I didn't feel comfortable asking friends/family to allow some unknown force to have access to their profile information just so I could get 2,5000 Stellars. Let me know if you want it. Someone wanted me to verify by skype, but I don;t have a skype account. I am an old man haha.

I talked my friends into this as a joke. "Today I'll be talking you about this incredible once in a lifetime money making opportunity you shall not miss." And also played this song in the background https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNmSU1yzIA8

I got 40k stellars from them and gave steam gifts to each in exchange. Success.  Cool

I have stellar account, but no invite code to send friend, How to get invite code so I will send it to friend.

2,000 Stellar and my invite is your invite. Smiley

I'd like to buy the whole stellar account, is it ok Smiley and why do you sell your invite code for 2000 str even if you can get 2400 str from it, so weird Smiley

Some people just dont want to find a (friends/family) facebook account just to claim the invite code. Better to sell it and 2000 is fair enough.

Stellar on the way down. It's been depreciating slowly unless they give out more stellar then this is heading south

Increasing the amount of Stellar they are giving away will bring the price down at all time low. This is one of the reason they are very careful on  limiting the amount for every new sign up.

This is true, though the forum is still quite active there - the board is still going under some change and I think it will improve once again Smiley

It is a forum owned by private party (Hurukan). There was a thread where Hurukan posted that Stellartalk.org is not the official forum and Stellar Foundation wants to remain independent. Many of the threads get locked or you get banned.

What happened to StellarTalk? Did they go crazy and ban accounts and start locking/deleting threads. That place used to be hopping, now it's a ghost town. A lot of stuff got deleted over there.

They would have done it right if they press release before giving away Cheesy lol..

i think they've did good though. this makes the people who registered after Aug9 want more. and the foundation can't blame them.

What were the worst bits about the distribution?

Stellar is not like the other coins ... pump and dump and die ... big project rise slow ... think of bitcoin first year ...

The way Stellar distribution was done doesn't sounds like a big project , more than an amateur project , anyway I'm holding some Stellars , maybe that Stellar thing will find a way to fix the mess it has turned ... for most people Stellar just was a bictoin facuet , not a serious crypto project .
The idea behind the distribution wasn't bad , but the way They did was awful .

I don't understand what this means exactly but it sounds pretty serious, I have a small amount of stellar still stashed up, what do you guys think I should do... sell/hold??

Depends upon how quickly you desire to sell. If you're happy with the current price, sell them now, but I'm sure holding for a while will soon pay off.

Yes, I think so too, but I might regret not selling if the price drops even further, at one point it was 800 sats and I didn't sell and now it stays below 450 but I'll hold on a little longer and hopefully it will go up.

Guys, I don't understand what are the "invites" that you're talking about.
You don't need any invite right ?
I got mine without invite.
Absolutely yes, we dont need any invites to register an account on stellar, then we will be rewarded 75 STR for connecting our FB account. However, if we use an invite code to register, we will be rewarded 2450 STR for connecting to FB. See the difference ?

How ? Me and my friends all got 5000 STR without code (+1000 with email). I don't even see where to put a code.

You must have registered early (before 9th of august), that's why you didnt need any codes. But for people registered after 9th august, they will need an invite code to get additional stellar, otherwise they will only get 75 STR

Do you think that STR will have a bright future or it will end like most of the altcoins?

distribution (fb, btc, xrp holders) is definitely better planned than ripple, plus str is more non-profit than ripple labs

Last call, my invite for 0.01 BTC. Happy Wednesday everyone!

There is high risk when trading invites. The sender of an invite can cancel an invite anytime after sending it if the invite has not been used. As a result, it would not be wise to buy invites from others.

This is the latest update from Joyce, Stellar Foundation. Please read here, https://stellartalk.org/topic/4627-updates-week-3-of-the-stellar-system/

How the heck do you cancel an invite? I assume there is no way to do this after the invite has been accepted.

It is only 0.01 BTC, I am not going to scam anyone for the price of less than a pack of cigarettes.

Even i dont know since i have not received any invite and i would love to explore it when i do receive one.It is a general advise by Stellar Foundation itself published in the official forum. Nothing against you buddy.

With 0.01 BTC I would rather buy Stellars from Justcoin/BX.IN.TH and I would get close to 2500 Stellars with the current price.
