i think nova is not a good starting point because it need npoints for voting. Why don't try other exchanges first, which do not need cost some money for voting.

starblocks, the POS algorithm rewards stakeholders for supporting the network, while defending against miner dominance (51% attack). We have altered the POS rewards % to reward early adopters and stimulate adoption.
As of August 27, 2017, StarCash staking rewards pay a maximum of 160% on coins in the first year. Each year this number is halved to limit the supply of coins available, until it reaches 1.25% after 7 years. It then remains at that rate in perpetuity to limit inflation and create a fixed predictable rate of growth. In this way, early adopters gain the maximum rates of return for helping to secure the network.
The Chart below shows the growth of an initial balance of 1000 STAR with maximum staking interest rewards.

A little bit complicated but it's nice longterm project.
Yes, this is an example of how a 1000 STAR balance grows over 7 years. Coins are eligible for staking interest after 30 days, and are 100% eligible after 90 days. I will explain more for those of you new to staking in a bit.
