@cryptofrka I like this format, it's really intense, 2-legged seems tiring, but hey, we're all eager to slug it out. Of course, there will be guys like Igebotz who need more stamina, getting tired by Round 10 haha

If the two-legged game is going to net us more money, why not? At the very least, it will mean more freebets to play with, but I honestly believe the two-legged game will be exhausting unless we have two matches a week to keep up the pace. Back to your statement: I'm not tired; I'm just disappointed in myself; I started strong and ended extremely weak; 0 + -1 point for last submission in the last two months is insane. I hate to tell it, but my luck has run out since football season began; things were lot better with DOTA and F1 questions. You've been excellent this season and deserve to be at the top; I hope you don't bottle it like Liverpool.

You just never know with these sports, soccer was the only sport becoming rather very unpredictable, but tennis have had me questioned myself about how much I really think I actually know, going into some game.

I go into these football questions with much confident with little or no research at all and that's whats killing my rank.

Thanks for the clarifications on WTA. I actually assumed it was from today onwards (r4 onwards) but I guess the question got me stumped anyway. Some are perfect some already drop 3 sets, it's a real dice game with tennis, even more so with WTA lol.

I bet you the FIBA question got loads of surprises, it's not all as it seemes with USA even dropping a game to Lithuania Wink

Tiafoe is most clumsy player imo, I would predicted him not to make the 3 round or the 2nd week, but here we are, but I'm sure Shelton is the one to lookout for here with the kind of zone he is in right now and, with that service game that seem miles ahead of what Tiafoe could contend with or have up his sleeves.

And just like Buwaytress said, who would have thought France are not a heavy underdog against New Zealand when it comes to Rugby without the need to check ? Not me, and that's another question the lines drawn are very marginal and complicating too.

It's about the winner of the WTA final. It may not be Swiatek and Sabalenka in the final, but How many sets do you think the winner of the WTA final will lose. for example Sabalenka wins 3-2 in the final then the correct answer is "2" because Sablaneka lost 2 sets.
Still misleading, it is about the winner whoever that ends up to be, but it is how many sets ahe will lose in whole tournament. Basically you have to predict winner, check how many sets she already lost and predict her path to final. Wicked question, especially now that Swiatek is out. It was asked in that way to cover just that possibility of favourite dropping out.

And one more point, women play best of three, so  every winner can lose only one set per match  Grin
Damn! It was a good thing I was up late last night! I thought this was a trick question and only applied to the final and not to the whole tournament 😂 Of course I know they only play 3 sets 😁 Thanks for the clarification😁

I'm sure neither of the Trofo nor Cryptofrka would be expecting answers or submissions to come in today right ?

If there were to be any incentive for submitting early, I could have tried to be the first for the first time ever today, I don't think I rank amongst the people who really likes to leave it late, I don't think my name have even come in the reminder list more than 3-4 times, I'm actually curious to know who has the least number of reminders so far this season.

I have already have all my answers readily saved, but I'm sure any person who has been following Tennis lately would already the amount of upsets and crazy comebacks which happened so in the US Open.
I need almost perfect performance in remaining rounds if I don't want to relegate, so, I will wait until final moment to avoid any possible upsets which may happen before the deadline. In womens tournament we already have Swiatek eliminated, Pegula is probably worth mentioning too.

It's been a crazy tournament, we'll all we would have at least an American ATP semi-finalist, I wonder if they didn't need to eliminate each just so early enough how many of them would be left in the tournament, It's crazy a ride to get to that ATP and WTA level but it get's tougher to break into top seeds, the toughest to maintain any spot!

sorry to ask but I'm kind of confused on the WTA side of us open question. Is the question referring to whoever is gonna win the WTA or is it referring to Swiatek and Sabalenka sets only.
It could be any of the WTA players still in the tournament and the question only pointed to Swiatek and Sabalenka because they're always the players who reach the finals.

I was also confused when answering this question because I thought the matches starting this week until the finals were the only ones counted for the sets they'll drop.

@CLS63 you're running it hard all season, I'm frankly exhausted from the effort but we have 3 more rounds and go h2h in Round 12 so let's put on a show for this Division, eh?

you have Merseyside derby with me this round first Smiley
and it looks as in real life, you fight for title, I am struggling to avoid relegation, but will do my best at Merseyside

looking to round, Serbia featured in three (or four questions, if I count WC basketball), will be a bit hard to avoid cheering for my countrymen's, but will do my best to put good answers
being on vacation does not help either, so gut answering at best

have a good round

If I weren't in BSFL, I would never have known the All Blacks weren't an overwhelming favourite against... France?

Have a good round too! I went with gut mostly on footie and tennis, but admit looked up rugby and FIBA as deeply as possible, not that it helped haha. At least if you win, I won't feel bad helping Merseysiders stay up Wink

/Hey ./.
Dilemma of severa players... in my case escaped me the ascent a long time ago... for this final stage, a previous 6x7 game and this round 10: 3x3, six points that would obviously get me out of not falling into underworld of the lower division.

Then, if no relegation is seen as a "you're not fired" statement for the organization I represent.

So, I just wait for the questions and hope not have more penalties or buy a watch according to  div 1 genius player.

I thinked i can win easily the past round after i check the answer from my opponent arallmus, because he put some surprises on a few answers, like Napoli not winning on San Paolo, Hacken winning on danish pitch, but ended up in a mistake by me, and i scracht only a tie, in the last answer.

But well still maintain the distance with the relegation, not so good, not so bad.

You know what, I was happy when I landed point on the women tennis question and extended the lead by 2 points then it somehow got shattered by Arsenal  Tongue. Well I could have been getting that 12th position by now if only I won but all good because its a draw and I could atleast get a point out of it and this really makes things harder for my next round

All the best for you on the next round mate  Smiley

So we already know one guy who'll play in Div 1, and it's one of the quietest players across all leagues. Last season's La Liga winner by the way, which he did on final day, and currently in top spots in a few pools. I'm familiar with the user, but only because he's played in all our pools several seasons now. Kinda goes to show the rest of us are a lot of talk but we should be paying attention to these under-the-radar players, huh?

@jeremypwr we really took it to the end, didn't we?

Please do your best against CLS63, I'm worried about him chasing Wink

After these statements we want from cro2 team who are the organizers of the league to examine whether buwaytress sent Bitcoin to the Bitcoin addresses of my opponents. Cheesy There are only 3 matches left for Season 2 to end. Our target at the beginning of the season was to finish the league in top 2 after finishing the last season in 3rd place. However after collecting 24 points in 10 matches our target as a team is to be champion and win the cup.

So now I am asking can you tell us how many players from Division 2 are going in Division 1 for next season?

It's in the OP, 3 directly and 1 through the playoffs.

...

Season 2

  • 5.6. – October (18-20 weeks) – 14 teams per league in Divisions 1 and 2, 12 teams per league in Divisions 3a and 3b (13/11 rounds dependent of leagues, 1-legged competition) – (52 existing players, still taking applications for Season 3)
  • 2 teams will be relegated to lower divisions, 4 teams promoted from 2nd to the 1st division and 6 teams promoted from the 3rd divisions to the 2nd division
  • Bottom 2 teams will be relegated directly
  • Top 3 teams will be promoted directly from the 2nd Division to the 1st one, and positions 4.-5. will play 1v1 decider. 3rd Division has 6 promotion places (2 direct, 1 playoff (3v4 place) from 3A and the same from 3B)
  • The future outcome of Divisions 3 and 4 depends on the number of new players entering in Season 3. We have envisaged the possibility of relegation from Division 3 into Division 4, but are yet not sure whether it will happen or not
  • Maybe nobody will drop to Division 4, maybe 1 or 2 players will drop. So far play like the last 2 players are dropping down for sure, and we'll see if these players will be lucky when the season finishes

...

If I can make one suggestion for big changes that can make competition last longer and be more interesting.
I think now we are playing only one time against everyone in league, maybe we can play two times against other players, home and away.
This means more work for cro2 team but maybe we can have bigger rewards.

Initially the plan was to have 2-legged Seasons, but we actually feel this way it's more dynamic. Every round counts for more.
Rewards would be bigger, yes, but this way you get 2 seasons with 2x rewards - so it practically comes down to the same prize pool.

We are not saying no to 2-legged, we might try it at one point, but for the foreseeable future we will keep it like this.

I thought it would be in the total ranking of the tournament, but I see that it was only in the second round

Nope, it wasn't - it was across the first 5 games (3 from the starting groups, 2 from the 2nd round).

The top scorers were:

1. Dončić (Slovenia) - 132 points
2. Clarkson (Philippines) - 130 points
3. Markkanen (Finland)  124 points
4. Towns (Dominican Rep.) - 122 points
5. Gilgeous - Alexander (Canada) - 119 points
6. Hollis Jefferson (Jordan) - 118 points
7. Hawkinson (Japan) - 105 points
8. Jones (South Sudan) - 102 points
9. Edwards (USA) - 101 points
10. Waters (Puerto Rico) - 100 points

I bolded the ones whose teams were in the 'winning' part of the tournament. Dennis Schroder had 99, I had him and mv1986 did not, so 1 missed point across 5 games was the difference between me losing or drawing. Sometimes the margins are so thin here Grin

Trofo and cryptofrka I have to thank you for this week questions. Finally no "wild" sports except maybe for rugby Smiley I have a question. In the 5th question, the over/under points is for the total points in the game, right? I don't follow rugby so I don't want to misunderstand the question.

Yes, it's the game's total score, both teams combined.

Now everything is very clear about the method in this question, thanks for the clarifications, on the other hand it occurred to Anthony Edwards to make 35 points that in the end the USA lost surprisingly and for that reason I did not win the point here, I was already considered lost the round and suddenly Arsenal scored goals in the additional minutes to finally have a tie against my rival, round 11 is coming against you and it will be one more important game for you that you are fighting for the promotion zone and my chances are minimal for the top 5 but I will try until the end

Oh wow! Could it be that I managed to win in the end? I'm up 4-3 against Slissy (Sainz saved my ass by finishing at the third place Grin ) and there is only one question that we have the same answer. It kinda looks like I always get 4 or 5 points and my win depends on will my opponent win more than 5 points. I don't think that I had more than 5 points in any of this season rounds.

The basketball question turned out to be confusing, I thought I would win 1 point here, I was always checking the top 5 in statistics on the FIBA page, but in the end I don't know

It wasn't that confusing. The question clearly said that only the players whose teams doesn't qualify for the next round will not be considered. I checked how the teams were standing on the tables and answered accordingly. In the end I got a draw with Slissy on that question...
Damn it! You were lucky this round, but hey we all need a bit of luck to win 😁 This could have gone either way and At least we had excitement right to the end 😁 Congratulations on this round 😁
