I just submitted my pick without even check who my opponent is, and now I got to find out that I'm playing against my nemesis from cup again  Sad

Harkorede vs buwaytress

Hey man!, I guess we have a score to settle, don't we ? 2 mBTC as usual, quote me on this and it's game on!

I need to get a revenge, and it will be more interesting to do so while you're still invisible in the league

@igebotz : goodluck this round mate  Smiley

A little too early for me to send my answers but Im going out after this so its better to do this sooner or else I might miss this once I come back home. Anyway, totally have no clue with the snooker question so I just put in all top player on the list there. I might watch some of the games due to this question now and hope any snookers question will re appear in the future rounds

USA seem rather very tricky a question, it's pretty much obvious they'll finishing at the top of the media table and points

agree, it seems as very tricky
but also seems as YES/NO, since seeing them not on top will be rather unusual situation, IMO

regarding all others, I do like snooker question, although that will be seen that most that go with usual suspects will take points over those that think that it will find their secret show players
as is usually is

Canada and France question is almost a lottery to me

Put my picks in already. A little unsure if I have internet later so better be safe than sorry. Snooker my most unsure picks but I've a feeling it won't matter.

Maybe he's messing with your brains. In the last 2 Championships they won 13 and 14 gold medals, but the 3 competitions prior to these ones they won 10, 6 and 8.
In the last 20 years they won more than 13 Gold medals only on 3 occasions.

Maybe now you're messing with his brains. USA has been increasing their dominance in athletics -- and with inclusion of more events every edition, the medal tally also increases. Mixed teams events is going to be big over the next few years.

Or am I also trying to convince everyone of a "sure" answer? Let's do a brain-mess-fest!

Oh nooo, please dont tell me this was monsignor Trofo idea to add this questions, he ruins everything  Tongue

I'm to blame for the athletics. Trofo is responsible for snooker Grin

BTW Slissy why you have to say so much now everybody has the same understanding without research Wink Too bad those athletics are almost impossible to find live games to watch unlike Olympics!

Totally agree about weirdness of top seeds still needing to play qualifying round. But in a way very rewarding for those who actually beat them, but why they play last, that's confusing Smiley
I am not sure exactly how it is handled but rest of the players played tournament to get their spot and top seeds did not have to do that. I guess they have just one round and that one probably against some young wildcards. Just guessing here based on odds and fact their opponents are mainly low ranked players.

Time to learn something new today.

Man i lose so much time in the snooker question, what the hell, how can i know about that sport?  Cheesy

After a weekend of rest, because i was out of the cup, its nice to have something to come and talk here. My opponent its a dificult one. And i dont trust so much my answer this time.

Figuring out the schedule table or draw is even the biggest headache, let alone know who the favorites are, the snooker is indeed a very tough question, I however have my answers already just waiting to see if one of them could be caught by a surprising upset.

I'm don't think that the would happen anyways, at least not at this very early stage of the competition.

I also lost a lot of time on the snooker question. I even found the brackets but the best player is still yet to play his qualification game so there's no use of those brackets. Like Trofo (or cryptofrka, I don't remember) said, it's interesting that the best players also needs to play a qualification game in order to play at the tournament. It's not like in tennis where the best players sometimes don't even play in the first round of the tournament.

Well done to LFC_Bitcoin on such a strong two cup rounds. Long may your journey continue, and your bounty spilleth over into the league!
He kicked you out!?  Shocked
If someone deserved to beat you than it is him, because I see he is not doing great in our Division 2 and good result in Cup can save him this season.
Good luck LFC_Bitcoin in next round!

I won't be giving many tips for the athletics question, but this might help at least a little bit.

I think I love this round too, I don't know too well about snooker, except on a few a occasions when I inadvertently have on my tv screen, and I sure would not take away and end following the event for the next few days just the was 8 ball or 9 ball tournament that took place a couple of weeks ago, but that was doubles competition and representing their countries If I'm not mistaken because I remember watching Jake Shaw playing alongside another British player to represent the Great Britain.

Elsewhere other questions feels quite fair enough although not easy to come up with a decision or pick per se.
It looks that you confusing pool and snooker. It's completely different games, they are even played on different tables. And in snooker there is no such thing as doubles.
Snooker reminds me chess a bit because there you also have to think about few moves ahead if you don't want to give your opponent advantage. Maybe it looks a bit difficult to understand game initially, but I think that watching just 1 frame is enough to understand how it works.

Crazy rounds, and I don't even know where to start reading and researching about Athletics and snooker, nothing helps tbh lol

I have to say, the basketball question is total 50/50, it's so hard to find that kind of game so kudos to the team for finding something truly coinflip for this round Wink
Really love this round questions because sports that I like a lot is included. I following World Athletics championship annd I like watching snooker, especially when O'Sullivan is playing. Though, not sure that it will help me to answer questions.
Wouldn't say that basketball question is 50/50. My observation from previous tournaments that Canada usually brings good squad, but they didn't achieved anything. While France have 2nd best squad after USA.

Don't know how to answer as well, this and snooker are giving me headaches Grin

USA got 13 golds in 2022 and 14 golds in 2019. They already have 3 golds now in the WC.. oops did I say too much now?😂 I already know my answer😁

I wouldn't say that it's a 50/50 question for someone that follows basketball closely. People like this know if there is some key player that is missing, if there is some disturbance in the locker room... All that stuff that us who don't follow closely know nothing about. And that's when it stops being a 50/50 question.

Yeah, and I forgot about athletics. I have no idea how many USA competitors there are in Budapest, let alone how many of them could win a gold medal.

Worst thing (well, okay, not really) for these types of sports is you'll get vadtly unconfirmed rumours even if you do follow. I follow local football and you only get the juice in local language and from what's shared but it can easily be a disadvantage as most of the chatter turns out to be false come matchday. That's football, I've no idea how it shapes up for other sports but I remember following golf and it helped absolutely zero as players just either turned up on didn't on the green. Suspect the same for snooker...

USA? That's also a black hole for me, trying to find out even specific draws or schedules and it's a mess...
