Hey guys, sign ups for first league are finished but you can still apply for other non paying leagues. So hurry up and sign up if you did not do so already. We will sort trough all the applications and publish first league participants later today. So many good application it will be difficult to choose participants for Division 1. Don't be sad if you don't get it this time around, look at it as your chance to earn a promotion to first for free Smiley

After we tag first league participants here you will be kindly asked to pay 2.5 mBTC fee to our escrow address.

I actually want to play, but I cannot guarantee I will be active,,, I have been away for a few months now on recovery and stopped almost all my online activities but I still put all my picks in pool because that's easy even for 2 minutes  Grin So if it is expected to play actively I hope I will not disappoint anyone. But if it is a problem just ignore my applycation!
That is a actually a big problem in this competition since we are having H2H matches, if you show up one week and not on another that is very unfair to other competitors. You will be required to answer 10 questions every week. That does not take a lot of time but it will be every week. I think few minutes is enough unless you are doing some extra reserch. Do you feel like you can do that considering your current situation?

Glad to see you back Smiley

Yeah leea, you probably missed the World Cup quiz format they did but you're playing against other users here, so if you miss out, you're giving your opponent free points, which would be like throwing a match away -- not something others would like.

OTOH if you do it just like you make your picks for superbru -- make sure you come in every week to take care of that, that should be more than enough.

And glad to see you back too! Don't forget you have other things to claim in other pools too!

Sounds super fun, let's get it gents

Man i like newcomers , but i have to be hard on you, put some presentation to us, because we see you like a multiaccount or anything related, i think you maybe come from  clubhouse.

One question, when we can pay the fee?
All good, I know him from Clubhouse Chat, talked with him and Slissy in the chat today during my fantasy session and invited them here. Rules don't allow for new accounts but we are making an exception for people active in clubhouse chat as sort of cross platform collaboration. There were a couple of guys from there in World Cup competition as well. Multi account problem is solved trough their Sportsbet account. They need to contact me there and give me the bitcointalk nick.

Payments will be done after we close first division sign ups. Only people from first division need to actually pay. Second and third division are free to play.

Speaking of sports fanatics, is there any particular event you guys are looking forward to? I actually made some serious plans to watch the SEA games in Cambodia this year, but we couldn't arrange things for the family in time (there's a local village athlete to see).

~snip

I have failed to take my kid to Hungaroring last season, and this season is almost a must, but there is a shortage of tickets already, hopefully I will get one for that, it is in summer, and crossing border by car (Serbia/Hungary) in those times is taking 4-6 hours at least by direction, but should be a good fun

speaking of that, is there anyone interested to organize F1 pool, saw that Superbru already included it in competition

I dont know, but if CLS63 dont make that (i think he make the last year) i can try.... I also want to see how its the F1 in Kicktip or whatever call tha platform we used in the Bundesliga pool (i dont like in football but maybe in F1 can have good things)

I was planning to talk to Steve in this week. I postponed it to next week due to some reasons. Although we created the pool while there were a few days left for the races in the previous season, we managed to get quite good level of participation. I hope our number will be higher than many football pools this year. Besides it is great that F1 will be in BSFL.

The last new sport I tried to watch was T20 cricket, I might get around to watching the upcoming Women's World Cup.

..or as I like to call it League of Extraordinary Fanatics. Wink
I like that, we should have called it that way instead Smiley Some nice memories to a very good albeit naive movie.

Man, is it weird I also have a somewhat good relationship with that otherwise dumb movie?

Also, League of Gentlemen is an amazing series that will probably never air again because of political correctness, but that's another story.

Not many days to go and then we start. We know there is a lot of rules but as we said multiple times they are more for us then you guys. Just a way to keep everything transparent and for those who want to check every single detail before it stats.

I was hoping very much to see the continuation of this activity after the successful one in the World Cup. And it has made me very happy to see it coming true. Besides there is a promotion/relegation system in the league and this is another factor that will always keep the competition alive. A small advice: You can think of adding play-offs as well in addition to the final four for the Euroleague. Besides it must be really sad for you that you aren't able to join after creating a this much great organization.  Cry

Silly me, I did read the rules and that part skipped my attention!
Maybe because Cro2 team wrote rules the same way like websites are writing terms and conditions, or those small letters you can find on product packaging, so we just skip over them  Cheesy
I am just asking you guys to remember and ping everyone when BSFL starts, or as I like to call it League of Extraordinary Fanatics. Wink

/snip

I'm sure they know that they should ping everyone who will be accepted to the competition. They were pinging in the World Cup competition and now in another campaign they are doing the same.

Man, I can't wait for this competition to start. I'm even more looking forward to this competition than to UCL starting again after a long break Smiley

Anyone else itching for UCL?
Next week Champions League is finally back, but after this long break it's not going to be easy to predict all the matches correctly.
PSG just lost in Coupe de France from Marseille, maybe they are thinking more about Bayern Munich.

I guess that if someone from Division 2 doesn't want to pay the fee, he will stay in Division 2 and his opponent will stay in Division 1. At least that sounds logical to me... Or is it?

No, not really. The entrance fee would probably be deducted from his winnings so he wouldn't even have an option to choose whether he wants to join Div1 or not.

We are talking about big prize pools and really small buy-ins for such type of competition, the players have to be able to give at least some minimum from themselves back to the community that is playing.

Silly me, I did read the rules and that part skipped my attention!

And this response also now clarifies things -- Fees for the next season are automatically deducted from winnings. I suppose then, this leaves only the freebet winners who'll need to pay up for the restart.

Again, I know it makes sense for a lot of us, but after years on this forum, it's not difficult to expect some people could be confused (not pointing fingers, some people are like yours truly).

You can of course decide to opt out of competition or choose to receive full reward and send us participation fee later. It is just simpler that way since new league will start quite soon after this one ends. This way we can pay fees for 80% of first league in 1 tx and save some tx costs and money for everybody.

Free bet winners in first division are actually relegated and people promoted from second division are also getting more money then they need to pay. It could happen very easy that whole first division next season can use the rewards from this season for fee.

I am looking forward to CL matches as well, about time they resume. We never had a pause this big in CL.

Fear of relegation haha, yeah, I know very well that fear -- in the case of my local club, throughout my lifetime, all the way to the painful end where we actually just got dissolved.
~snip

yeah, within 3rd division you don't have that fear, you are having the joy of playing in lowest division with no relegation (called Beton league in my country)
just looked through participants list, expected more people to join so far, lower number than on WC competition

there is still time to join dough, and three division should be filled in the end, hopefully

why would someone compete in D2, and refuse to pay D1 fee when promoted? for me it is hard to imagine that
