Did you guys bet on D.Zagreb to go in next round?

I forgot to place my bet on time. I didn't know that they will be playing at an earlier time than what is normal (at least for us in Croatia) so when I was looking to place my bet, the game had already started. Too baš that I missed because it was an easy bet. The odds probably wasn't something specialty, but I don't think that Astana could ever score 5 goals against Dinamo in one game.

I was using the time off during cup to go play some real life 5 on 5 futball. Just as we were finishing big storm started and we absolutely had to spend couple of hours in local pub, no way to go home with weather like that  Grin
I hope you are not going to add that 5 on 5 futball questions in future BSFL rounds  Grin
You are getting them for sure, just waiting for later stages of some big competition like CL or maybe next EURO or WC. To be fair I never watch futsal except a game or two during EURO or WC and it is notoriously hard to call when equal teams meat while odds are totally useless when somebody is a favorite.

Really needed this one week break for my team, feels like training is doing wonders and I expect to reach new heights in following rounds  Grin

. anyone else fancy Japan to win this edition? Tournament favourite USA can't seem to score. Japan have been the most clinical (beating a really superstar Spain team way, way taller than them with a huge scoreline) -- I think they just need to overcome Norway (who just woke up) and I think they have a great chance.

1 point to me, Harko, watch out!

IMO, England will win it
didn't looked much, but they seem best,  especially looking at that 6:1 win over China, that once dominated women football

if have to pick an underdog, Jamaica is certainly one, hopefully they will stand against Brasil till the end, and pass through into next round, and then everything is possible
Brasil is on a verge to be eliminated, half hour to go, odds for Brasil to win @1.7 currently and rising, and they need it to advance over Jamaica
Jamaica still didn't conceived on WC

edit: Brasil is out

There is a lot of surprises still coming up in the female World Cup, and I believe expanding it to 32 teams now makes a lot of sense because some of the teams that qualified wouldn't have had a chance if we were still was 8 or 4 teams short., I can't believe Jamaica advancing in a group with France and Brazil, and more so they did it by just scoring 1 goal, and conceding none from all 3 matches, crazy and surreal! and We probably should expect the same of the Men's world expanding to 48 teams, the world seems to be catching up real fast with these football powerhouses.

---------------------------------------------

As for Tennis question all it took to get the final result "0-2", was just a matter of the top 4 seeds playing their first, now we have the number 3 and 4 seeds eliminated already

OMG what a drama! Ljubljana scores 2-1 in 90+2 min! Ludogorets gets a penalty in 90+11 min!! Then they manage to miss the penalty! 😂
Penalties are always testing the nerves and Ludogorets players didnt have them, but lucky for me because I answered correctly this question and I am doing good so far in Cup round.
I didnt watch any games from CL qualifications but I saw a bunch of goals scored in this two days.

Small margins, I personally felt Ludogorets is a better team overall so I went for it. Also - they just had to go through for me to win and for Olimpija you had to guess how as well (regular or extra time) - so I still feel Ludogorets was a better choice here even after they lost the game.
Dont use your mind when you pick winners in this stage Wink

I'm already 1 goal ahead of you, and we have the same 2 answers on 2 questions, I think I just have to wait for the results of Feyenoord - PSV and also Watford - QPR matches. I wonder why there are so many people who believe Ludogorets will advance to the next round, it's all so absurd.

Well - Ludogorets is a 40 mil$ team whereas Ljubljana is a 10-million one. Yes - football does not work like that, but it turned out to be a 50-50 game where you wouldn't have gotten a point if Ludogorets scored a penalty late on in the game.

Yes and also Ludogorets its always a regular one on final qualification phases of Champions League or group stages of Europa League, for that i picked them to win asides of them being in away condition.

The owner of the team its not gonna be happy, i have some clues about he is a very important busines man of Bulgaria.

And there we have it, gentlemen. One favourite (Italy) already smashed to smithereens by their far less fanciful opponents in the Women's WC. Happy to get that one right... anyone else fancy Japan to win this edition? Tournament favourite USA can't seem to score. Damn women's football! I think I have never got right any of those 50-50 questions. If I go with Yes, the right answer is No. Now I'm down 1 point and I have to hope that Auger-Aliassime can lose today to even the score between me and Danydee.

same here, I am down a point in my duel, but would pick Ludogorets each time in a duel as this one
it just make sense to see them progress Olimpija, but surprises happen, and they lost most of their chances in first match, but could score goals in last 10 minutes, missed penalty, and also hit post on 1:1, just before Olimpija goal (and they also had a lead early in a match)

nevertheless, it is a probable good-bye to cup in another first round exit

For me it was a no brainer to choose Ludogorets. To me they are more familiar team (I think they kicked out Dinamo Zagreb out of the UCL in one of the previous seasons) than Olimpia. I know Olimpia, but I would have never thought that they can beat Ludogorets. And since there were two option to go with Olimpia, I went with Ludogorets. Thankfully Ludogorets missed that penalty shot in the end. If they scored, Olimpia would probably pass trough in the extra time and I would be down one point now.

@Cryptofrka and @Trofo, I believe this another good question angle, I mean asking who would go the furthest of the top four seeds, or even 5th to 8th seeds, it sure would bring more varying answers than more stereotypical ones, I guess.
It would if we did not have questions on Sunday and deadline on Tuesday evening. This way if you place questions like that it is highly probable that it will be partially resolved before the deadline.

Tennis is real though sport to navigate. Only way to have perfect situation would be with deadline of 12 hours and not 48 hours which we will not do.

Oh, I didn't think of that to be honest but for quite a lot of ATP tours, the top seeds don't get to play at all until after the deadline, especially for the Grand Slams if I'm not mistaken, they usually play after the deadline, and that was the case in this current Washington Open as well, the first of the top four seeds to play was Hurkacz and the games was scheduled for 20:45 GMT +1, which is at least 3+ hours forum time after the deadline had passed.

The schedules are often out as soon as you have questions, I'd guess. As you've pointed this type of question is also tough to navigate and have it's own probability of a potential withdrawal before deadline as we did have a couple of weeks ago, but still it's up to the your team final discretion, It's just me throwing in another suggestion as it was requested of us.

I thought I'll have an edge with this question, but MAAManda picked the same outcome as well. Those players aren't the ones that are consistent, so 2 or less was for me a 100% certain outcome.
CL football killed me yesterday - it will be hard to get to penalties now. These short rounds don't give much wiggle room when you're a goal down.

Yeah, I guess it was an intense game. I didn't watch it but I have followed it on SofaScore. Ludogorets had one of its player sent off in 82nd minute and shortly after they conceded a goal. Thankfully Ludogorets didn't score the penalty because I had them passing this round and my opponent had Olimpia passing after extra time/penalties. This way we are both 0-0.

I was in exactly the same situation. So I'm glad they didn't score because it would have been difficult for them in extra time with one less player😂

Hurkacz is out of the tennis tournament after losing 2-1 in sets. No one has chosen that all 4 will make it to the semi-finals. But it's good for us who have 0-2 😁

If I was asked to pick a player to go the furthest of the four top seeds, I likely would have gone with Hurkacz given his match I watched against Djokovic in the recent Wimbledon open, it's was top notch and his service game was on some insane rocket speed hit, but I must have forgotten this is completely different surface.

What is the probability of losing a round 0-1?

I don't think we ever had it - not sure though. So, extremely low I'd say.

Something's obviously bothering you but you speak in codes and walk around it - so I have trouble understanding what it is.
Just please explain it to us and tell us why you feel it's unfair and we'll evaluate it.

Tiafoe should have lost too and make my life easier but I have a very good feeling about today matches. Though in the end not that it matters as same answers as opponent. Hope we get to penalties too, that would be the best way to end this round.

Well, Auger-Aliassime is playing today so he couldn't lose. He has lost his last game in Wimbledon against a player who is 112 in the ATP list. It would certainly make my life easier with a loss Smiley
