I'm already with a good advantage in the NBA H2H and that could be the question to get me the round, all I need is Jason Tatum scoring 27 or more points against Los Angeles Clippers later today.

need exactly opposite, to see Tatum scoring less than that, to secure at least draw
don't want to put your hopes down, but he is marked as questionable, missing last game, due to small injury

hope to see him out today, or at least not playing on his best with that injury

not a good day today, Everton losing, although we were at least on same level with Spurs, and Liverpool could not win, so I lost a point there
Napoli and Bunting left to finish the day

What is the chance of this Searle guy losing to an unranked player  Roll Eyes

I need this guy to lose badly but looking at this odds, its pretty close to impossible isnt it. If this guy doesnt lose tonight then my chance of winning has slip away and the best I could get is a draw but Im not really confident with the rest of my answer. Damn I should have gone for all yes instead but I thought it would be a trick question so I mix some of it with no LOL
I also need Searle to lose the match. But I have hope since Goto knocked out another English player in  the last round, even then Goto had 5 odds to win the match. Anything can happen and lets go Goto!!!!😁😁

Update: I watch the match and this looks very bad for Goto..

but a lot to play today, Boston, EPL, West Ham is still goalless against United, and Napoli later today

West Ham have scored 2 goals in a very quick succession, that's job done for the first home team!

that does not suit me as well, but still waiting to see what Bunting will do

City smashed Fluminense, didn't expect that, could say that I was closer to think that it would be a close match, even gave some chances to Fluminense to win it, what a lose

I didn't know that, didn't Klopp play B squad in the season they won cup double though? IIRC Alisson didn't play single game.

Kelleher will be the 1st GK in both cups, that's almost 99% guaranteed. Also, players like Gakpo, Endo, Tsimikas, Elliott, Gomez will start regularly.

Darts question doesn't look good for me. buwaytress and I have 1 different pick and the odds on his guy are 1.65.
You actually investigated, right? You picked 'No' only for the guy playing against the champion of Germany.

Yeah, so I remembered right, in which case guys like Salah playing was not a guarantee or in fact, almost surely not to score/assist, yet he did with few minutes on pitch. Smart question, and the fact t scored even with known ways of Klopp playing!

I didn't investigate, I looked at rankings but still refuse to believe it. How often did seed 2 to 5 in tennis lose in first round? A lot! I have 4 'No' while jeremypwr has all yes so, need as many to lose as possible Smiley

Manchester City just finished off Fluminense with their third goal. So I guess the answer is City wins both games, with +5 or bigger goal difference.

I lost hope to win this one when they won the first game 3-0 already, but when I read that Haaland couldn't play I thought who knows, maybe they have a rather tight game. But when I saw their line-up, there still isn't any weak player to be found despite three or so missing the game. It's still a world class squad and one of their strengths is that they have so many players who are good at scoring. Congrats @CLS63 for that point! Now we got some questions with the same answers, but also some to look forward to.

Thank you. I also congratulate you on your prediction of a draw for the Girona-Betis match. We couldn't break the tie between us yet. However both of us have plenty of chances to break the tie as we still have 3 questions with different answers. If Girona managed to maintain the score in the last minutes last night I was going to have a very big advantage for 3 points.

Indeed, but that is how the game goes! It's wild man, I have just noticed that Aston Villa was about to lose that game at home against Sheffield and then they scored the equalizer in minute 97'. That game is a prime example that predicting games without a crystal ball isn't easy! Wink I am mostly looking forward to the Fener - Gala game as that is going to be a festival.

My biggest problem when predicting results of this type of tournaments is that I never know how serious will the teams and the players take the competition. I know that UCL and tournaments like that are taken serious. But with this I'm never certain.

I guess that would depends on their fixtures as well. As for Manchester City, their fixtures on 23rd was cancelled and their next one was on 27th against Everton so there's plenty of time for the players to rest which means that City has no reason to really hold back on this tournament. Well obviously we can only predict the game would end in a most likely outcome but upsets could always happen in this type of low ball tournament

Yeah, but I'm not talking about players being tired. I'm talking about games where a coach tries new tactics that can bring poor performance. I know that with Man City it's hard to send bad players to the field but you never know. All in all, I'm happy that I got this question right. With four questions I git three right. If it weren't for unmistakable darxiaomi, I'd be in a lead right now.

I had the same thoughts and last season I would have picked that they win both games with 5+ goal difference, but this season they are indeed unpredictable. I checked some of the past results in the FIFA World Cup and saw that these games are quite tight sometimes. Real Madrid won 5-3 against Al-Hilal, but before that Chelsea went into overtime in the final and Bayern won 1-0 against Tigres. That was the decisive info for me to go with a lower goal difference in both games.

Man City are just being unpredictable from not scoring too many goals to scoring 6 unanswered goals in a 2 game span is weird, by opponent had City not to win either of the games, but I was sure Man City would both games, but with 5+ goal difference isn't what I could have guessed right, I went for less than 5 goals, hoped for 1-0 or 2-1 win today, but a 40 seconds goals from Alvarez shattered the iota of hope I had left.

Congratualtions to Man City, they conqured europe this year, so getting the club world cup too, is just yet another icing on their cake!

Most of the top clubs do that, because their benches still have enough quality to win the games and it gives players that are on the brink of first 11 the chance for some match fitness.

Oh great now this puts me back up on 2-2 against @hakan2217. It would be sucks if he wins another point from this because that would put him on atleast draw for the worst result

I was kinda anticipating this as well but you know Manchester City is a far better team in term of quality against most club in this competition even without Haaland on the team so this is actually an expected result for them. Yeah winning this doesnt really mean anything for Pep but atleast they got another trophy to add on their collection so this is great for them

You know what, Alvarez would have been the top 1 choice on striker for Pep if Haaland isnt on the team. Too bad this dude got to compete with Haaland on the team

Wow I can't believe I have full greens this round, but my opponent has so many different answers that it's too soon to feel confident. Plus now the dart thing is happening, I truly regret saying No to almost everyone except the biggest favorite. In any case still I hope for "tennis" style upsets Smiley

Dobey and Bunting have found their opponents for next round, I need at least one of them to lose

I need both to lose Tongue

He often does that - he doesn't really want to rest them. He wants to keep them in match form and you'll rarely see a game in which a player like Salah sits on the bench.

He'd maybe do it differently in a CL week, but considering that Salah's going away soon, it was expected he'll play 30 min as a minimum. He'd put him in if we were 5-0 up.

not following Reds that closely, thanks for clarification
never mind, it was all good for me, since I had Salah to have 1 contribution

Dobey and Bunting have found their opponents for next round, I need at least one of them to lose
when I see images of these "sportsmen", I really have a will to watch their matches, but this festive season is putting them on mission impossible, it is just managing children parties and city commutes with them from one place to another, through full-out city

Oh man... I can't believe that a club like Girona can't score a goal against Betis. They were leading because od Dovbyk's auto-goal and now Betis managed to score to make it 1-1 which makes me lose a point.

Dovbyk is Girona's player, he scored a penalty - not an own goal.

_____________________________

Shame, my initial pick was a draw, switched to Betis last minute.

Well now I feel stupid Grin I just looked at the stats on SofaScore and it was a penalty icon which I mistaken for an own goal icon. Nevertheless I Girona should have won this game. At first I was also leaning towards a draw, but after checking Girona's results from the last few rounds and especially when I saw the 4-2 win over Barcelona I changed my answer to Girona win. That's OK. I have four more different answers to turn this round over.
