Wtf is happening in Toronto? almost all the seeded players have been eliminated before the semi finals, and a host of them didn't get even past the first or second round, while most never made it to the quarter finals at all, the latest person to be added to that list is Daniil Medvedev, who lost to Alex De Minaur in straight sets, in a game where Medvedev had 5-2 lead in the first set only for De Minaur to come roaring back to force a tiebreak, just like he did against Fritz where he was trailing 5-1, and one set point, only to fight back and win that set as well, but it was a completely different against Medvedev today because even after forcing a tiebreak he went behind 5-1 again, but he just never gives up and outlasted the 2nd seeded player.

If anyone should make the final, looking at their resilience and fighting spirit, I think it should be this guy! Meanwhile another player that have caught my attention in Toronto too is Davidovich Fokina, he's also been such a joy to watch and have knocked out a couple of seeded players himself including Zverev and Casper Ruud.

It's really just been an extremely high level of upset matches we've had all through this tournament to say the least.

I wish I could tell you, I live here and wondering the same thing.  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I'm watching a bit of the Japan - Sweden game, first Women's WC game I am watching, I have to say it's quite boring so far. Is it usually like this?
Yes it is  Grin
I tried watching few times to watch them play but it is so boring that it makes me fall a sleep.
Even super long marathon tennis matches are less boring to me.

I think me and dbshck are still 1:1 in this round, maybe EPL match Chelsea vs Arsenal or boring Women’s World cup will decide the winner, we have other question almost the same.

Sinner's qualifying for the semi finals will help me guarantee a draw against Harkorede. It is really very hard to predict what will happen in the remaining 2 Premier League questions. I'm expecting Arsenal to win by a bigger gap this week. However Manchester City aren't a team that I would ever like to take on under normal conditions. By the way I must admit that I have missed e-sports questions. Smiley

Lady luck might already be on your side because Jannik Sinner had to get a walkover over Andy Murray, a fixture that I'm sure would have stressed Sinner even if he were to make it through to the QFs, but I don't think I can complain much.

I'll only need to rely solely on Gael Monfils, whom of course have been doing absolutely great in this tournament, but Jannik Sinner will be obviously well rested and should be in a better shape than Monfils who had Vukic to contend with yesterday, although Monfils won in straight sets, 6-4 6-4, but an extra day of rest would surely be of advantage, I guess.

hi guys I haven't been very active this week since there has been a storm here and a big flood where I live. There has been a lot to do. I'm staying in a hotel until Monday.. But anyway this shouldn't be a sad thread😂

@Igebotz I see it's 2-2 now between us and we still have many different answers to the rest so this will be very exciting 😁 We both need 3 points to have a chance of being at the top 😁 Good luck with the rest of the games 🤩

There are not many people who believe that Brighton will score more than Arsenal and Manchester City 😁 I believe that Brighton will score 4-5 goals against Luton😂

Ruud out, I'm in the lead in Women's football as well. Maybe I'll even snatch a cheeky win out of this round, I like how it's developing so far.

I would have liked if we didn't have different answers on the Real Madrid question, but I'll hedge that one with a 2mBTC bet on Real to win.

Thanks Japan to make me lose that point. I cant see women sports in general, for me are boring compared with mens one, its a easy thing, mens testosterone makes all more fast fierce etc, its a bilogical thing, sorry not sorry to 2030 agenda.

The only sport of women i can see sometimes when the national team plays its hockey.

Three cheers for Zrinjski!

Benfica had great transfer window and I expect them to win the league without much problems. This game was a perfect shot across the bow to opposition to show them who is the team to beat in Portugal.

Rublev also lost yesterday, but I hope Sinner is now secured, he won his thoughest match on paper yesterday.

I've been really impressed with them and Sporting over the last couple of seasons. In European competition anyway! Not even so much individual players but just how their teams find a way.

Right, Ruud out too, and now about to watch some early morning women's footie. Life can be strange.

When I saw that Zrinjski had less than one player, I doubted that they would score a goal and I thought that Genk would score a goal so that you would not score a point  Grin but what a surprise 2 goals from Zrinjski, I hope Sinner reaches the semifinal and that the last questions will make this round exciting at the end

I thought the same thing, but Genk couldn't get it done which cost me a point. Grin Grin Grin

I could've got a point for the EL question if it weren't for Zrinjski letting two goals slip away in the second half.  Tongue

The good news, i'm still in the lead since we both got it wrong and the bad part is that i'm slowly losing the tennis question, as I don't think Sinner will be losing against Murray later today.

Question 4 of this round I answered thinking that it was UCL and after I sent my answers I saw that it was UEL, even so for 1 game I did not earn a point here, I only depend on Sinner and Chelsea to win or draw

Ruud had a lot of problems with Davidovich Fokina than I expected and he lost the match in tiebreak set, that is breaking my whole game.
This gives better chances to Medvedev if he wins next two matches.

TBH, when Ruud had 5:3 in third set, I thought it was over, but he is not that big in head, obviously
and lost both sets in tie-break, really easily, almost without fight, losing his serve as a kid
hoped for a point there, but ain't gonna happen

I'm glad that Ruud had to be eliminated too, almost all the seeded players are gone in the blink of an eye, Davidovich Fokina literally deserved his victory against Ruud, he kept Casper Ruud on his toes for the entire 3 sets, and he also had the chances to have break a couple of Ruud's service in the first set, but having to do it in tie breaks in the 1st and 3rd sets showed how much effort was required of him to have won the match.

All I need now is for Jannik Sinner to also get eliminated before the semi final, so as to maintain the damage control for this round, because Sinner making the semi-final might be all that's needed for me to lose this round again  Lips sealed

still one point down, heading to Arsenal vs City, Bayern and under/over goals, and Real not to win, as I see it, zero chances to get any points this week, my luck abandoned me for some time, hopefully will be back this season

Yeehaw! This is perfect demonstration of gut saying Benfica we're way better than Porto last season, betting instinct saying Porto are higher value and me telling myself that BSFL must not listen to betting instinct...
Noooo!
Oracle told me Porto should win that match against Benfica Sad

Rublev also lost yesterday, but I hope Sinner is now secured, he won his thoughest match on paper yesterday.
I think Sinner is safe but other guys are not doing that great.

What a player is Di Maria , a man build to play finals or decisive games. Glad to share the city with him and his family. But i always have a spine with him because everytime he said he is gonna comeback to Rosario Central, and he doesnt comeback, and i dont want to see him coming so old.

And the Benfica win means I finally got a whole 3 points again, since all other choices are the same for my opponent and I are the same.
Looks like the changes made by the manager worked well during the break.

Holy heck, I had to double check this and this is probably the fastest settlement in league rounds ever I guess (?). Both of them only had two different answers with question #2 being voided, they are both left with question #3 so its literally 50 50 chance for both of them.

No... I don't believe into Tsitsipas. I'm just disappointed into how many times he has let me down in this competition. I really expected more from a player that holds fourth position on the ATP list. I lost count on how many times I went with him only to get that answer wrong because of him. That's why I won't go with him again. At least in the near future.

Yeah well I always thought that he is going to atleast get to the semifinal. I probably wont ever consider him again to be the finalist if the question was about top 2 players to get to the final but I pretty much think he is capable of getting to semi final. Anyway I kinda forget this but ever since BSFL started in season, I think Tsitsipas was 2nd and now he is 4th
