dream, what happen with the GPL pool?!  Huh

 [2014-01-03 12:09:43] Rejected c2ba9fbc Diff 10/10 GPU 0  (Worker is temporarily banned

If average invalid shares vary by 50% ,the back end bans your miner for 5 minutes. It is a type of DDoS protection.

Code:
# ******************** Worker Ban Options *********************
ENABLE_WORKER_BANNING = True # enable/disable temporary worker banning
WORKER_CACHE_TIME = 600 # How long the worker stats cache is good before we check and refresh
WORKER_BAN_TIME = 300 # How long we temporarily ban worker
INVALID_SHARES_PERCENT = 50 # Allow average invalid shares vary this % before we ban

Is there a fix in the works for KED wallet? It is super annoying with the popup. Every time a miner connects it pops up. Also on disconnect. Sad
scrap what error or popup are you getting ?

Dude, http://ufc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/ just said: Network Hash Rate: 290 MH/s!!!
I don't know how to interpret that. Did it just become that popular, or is it a bug?

Nope, that is what the daemon is reporting.
Code:
{
    "blocks" : 176117,
    "currentblocksize" : 8490,
    "currentblocktx" : 23,
    "difficulty" : 3.73326901,
    "errors" : "",
    "generate" : false,
    "genproclimit" : -1,
    "hashespersec" : 0,
    "networkhashps" : 277529524,
    "pooledtx" : 23,
    "testnet" : false
}

The pool daemon also reports the same rate and the pool is up to 38 minutes per block as the hash rate is not coming through the pool.

Sure thing! I was watching the pool rate and the daemon/block explorer rate the whole time.

Ch ch china??

This has been annoying me since I noticed it last night. nethash would pump to 40mhash, then 80, then 120 then it would just PLUMMET back to like 10 mhash. At one point it took over 1 hour to find one block on ufccoin.com.

My guess is that someone is

1) trying to rape UFC for easy coins, but can't mine for too long because of electricity costs.
2) trying to fork the blockchain, impossible too do because its PoW/PoS
3) ScryptAsic testing on a low hash network.

My choice would be 1. Since there isn't an exchange its hard to judge the true value of these coins, which means the dedicated miners are taking a huge gamble securing the network and big mining farms can't mine for too long because they have to pay bills.

 I was on yesterday, and just got back on an hour or so ago. But no where near that hash rate. I'm only at 15MH/s.

Dreamwatcher,

You definitely have an issue with the KED wallet.

As soon as I start to solo mine, with the same exact config as all my other scrypt coins, the wallet errors. When closed... the error returns upon every lainch until I reboot the PC... and if I try to solo again... repeat.

What gives?

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8Vvuskew8TmOV9fMFNBUFpTUFU

see:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4082077

Still fighting with the tools, it has to do with recent Microsoft C++ libraries and qt 4.8.5.

AS quoted, the error is not real and the client is still running, hence why you cannot restart the client as it is still running.

I am still working at it, but I run into roadblocks every time. From Microsoft's wonderful advice to revert the C++ libraries back to an earlier version( Yes, this is actually the advice they give about this issue) to trying to set up the qt 4.8.5 compiler to statically build (No need for Windows System DLL's), only to have QT MOC compiler choke on its own unaltered code.

I am working on it, but you can still solo mine with the Windows client, just have to ignore the non-error.

I have updated all the GPL miners in my Github. I have removed all the object files and binaries that should not have been there in the first place. This should eliminate some of the confusion when compiling them.

CPU:

https://github.com/Hartland/GPL-CPU-Miner

GPU-YBC (Recommended) - Modified for GPL

https://github.com/Hartland/ybcminer_gpl

GPU - Original Yac miner - Modified for GPL

https://github.com/Hartland/GPL-GPU-Miner

I will see if I can get a Windows compile together for the CPU and YBC miners.

Hey Dreamwatcher,

I sent you my wallet.dat for Darsek / KED with the new Darsek 2.0 address 5 days but did not yet receive the coins. Still working on it? Smiley

I have not received many wallets since the last batch. It is a rather involved process that is inefficient with a couple of wallets. Though only a few wallets,I will process the current batch today.  Smiley

Thanks! Just saw them coming in  Grin

Was it the largest amount you had to send?

Use Coinbase Account almosanywhere with Shift card
I'll update guide
http://www.scificryptocoin.org/index.php/general-information/how-to-mine/13-how-to-mine-gpl-at-pool

the guide also helps in tuning the card

I will add new links to windows binaries when avail.

Glad we are getting somewhere but can anyone provide settings for 7970's please

Start with -I10 and play with the 1500 mem clock, gpu clock should be roughly .6 * mem clock, and don't specify TC. That should get you somewhere.

And my 7950 also only produce single digit.
Are you telling me I should get .6 per card ?

Yea! All up to sync w/ UFC's blockchain.  Grin

It's funny, I never paid enough attention to my GPL settings. Lowered intensity down to 10 from 13 and it's doing better without all those hardware errors. Pfft, I'm an idiot. Good thing I mined a shitload early on. Pointing a couple more cards at the pool for now to see how they do.

Seems I should also be paying attention to CPU mining GPL but those instructions sound confusing to make a windows binary. Is there a cpu miner already configured for windows? I get into linux from time to time but windows keeps me lazy.

Tested this myself... been a while since i mined GPL... got better than that though... proofed it on the pool at 20KH/s+

Code:
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

ybcminer.exe --scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1377557832 -d 0 -o stratum+tcp://gplcoin.com:8888 -u X -p X --thread-concurrency 21712 --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 1200 --gpu-memclock 1575 --gpu-vddc 1250 --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-fan 90 --temp-cutoff 80 --scan-time 1 --queue 4 --no-submit-stale -I 11

Zero HW errors.
