Good thing that you are now able to pay with Bitcoins to by some Steam games or other things on Steam. I think that this combination is going to be good for both of them.

Well, yeah, it has already started accepting bitcoin a few weeks back. And it is great to see any new merchant to start accepting bitcoin, whether it is a large merchant or a small merchant.

And steam is definitely the biggest gaming platform for computers right now : D

https://np.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/44sgnm/bitcoins_in_steam_coming_soon/#oo

it seems that Steam prepare their systems to accept bitcoin payments through Bitpay. This is big news for gaming community and for Bitcoin image because we talk for the most popular gaming pc platform.

Hi chek2fire, steam is a website that delivers game straight to computer right, just correct me if I am wrong. If that is really true that will be awesome because game addicts will be encourage to use  bitcoins now that will lead to increase of demand in bitcoin so higher price. hehehehhe

I dont know is steam is accepting bitcoins soon i thought they allready did accept the bitcoins so i dont understand why people are argumenting in this topic you know.
Bitcoin is becoming more popular and that is really nice for the currency and Steam is already accepting Bitcoin so that is really nice so you can spend it more and Steam can earn also more money.
And that is so nice to see that Bitcoin is becoming more worth and acceptable and it would be maybe the future payment method.

I have also read this somewhere that Steam is going to accept Bitcoin or already has accepted Bitcoin. I think thta this is a great thing for both and it will attract more users to both platforms.

In the philippines we already using bitcoin to buy some credits for our steam wallet, I hope that bitcoin will be more popular so it will result for expanding it's availability.

you don't have to worry about the future of the bitcoin, because it can be ascertained that the future will be even brighter and bitcoin is very profitable. Because the bitcoin giving all that we want from the system, benefits, and advantages, if everyone was using bitcoin then already ascertained all shop (Online or Offline) will accept bitcoin

In our country here in philippines, in our wallet, (Coins.Ph) They accepted bitcoin as a mode of payment for League Of Legends RP, Steam Codes, etc. So i'm glad that i use coins.ph Smiley

You didn't read about this news, steam already accept bitcoin for payment 1 month ago.

you don't need a news site to see if steam accepts bitcoin or not this topic is old from 2016-2 and by that time it was just a rumor.

right now you can easily open up steam website or their market to purchase something and see that they have added the bitcoin icon to their list of all payments alongside credit card,...

What will happen to the 3rd party sellers of Steam games for bitcoins? Now they are selling the games with big overhead. Will they readjust the prices after Steam launches Bitcoin payments or they will close up shop?

aren't third party selling the game for cheaper? why adding bitcoin as a payment should change this? i see no correlation, aside from the fluctuations of the market

any third party who sells an steam game cheap is either scam, stolen games, credit card or they bought the games at the resale like half off steam summer sales and now are selling it higher but yet cheaper that original price.

Yeh man there are lot's of scams on the internet with people selling fake steam cards.
Also steam account's are still pretty easy to hack, mine got hacked a while ago and i lost my csgo skins.
I even had the safeguard thing on, some russian got in to it:S
So this will be great for the users of steam, more ways to get legal steam cards!

not really, those guy that you see on g2a selling for cheap are using the trick to buy russian game that are cheaper and sell them via vpn or gift etc...

or they simply received the code for a game for frre because it was included in a card, or it come for free because it was an expansion of the original game etc...

I think it will but it will take some time for sure because steam first want to look at the payment method to see if its trust worthy.
If that is the point they will sure step in later, you can now already buy games but on indirect sites and that may be insecure, its much better if they have it on their direct system.

the news about steam accepting bitcoin has been in a rumor stage so it is going to take a long time until we are able to use our bitcoins the way we like.
