And being an idiot, I went with Alcaraz instead of Sinner. Now I can only hope that Alcaraz can find some special energy to beat Sinner.
Why idiot? Alcaraz did smack Sinner down a week ago, I'd say it's a great pick.
Sinner's already through, he had the tougher QF and seemed to breeze through that. Only picked him because I watched him in US Open and I feel like he's really, really improved. Haven't seen Alcaraz play recently but he's always impossible to resist when he's up for it.
I guess it's because he's seen the future, Alcaraz is currently in action and have dropped the first set against Machac, now he's got to come from behind both a set and break of serve down to reach the last 4.
But if it's about a probable match up against Sinner in the semi finals, then I don't know why he'd be wary just yet, it's going to be more of an even game, with Alcaraz possibly the slight favorite again, and meanwhile Alcaraz looks physically in his best shape right as most of his prowess comes from be extremely physically great, Alcaraz also have won the last 3 match up against Sinner. So for me it's not a pick I'd be worried about right now, in as much as Alcaraz does get to advance to the final 4.
