Hmmm...the Ripple team seems to have dropped the ball when they forgot to yellow-dog Jed McCaleb with a non-compete agreement..

I know, right? Ouch on that one. Supposed to baghold XRP then dumps his premine all over the market. Then forks Ripple into a near duplicate and slaps on a new name. LOL. What a guy.

hum since its mainly jed that developed/created ripple, im pretty sure he could have done whatever he want. he was ceo after all, no? its like thinking mark zuckerberg cant make some other social media if he wakes up one day and drop facebook.. them investors, board members et al can just suck it. ^^

It's been very hectic putting this together so fast. Everything seems to be working well.

- Deposit STR to Justcoin
- Send STR from Justcoin
- Trade STR for BTC

I don't see anywhere to put in the destination tag, how do I make an STR deposit?

Quick work, that's excellent! Justcoin is one of my favourite exchanges - very user friendly interface and great support - so I'm looking forward to trading stellar with you.

Actually, there are still NOT available methods to make unique digital IDs without trusting a third party.
So they are using Facebook to spread as best as they can Stellars to the community.

True. Soon the world will have SQRL.  I'm looking forward to using it.

You aren't forced to use Facebook.
You have to use it only if you want the 5000 stellar.
The other option is to use the account of someone else (a friend), and then send them to your account. (without any facebook login)

Coinex have become the first Stellar gateway, complete with interest payments on USD and NZD balances!  https://www.coinex.co.nz/

They have been a Ripple gateway for a while and I have used them - they are pretty good.

thanks for the tip on Coinex, looks like they are a legal company in N.Zealand.

wtb 5k stellars for 0.00001 BTC

Let's create an exchange thread.

Is there no exchange where we can buy stellars?

Not yet I don't think. Apparently they are in discussions with several exchanges for them to list STR and become gateways.

It will be interesting to see what price these things trade at when they do get added to an exchange.
