This was always on the plans. It was very clever marketing. Hype it up with big distributions and then artificially create a shortage.

I personally don't have any expectations about stellar.I think it can go both ways,but the whole project seems kind of interesting and that's why I've participated in it.So I think that it'll rather go up.

I don't quite understand why people think Stellar is going to work sure it will work short term but its going to be another pump and dump coin although people are claiming it to be better and bigger than Bitcoin.

Has anyone from Group 4 recieved an ability to invite?
Noone, group 4 (and above) members are not fully funded, they will have no ability to invite. In fact, they are part of the target of invitation.
Invite codes only work for people who are new to stellar or who have only received their starter stellars (group 4 and 5). Invites will not provide more stellars to fully funded accounts.
I am from group 3. Dont have any invite yet.
Your account must have at least 20 transactions (send and receive). If you wanna know how invite system works, just login to your stellar account and then change your URL to https://launch.stellar.org/#/invites

I read it somewhere on stellartalk forum, I apologize if that info wasn't accurate. Last update from stellartalk moderator about invite code is as follows :
Only the first / older users have received the invites
