submitting there by jeopardising other people effort. If I'm not mistaking adding Kanapka points to those who lost/drew with him, this makes it 9 free points that Trofo is getting this season and this isn't seasoning.. Danm!!!

Damn slackovic, now it guarantees mitch above me stays above me this round =p 6 points for free this entire season mitch, does it feel good? Haha. I'll forever remember my free 3 points from CLS63 Wink

The best part of my screwup is that when I first checked the spreadsheet, I thought that the result is 3-0 for me because I thought that mitchr4 didn't submit his answers. Imagine my shock when I realized that it's 3-0 for him and there is no my name in the spreadsheet. I can't describe how pissed I am at myself right now. I could have mathematically secured division 1 with this win  Cry

@mv1986 I think I had a round last season also over within the first 2 hours after the deadline, as it was a match that started immediately past the deadline. Can't recall who it was but I won that one too. It is a bummer in a way, especially for the loser who has to wait a whole week to try again. What are the odds of having the same answers on everything else including H2H eh?

With the H2H interesting to note some people went all YES, some went all NO.

Yes but it does make some sense that we got the same responses for all answers and I can tell you that I deviated from my usual strategy for the first question. We would have had 10 equal answers if I didn't. vd309 does apply strategy rather than gut feeling or extensive analysis and I do the same. Hence the "No, No, No, No, No." because, just let the other person decide where to go against the No. Additionally, all the NOs give you the advantage that players which may not take part in a game for whatever reason are an automatic partial win in the H2H question. Now following this logic it was me who deviated from the plan by picking an answer that combined a single correct outcome (1) with a specific goal scorer, not assist and goal but goal only, whereas vd309 sticked to the plan and went with the X/2 and no other conditions required. Well played by him, well deserved point, well deserved he won the round!

@slackovic what are you doing? This is the worst time to forget and submit the answers with only 3 matches left.

@buwaytress we have thought a lot alike this round since we only have 3 different answers 😁 This will be an exciting round😁

I'm sorry that my answers didn't go trough, especially since I'm the one who is constantly talking that I don't understand how can someone forget to submit the answers. But that's OK. This will be a lesson for me to always check the spreadsheet and make sure that my answers are there. Man it's such a bummer to lose points like this Sad

Slackovic have been consistent and those 3 points would have been very valuable to himself too (If he could get it, but you can't win if you don't play), I'm convinced there must have been some reasonable for him being unable to submit his answers, I mean some who took part in the free week with a friendly against Trofo, it doesn't make much sense that he just supposedly forgot about the deadline, I hope he's alright, though!

Oh f*cking shit! I have submitted my answers on Monday (at least I thought I did) but somehow they didn't get submitted. I really don't know what happened, but it's entirely my fault. I should have checked the spreadsheet to see if my answers got sent, but I had such a crazy day yesterday and I never thought about checking my answers. This morning I went to see how I'm standing and imagine my shock to see that I got -1 point penalty for not submitting.

I didn't expect this to happen to me twice. First time with mv1986 now happened to slackovic too.
There are few matches left, but slackovic couldn't take advantage of this opportunity to get points and avoid relegation.

That's quite a bummer for us vying for a better position on the table, though, since there is only a 3 points difference between 9th and 5th position and you supposedly get a free pass  Sad
