Hey no no, I wasn't worrying, just surprised that nobody brought it up yet. So no worries!

Now I would like to ask a question and make a suggestion: in the table for Division 3, for example, Jinetics1111 now leads with a SF : SA = 7 : 0 score. I bring this up now because I could also hope for MAAManda to now show up again and I take home a bunch of points as well. I assume that when people have equal H2H points, the SF : SA score will be relevant.

For the person who did submit answers, it is of course right to get the 3 points. But the SF : SA statistics get totally screwed and don't reflect a realistic result anymore. Wouldn't it make more sense if instead of SF : SA , you put down the freebet points? Those are actually the number of answers somebody really got right. But if the SF : SA statistics decide in the end, the bottom line is that if you take this day as an example, a play does not only get the 3 points but also points on top for even wrong answers. If you think about a theoretical H2H situation between Jinetics1111 and me, he literally receives 2 points for the division for exactly the same wrong answers that I gave. That doesn't really make sense.

In soccer leagues it is usually a 2:0 and 3 points when one team breaks the rules or doesn't show up. 3 points, again, are totally correct, and relatively, the 2:0 is also fine, but when you look at the standings in the table, wouldn't you want the person with the most correct answers and the most points be at the top in the end?

After all I don't care that much but since you guys said that you want to keep this competition running for several seasons to come, I think it is at least worth to think about. Perhaps you could add freebet points as a column and make that one the decisive statistic instead of "SD" if two people have the same number of points. Even though someone can still earn easy 3 points when the opponent doesn't show up, but there is still more weight on getting your answers right than just submitting them and get points for wrong answers as well when the opponent doesn't show up.

This is not all too important for Division 3 as there is not as much on the line, but imagine two guys are equal in points in Division 1 and rank 1 submitted less correct answers than rank 2, but still got points because two times an opponent didn't show up.

Hope you get my point here and I hope I got the rules right so this makes sense.

The answers to the questions are private - you cannot see what your opponent answered so you cannot copy it. We make it visible only after submissions are over.
For example - we have already started to receive answers for Round 2 questions - but they are hidden for you.

Seeing how many of me and jayce later questions aligned....I just thought about something, reading up about the comments about revealing picks.

Let's say you have no time that week to research anything and just need 1 point to win the final day. Or you know 1 sport really well and know your opponent does not.

Then you can copy every single answer for draw, or copy every single answer except the sport you know the best.

Another case: you notice the other guy answered 1 question wrong. Like the Napoli pick I made, automatically wrong. Then same , copy all the answers except in that question he answered wrong.

Isn't that one way to be "game" this to take advantage or seeing answers?

I don't even have time to do that, but I now sort of agree with others about revealing picks, it could put the guy who answers first at disadvantage.

This time it's much easier to understand what a H2H question means. For the ninth question, if you guess more players in the starting 11 than your opponent from this week, you get a point and your opponent doesn't. I think that H2H questions are more appropriate for the competition since every week each of us is competing against a certain user, not against everyone else.

You need to write down 11 players that you think will start the game for Chelsea against Tottenham.
The point will be given to the player that gets more names correct.

We calculated the results this morning, please recheck everything. It is the 1st round and we aren't in optimal working conditions this week
Trofo will upload the tables and post the next round of fixtures in the afternoon.

Some explanations:
- if the answer is marked yellow, it means that both opponents have the answer that is equal and that it is a draw
- some players have incorrect answers marked as green, and some players correct answers marked as yellow. That is because the duels are head to head and depend only on 2 players when calculated - so sometimes if the answer is not the best one, it can still win a point.

Free bets:
Points for the free bets are calculated differently (per Division). This means that for example answer 'Benfica' to question 6 gives a point to anybody who answered like that, and all other answers are incorrect, irrelevant of the h2h duel.

Freebet winners for this round are:
Division 2 - vd309 (20$)
Division 3 - mv1986 (10$)
Division 1 - Harkorede and cls63 both have 7 points. In the next round whoever gets more will win a 30$ freebet.

When I saw that most of you answered "yes" in the last question, I thought that a draw would be the best I can end up with, but that question saved me in the end. We will always double check but there is also always a possibility that some mistake passes trough. If something looks wrong or isn't clear enough let us know and we will rectify or explain better. But bear in mind that we are actually working on live table so if you are checking something while work is still being done there could be some stuff "errors" that would get fixed anyway.

On the bright side looking at the average scores of division 2 ,I think this was the toughest group to be in... let's see how the last two questions go with the NBA All-Star Game.

My answer was "NO", they are not going to score both in this game, which was correct. The game ended 1-0 for Atletico. How is that answer wrong?

Best way to start the competition. I didn't want to kick your ass too hard in first round and also did not want to be in points deficit from the beginning

It is much harder when we have to actually answer these questions, maybe we do ask a it too much sometimes but that is why this is a league made for true sports fanatics

I did not expect Liverpool to do so well, but the game went into our hands with early goals and Pope sending off.

I'm more furious about the PSG pick, Benfica was the obvious choice and I don't know what I was trying there.

I think cryptofrka is one of those pragmatic supporters. They know how bad the team is, where as I simply can't bring myself to ever bet against my team. It's a really bad disease.

Only match left of interest to me is Atletico. It's the only answer my BSFL opponent has differently and will decide the winner of this round.

Sure was nice to see Liverpool get those 4 shots on target yesterday. A bit surprised that my colleague cryptofrka managed to miss this one as a big Liverpool supporter. Seems like most of the pool knew better after all. Would love to put more salt in the wound but he destroyed me on Tennis question so I will better not push too much.
