Nice, I thought the birthday reward is fixed amount based on our VIP level but your story proves that what I thought is wrong.
Probably you get that much because of your recent crazy wager achievement, something like when you wager about half a million dollar in a week last month IIRC.
In my own experience, I've received the birthday bonus 2-3x and the amount were all the same ($25).
I guess you are getting closed to Diamond now, are you more than 50% now or less to Diamond?

A little story from my part that happened to me some weeks ago.
As you know stake is sending you a birthday mail ( if you did KYC level 2 ) with mostly a bonus of around 25$. So my birthday came around and I expected the same.
Once my VIP host came online she sent me a message with birthday wished and told me she sent a "little something" to my vault. When I checked it was a whopping 200$, nice right? I thought that would be it of course.
So after some hours I suddenly also got the official birthday email with yet another bonus, I thought that's the 25$ of course.
When I opened the link it was another 100$, which was more than surprising!!

Didn't expect to get as much as 300$ that day, maybe it's because I am platinum 6 now which is of course a quite decent VIP level. Anyway, for anybody that has a host, maybe it's worth asking when it's your birthday.
Ah and another thing, when it's your stake birthday (the day you opened your account) also shoot your host a message, they most likely have a bonus for you. Last year I got like 150$.  Grin

Great Story, but I honestly feel this should be automated and you do not need to ask for this. Yes, it is nice to have some interaction from your VIP host, but they are so busy.... it can sometimes be a hit or miss, if you get it or not.

In any way, I will make certain I am online when I am supposed to get this bonus... in order to check if I got it or not. I hope you bought something cool with it.. and it did not just go back to Stake.  Cheesy

I wasn't eligible for this giveaway, and I wasn't aware of it too. You are already level 2 KYC verified at Stake! I didn't know that. Not all the registered users, but all the level 2 KYC verified users were eligible for this birthday raffle. Without any doubt, the number of level 2 KYC verified users is huge at Stake. Most of them have done it to receive better bonuses and prizes. I have also heard that level 2 KYC verification is mandatory for newly registered users. That's why it isn't surprising to see a winner with small wager.

Saw plenty of posts on Reddit today from people that won in the 250k birthday raffle. I thought it a real raffle where tickets count but I saw some guy winning with 160$ lifetime wager, so I guess just everybody was eligible to participate. 3 mods also won which sparked a little bit of controversy yet again, haha. But it is what it is, never winning any raffle anyway.
I don't see anything wrong there if the moderators were selected in a provably fair way (like they do for weekly raffle). Anyway, I wasn't even aware of this $250k birthday raffle of Stake. The primary requirement was 'level 2 KYC' verification for this promotion. That's why someone with $160 lifetime wager had won a prize as well. Are you KYC verified at Stake?

I was not even aware about this raffle if you did not bring it here, maybe because I played rarely for months already so I have no idea
Just checked the list but my username is not there LOL so not my lucky time on the raffle.
If someone with so small lifetime wager became a winner on this raffle, high possibility that all registered users were on the drawing list.
Means that the chance to win is quite small so those 250 users were so lucky among tens thousand users or even more.

I think if we value the proper management of bankroll maybe we can consider that as 1% skill?  Smiley
Make sense, don't forget to choose type of the slot like (Megaway, Volatility, Etc). It's not always about luck too, knowing you are on cold/fire section is also important. Most of the player, while spinning 200-400 without bonus will keep continue. They have fallancy, next spin gonna hits the bonus but doesn't know and can't take the lost the slot section was drain (he need to move or change). In the end, the balance was out......

For real. This is the most important lesson I learned on playing slot games. You should not focus on one game if you are having a bad time on that specific slot thinking that it will soon pay off. Most of the slot games are too volatile and there’s always a time that I can’t hit anything on a couple of slot games despite I’m already burning tons of bankroll.

I always consider hot/cold slot games before I play to determine how much bankroll I should dedicate on that specific game.

They will think, mod have higher chance getting picked due they know each other.

highly likely and just like how the discord winners are getting picked  Smiley just kidding

If I had posted 10 seconds later in this weeks forum giveaway (not the raffle of course) I would have been on a site that my host was drawn to and the chances she would have picked me were super high, she already did it twice.
But no, I posted on page 75 and she got, next to other pages, page 76, damn that was annoying to me since I could have gotten over 200$ from this, haha. Gust my luck yet again.

This is incorrect. Slots are 100% luck based games just like many other casino games such as Roulette, Baccarat etc where there is no room for skill at all. High house edge factor makes them even less appealing.

However, so many gamblers still play them primarily due to the fun factor and because it has an extremely easy learning curve.
I don't against your assumption that slots are a 100% luck-based game without any skill. But in practice, each slot player has his own gaming strategy instead of just pressing the spin button for each spin. Every slot player's playing style is different and many of them don't immediately choose a big bet at the start of the game, that's what I call 1% skill because they have a game strategy. Regardless of whether this game is interesting or not, I can personally say that slots are an interesting and fun game.

I think he is just referencing to @Roycilik personal text since he is considered as slot master here in the forum.

Slots are a game of luck that might be said to be 1% skill and the other 99% is luck.

Technically speaking, slot games is indeed 100% luck game due to its use of RNG to determine the outcome of the game. I think if we value the proper management of bankroll maybe we can consider that as 1% skill?  Smiley

Thank you very much and God bless you for this because not too long ago I had some argument with ma friend about slots game of which I plainly told it's everything and anything that is luck concern because there is absolutely no way that anyone would tell me that they have some kind of skills especially when it's slot games, I can relate to maybe other kinds of casino games but slot is actually just luck base and the reason why that my friend was so insistent that he has some kind of skills is actually because he won some little amount of cash.
Actually, you don't have to argue with your friend because he believe that he can use his skills slot game. He will see how his skills help him to win in slot game. If he can not win using his skills, that will not stop him from gambling.

You only need to remind him to manage his money that will be used for gambling. That is the important thing you can do for a friend like that because you can not advice or telling him about what you know. His head seems to be hard as rock Grin

You can hope that he will realize of what he saying so he can learn that slot game need luck to win. Hopefully, he can control himself by not spend big money for playing gambling and use his skills to win because that will not easy to win from slot game.

I become a community moderator of the casino in the past and I’m being paid but I can still participate on promotion as normal user because community moderator sometimes considered as just part time job. Usually, moderators being selected are those active gamblers in the community.
Still being paid ~XD.

The decision, If you become moderator but still playing is on your own action. Do all these moderators need to play or make wagering to keep their jobs? If nots, then from my perspective just take salary and don't gamble. Stop taking user spots ~XD

No matter luck or not, from my own perspective a winners from moderator is always make a shady thinking on the user perspective. They will think, mod have higher chance getting picked due they know each other.

I have read before that they don't get paid but that article was some years old so there might/should have been some changes since this was written.
If you ask me, I would almost never work voluntarily as a mod without pay. Especially when it's a huge company there should definitely be some payment and that's why I also think there is. Why wasting your free time on a job that doesn't pay and is also not really fun.  Cool
But anyway, as always we most likely will never know.

Maybe what your friend means is a certain betting pattern in the slot game. maybe more on the management of the bets made. like doing 20x spins with a minimum bet, after getting some small wins, then increasing the bet in 10x spins. then with a pattern designed by yourself.
I feel a little silly with something like that, but it is indeed done in slot games. they may see it more as a skill or strategy in playing slots. but more of us know that slots are indeed a game of pure luck. even if you make a minimum bet consistently if you are lucky we will also get a big win.
