That will be so good. I think that it will be more popular for both sides. And that is so good. I hope it is possible.
But you never know what can happen. But more people will use Bitcoin I think later in the future.

What will happen to the 3rd party sellers of Steam games for bitcoins? Now they are selling the games with big overhead. Will they readjust the prices after Steam launches Bitcoin payments or they will close up shop?

aren't third party selling the game for cheaper? why adding bitcoin as a payment should change this? i see no correlation, aside from the fluctuations of the market

any third party who sells an steam game cheap is either scam, stolen games, credit card or they bought the games at the resale like half off steam summer sales and now are selling it higher but yet cheaper that original price.

I do admit to this. This seems like a great idea, and keeps BTC fluctuating.
As the biggest online seller for PC, OS X and Linux games, this would be a huge step for the acceptance of BTC.
Many resellers will follow, and other platforms as well.
Also other media related markets, like music, film, and books.
Maybe this is going to be the push Amazon needs to launch BTC payment on their site as well in the future.

Yes That is is really great I think, Steam is the biggest gaming platform on pc.
And so this will bring Bitcoin to the attention of a totally new audience.
Like many young people who could get interested as well.

But steam will trade the Bitcoin's for cash again right away.
That Bitpay is a really good Idea they must be making a lot of money Tongue

I hope they will soon it will take some time of course but they will accept it, steam is always fast with a new payment method so I think they will do it for sure its just a matter of time before it is.
If steam will step in the market of the bitcoin will also attract people to the bitcoin.

It will be nice, if steam accept Bitcoin. I think if that happens, that Bitcoin will also becoming more popular.
And that will also good for steam. Steam will after that also be more popular so it is very good for both.

I think it is a great choice to accept it even for just a trial, BTC already is majorly used in the USA and by people deeply involved in the internet and many of there customers.

Yeah, I think it is in beta test, but they will definitely get success as the users now want to use bitcoin, and sure they will spread the system to world wide users. Currently thanks to God they started it no-matter only for USA.

Just testing phase it does look like, exciting times ahead, hope this integrates flawlessly with Steam!

Actually the highest usage from Bitcoin can Steam get from countries where paypal and credit cards are hardly used. I dont expect much United States Steam users pay with Bitcoin when they have other convenient methods to pay and are used to. But interesting option to pay Steam games for anybody who already has Bitcoin - I might pay with Bitcoin to just support Bitcoin even though I can pay with other payment options without problem.

Bad news.... just kidding. ;-) That's a great news, I'm sure because of that Bitcoin community will grow and expand, as gamers are mostly young people who could sort out the Bitcoins. They are very active and for traders Bitcoin is a perfect solution, even outside the Steam market.

this is a good news for the community especially for the gamers, hoping this is not a rumor, and someday we can buy games out there with our bitcoin
It is true, not a rumor. Steam is now accepting their payment with bitcoin also. It is a very exciting news for gamers, as we like to pay with bitcoin because of its convenience in holding our money and paying with it.

Personally I will not go to games and gambling with bitcoin. Its worst I guess.

Better instead of that save your bitcoins in your wallet itself.

Well, i think it's not worst. I mean Steam games has big market on gambling, like Dota 2 and CSGO. if steam really accepted bitcoin, i'm sure dota2lounge and csgolounge will accept bitcoin soon.

yeah as a fan of CSGO i am thrilled to start spending my bitcoins on something that i love.
dota2lounge is for betting and trading items as far as i know there is no sale going on that they start accepting bitcoin or not!!
