I sent a large wallet file for redemption
I have been having problems with the new darsek crashing. and today after several crashes it said wallet.dat file is corrupted and not recoverable.
I have lost the address for redemption. Can I have it sent to a new address? Please
it's working fine on my laptop with no problems at all, i have emailed my new address.

There is a patched Darsek version up on gihub to get rid of the checkpoint warning.
I will release a Windows binary later today, but I want to see if I can fix the Windows thread closing issues today before releasing the patched client.

As mentioned above, it is most likely due to the stake change over. We need to wait and see if when the majority of clients move into the new year, the error clears itself.
Other then that, it is only annoying and not fatal, blocks are still being produced and transactions going through. I have a patch ready in case it does not resolve naturally.

Some Darsek clients may be showing the "Checkpoint is too old error". Though unexpected on my part, this should clear itself once the new year has past for the majority of the world.
I believe the reason this is happening is because of the new year and the dateline.
On Jan 1 2014, there is a change in the way stake is generated that kicks in. This is part of the Novacoin base. Some client/daemons may already be past the dateline, causing some confusion with the clients.
If you want to play it safe, just wait until the year flips over for the majority of the world, but there should not be any problem beforehand except for the error.
The change in stake has to do with the time range for maturity.
On Jan 1 , 2014 the max level of maturity changes to 90 days. The stake range becomes 30 - 90 days.
Before then the stake range in 30 -60 days.

Well I just started a Dollarpounds pool Jupiter Mining Co there are not a lot of DPS miners so another DPS pool may not be needed yet.
OFF has a p2p pool but not anything else.
QBT has 2 pools bet they seem to be up and down a lot often at the same time.
FFC also just has a p2p pool but since you can use ASIC on it the pool runs between 1-4TH/s
FFC has a coinex pool that has a fairly large hashrate at times...
Also found OFF just had 2 new pools come online also

Wanted to throw this out there...
Updated my GPL and had to close and relaunch to replace the peers.dat file with the original i backed up... opened too soon before the previous instance closed and got the message it couldn't lock the GPL.exe file...
then it states NOVACOIN may still be running.
No biggie, just thought I would let you know find/replace missed that error message.
