I really don't but If there is anything I've been very happy about since I became very addicted to Tennis, that's watching Coco Gauff play, she brings it all in on court, the Grands slam at home, or nothing feels like the mission here, and I fancy her chances big time!

It's quite a tricky one for me and Slissy the questions we have inconsistencies with are actually the coinflip questions for this, looking at how significant this round mean for either of us, I guess we'll find out.

Me and Cryptofrka, we have 9 different answers, only the tennis semifinalists agree on the answer, I think that the first time a round happens to me like this, it will be interesting

Considering that Trofo is an organizer, he'll send a PM with his answers to some prominent members of this competition.

Umm why?

For maximum transparency.
He did submit his answers and his opponent did not. In that case we always hide the answers of the person who already submitted, not to give advantage to the person that is yet to submit.

Considering that Trofo can edit the spreadsheet, it is not fair that his answers are hidden. Therefore in such cases we additionally send our answers to some neutral members who will later be able to confirm that Trofo did not change his answers while they were hidden.

____________________________________________

This will all be changed from Season 3 onwards, when a late submission will mean an instant loss.

EDIT: in the meantime famososMuertos submitted, so I'm unhiding Trofo's answers.

I daresay if we poach players and managers from FPL/ClubTalk or even the MMA threads (and I see the rugby thread has some really active guys)... 8 players doable. They might expect more of their sports in the questions though.

Totally love the word 'poach' there lol. Im already confused with all those non football question though lol. Last two rounds caught me off guard with the snookers question

@slackovic : only 4 questions with different answers between you and me so lets get this done  Tongue. If the course of the event is following the order of the question then I guess we can relax for abit because we both have the answers for question 1-5 so best of luck this round mate !

buwaytress, Merseyside will be about details, seems from spreadsheet

it is all about Rugby, we are completely opposite there, I am New Zaeland and under, you are France and over, Portugal scoring 2/3 goals, over/under cards in Uruguay vs Chile and 2/3 sets lost in WTA US open - all that are not yes/no, so we could both miss it

have a good round

40 including cup ties, yeah, I already can't imagine the psychological toll on Cro2 to come up with double the questions (if we play 2x week).

We kinda said the competition will be 70% football based. Therefore we can't have double rounds per week - throughout most of the season all football's being played Fri-Sun.
We navigate it somehow when we have double Cup rounds in the same week, but we'd prefer not to do it throughout the season. It would dilute the football questions - and that's something we strongly feel would be detrimental to the competition.

I'm 99% certain we'll keep the weekly format for the BSFL.

Two guys from Div2 didn't submit on time, the horror!

Nope, at some point we'll draw the line. 16 or 18 players per Division might be the soft spot, although 3 leagues of 20 players were what we were looking to achieve initially.
We have 52 players now, so we're still 8 players short. Hope we get them for the next 2 seasons Smiley

I'm really impressed with the new blood from Clubtalk, Slissy, Navid and Jinetics the ones I remember most and no surprise they're doing well in BSFL. I daresay if we poach players and managers from FPL/ClubTalk or even the MMA threads (and I see the rugby thread has some really active guys)... 8 players doable. They might expect more of their sports in the questions though.

With the way the league is set up, the two-legged game will not work, and we may end up playing 40 games per season. buwatress will burn out  Grin

From a player perspective, I don't think anyone can maintain more than survival every season, really, RNG will kick in long before burnout, heh heh.I'm under no illusion, I have luck on my side, enjoying it as much as possible.

Nikola Jokic? Well I've seen some of the vids about him on youtube shorts ( this thing is amazing in case if you guys havent really gotten hooked into this yet) and it seems that he couldnt care less about basketball. This guy literally on has his horses on his mind and is playing basketball to earn money to keep up with all his horses addiction or whatsoever. Anyway dude is amazing though

Yup, one of the most interesting athletes out there.

I wasn't following why he withdrew, but considering how unorthodox the guy is I would not be 1% surprised if he actually told them that he wants to get drunk with his buddies and play some 2v2's.

officially, he is tired, and does not have same frequency with coach Pesic

but he is drunk every day, filling newspapers daily with different exbitions in his hometown

nevertheless, Bogdanovic proved as great team leader without him on board

You are really very lucky to have Bogdanovic. I bought tickets for many matches just to watch him in the years he played for Fenerbahçe. He is a real leader. Even though he played terrible against Italy as for shots from outside he never stepped back. And this is the biggest indicator of his leadership. I hope we can watch him at Fenerbahçe again after he finishes his NBA career. It should be appreciated that Jokic didn't join after the difficult season in NBA. He has left a quite difficult season physically.

Thank you for the reminder. I submitted my choices a little while ago. The tennis question seems good for this round and doesn't require much thinking. Also, the basketball question. Last round was a disaster for me, I hope this round goes in my favor. I want to reach the first division, and the season is almost over. I'm helpless here with you.

The way the promotion is set up, the league grows by default; by the start of season 4, we'll have 20 teams in DIV, and by season 5, we'll have 22 teams, which is more than an average league in Europe; if I'm not mistaken, we have four clubs promoted to Div 1 every season. With the way the league is set up, the two-legged game will not work, and we may end up playing 40 games per season. buwatress will burn out  Grin

I bet you the FIBA question got loads of surprises, it's not all as it seemes with USA even dropping a game to Lithuania Wink

now I have to think it through again, but hyped with our defense today, it could be a medal after long time, and that without our biggest star Jokic, that chose to be drunk all summer in his hometown is better than playing WC basketball

You bet that all NBA stars feels bigger than FIBA easily after just their rookie season, and they get just that first deal... They would rate the pre-season, or the new in season tournament ahead of FIBA, because they believe what it takes to be on a NBA roster apparently is 10 times more than what it requires to represent their country on any given day, hence Jokic not even trying to take part at all with his country men.

Aaaaand now I see that I'm an idiot because Italy is playing against USA in two hours and that game will also finish before the deadline so I could have waited a little more.

Better than missing out mate, we probably all already know how that one would turnout, and if it's not the desired result you wanted, you could still call in your VAR chip, if you have not used it yet, I don't think the Italy-Usa fixture is really worth being on the edge of missing the deadline for, if there is any possibility of you getting carried away for a few minutes or an hour and miss the deadline.

I'm definitely against two-legged league system because this way we get more excitement because one loss or win means much more when there is less games to play. Besides, it's more dynamic when the season is shorter. If you get relegated into a lower league, you don't have to wait 26 weeks to get back to the higher division. Of course I won't give up if we get two-legged competition because this competition is far better than any pool.

Aside that a longer period would only mean bigger rewards for twice as much the time spent, I'd rather we have every season over with within a short time frame, just like the status quo, as there are season long pools already, this being a long rally too would only it make rather such a cliché, and I think the biggest fun of this tournament is how short and fluctuating the ranking can get in the short period, A longer period would have people wear out before the end of it especially due to the dynamism of its multi-sports criteria which is already engaging enough for the likes of us that participate in every other pool, just to be clear I'm not against to legged ties, I think that'd even be an improvement to competition quality, but what I'm against is if a takes a rather longer period, and having two fixture in one week, might not be a bad way at that if we have let's say 4 questions and 2 H2H ones per fixture, making it a total of 12 questions instead of the accustomed 10 we currently, but the down side to that, a person not submitting a missing the deadline might not be giving a player an advantage but two players an advantage now.

and Lithuania basically out after this win, we are up 20 points into the last quarter
it is good that this will finish before the deadline, due to me hedging our success would see Lithuania into my answers, and probably over into final as well

I was checking the brackets and saw that Serbia is playing against Lithuania. I'm at work so I couldn't watch the game but I see that Serbia really crushed Lithuania. I don't follow basketball, but I really didn't expect that and neither did the bookies. After the game was finished I see no edge in waiting to send my answers so I have send them.

@cryptofrka I like this format, it's really intense, 2-legged seems tiring, but hey, we're all eager to slug it out. Of course, there will be guys like Igebotz who need more stamina, getting tired by Round 10 haha

If the two-legged game is going to net us more money, why not? At the very least, it will mean more freebets to play with, but I honestly believe the two-legged game will be exhausting unless we have two matches a week to keep up the pace. Back to your statement: I'm not tired; I'm just disappointed in myself; I started strong and ended extremely weak; 0 + -1 point for last submission in the last two months is insane. I hate to tell it, but my luck has run out since football season began; things were lot better with DOTA and F1 questions. You've been excellent this season and deserve to be at the top; I hope you don't bottle it like Liverpool.

You just never know with these sports, soccer was the only sport becoming rather very unpredictable, but tennis have had me questioned myself about how much I really think I actually know, going into some game.

I go into these football questions with much confident with little or no research at all and that's whats killing my rank.

I'm in for any betterment or competition intensified checks and updates added to this that does not have to involve spending a very longer period of play.
Personally for me, with the NBA fast approaching I really can't say how well I'd fare or the spare extra free hours I'd have daily, given the curricular activities I would have to check-in with every other week too, and Sorare being a newly found adventure too is just making everyday feels like a couple of minutes for these days.
