Steam is accepting indeed already for a while and I cannot say its really changing it or popular, I think that it will also not affect it in the future.

how you can be so sure that the current pump was not also possible because of steam accepting bitcoin? there are more than 13M people that use steam, there are high chances that many are using bitcoin to buy games there

I don't know why these people just appreciate on how steam's acceptance is a good attribute to the whole bitcoin economy.

Regardless if the price increases or not, just the acceptance of steam for its bitcoin payment is already a good thing to appreciate.

Totally a big thing since just imagine how many steam user got in the whole world and if their huge numbers of player will try to used it surely it has great effect on bitcoins itself since steam acceptance surely be the one of the greatest happening on bitcoins history and might it affects on demand on bitcoins,

And also i dont think steam acceptance got huge impact or this current price rise since the acceptance made for those back long months and the 1000$ milestone has been reach in this year 2017.

Steam formally accept bitcoin was a step in the right in my opinion. Before accepting bitcoin, buy games on Steam is very difficult. Especially in developing countries, steam requires a users use credit card. Whereas in developing countries are very few who have a credit card. So with receipt of bitcoin will ease Steam in reaching markets around the world, including in developing countries, without the risks and high fees such as credit cards.

This is just an extra place where we can use our bitcoin, gamble and games are always two things that bitcoin community already know well, with that said even without this really affect the marketplace its good to have more places to spend our bitcoin, and steam does allow anybody to invest into their favourite games.

No it has not affect it and it will also not affect it because its something that just will not happen, the prices are more attractable on here too.

Its something that just will not happen? It already did happened, steam already did announce their acceptance of bitcoin earlier April of this year. And even we can't see that true effect of it as of now. But for sure if steam will do something about pushing the usage of bitcoin, it is going to have affect in different market places.

Nope it did not change a lot what is pretty funny to do, on the other hand steam is not really saying they are doing it they never said a lot about it actually.

That is because steam doesn't really push the usage of bitcoin for their players for purchasing their items and games. And that's why they are not promoting to their players to use bitcoins for paying or else they are thinking that bitcoin will be exposed too much if they are going to endorse that freely, we may not see the effect now but I guess for a year or two we can.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Off course it wont affec tthe forum martket i think it will only stimulate the people who are using the forum martket just everyone wants to pay with the bitcoin also on steam!
It wont really affect the forum market and theres no relation between the adoption and the forum market itself. It will surely stimulate people especially to those people who are always buying steam credits  will surely got curios if they saw about bitcoin but some will surely check it first and might got their interest or not.

I think there is an affection in the market or forum market for steams acceptance of bitcoin and not just steam but also other companies who are going to adopt bitcoin because that is going to help bitcoins demand by allowing their customers to pay using bitcoin. But still it needs to be promoted by steam and the case that I can see steams acceptance have a big help to the forum market because there are a lot of merchants who are selling in game items for cheaper price with bitcoin but I don't know on how they are getting it.
I don't see why steam will need to promote payments with bitcoin unless they were invested on it and were trying to promote adoption among its user base, I think that a small number of people will see the bitcoin logo, search for it on the Internet and adopt bitcoin.

I agree with you. I think it's a good news for steam accepting bitcoin. It's courage people to use more their money into steam market and now they have an option to deposit with bitcoin. I'm think it's really good for both side, steam and the steam user itself.

Its very good news but I must say that its right now already for a long time like this but still not very popular on steam at all.

No it will not affect the market at all and it already has been said and is true that  the forum market on here for steam games is way cheaper so also better due to that.
I agree at this to be honest, its not popular on steam and it can be done easily too, the games are here cheaper and sometimes also way cheaper than it will ever be on steam.

I never bought something directly on Steam for a reason..
But when they started accepting BTC's that was changed. It wont affect the forum market.Since, people here sell for cheaper prices.
What is the reason? People was selling the games cheaper than steam has had some reason for that. Like buying the wrong games, maybe.

This is one of the reason why they are selling their games for a cheaper price. But how come those sellers have a lot of games.

Maybe they are also quitting those games so in return they are just selling it to have some return from the money they have spent for it.

Or else they are accredited partners for steam and they are able to buy steam games for cheaper price and they just re-sell it.
I've got that question also, that someone selling some steam games more cheaper than the actual price from steam and they have lots of games to be sell. So how come they can save and earn from selling that cheaper games, or they get it from a much cheaper online shops or a promotions then they sell it  Undecided

I have that similar question. I think the service is g2a? I'm not sure. But I bought a game there for like 20% cheaper than steam then when I bought it they gave me a steam key. It worked! I got the game and I paid at a discounted rate. How can these services offer lower prices if we buy with bitcoins? I'm not sure too if they hacked the keys or they buy bulk from steam.
