Whatever you do, take care of your shoes.

Now the price has dropped do you think they will start increasing the amount of stellar they give to each person? They said they were aiming to give everyone $10 worth each, and the price has dropped from about 0.7 cents to about 0.25 cents.

I think not, they announced yesterday that everyone who has not been given anything beyond the 125-150str will not receive anything else. So if you signed up on August 7th or later, you will only receive the 125-150str that you should of received already. To get more Stellar, you are going to have to give someone an invite code. Then both you and your invite will receive more Stellar. Only the person who receives the invite gets extra stellar. I'm not sure if that means you can still get a total of $10 worth of Stellar or not. The invite codes are coming out today sometime. I still have not received it.

The whole Stellar Foundation and their way of creating/running a digital currency has been really bad. It seems like they are just a group of people who somehow got the idea to make a digital currency, but never really looked into the community or researched the correct ways to implement this type of project. They must of all had really good resume's since they were able to secure a couple million dollars in funding. Something's going on there that isn't "right".

Like seriously? Before launch no one, NO ONE, in their organization thought about multiple facebook accounts or the power of word of mouth? Did they not think that if they announce they will be giving away $10, for nothing but giving them facebook information, that the word wouldn't spread throughout the crypto-community overnight and bleed into the not so nice "hactivists", "scammers", or whatever you want to call them? Then they introduce a verification algorithm that can be easily bypassed? Everyone who was using spam accounts already know where to get old facebook accounts, while also knowing how to verify facebooks and emails without having a phone. What they are doing now will not stop any of them.

I guess it's "free" money, so no one should really complain, but I find it hilarious how they are screwing over legitimate people and still providing stellar for those who want to do a little extra work. Then, it's just crazy to me how they create a new centralized distribution strategy, then kick it to the curb, just to start a new strategy that is just as easily subject to scamming. Like do they realize who are the one's that follow cryptocurrency's on a daily basis? It's definitely not a 5th grader or a mom living in Broomfield Hills. It's people who are smart, have plenty of time for free money, are dedicated to finding ways to easily make money through their computer, and they already have plenty of ways to take advantage of verification systems. The main issue is that distribution and creation are centralized. If they would of just launched their system, only added the facebook verification system, and let it breathe on its own. Then they would of seen the possibility of success. Instead, they are controlling everything, which the actions they have taken shows they don't really have confidence in their own organization or those who will use it.

You have to understand, they have to give slowly and in steps, controlling the process, they can't give you your coins at once. Isn't it obvious why? Most people, and I'm not saying you would do it, just dump the given Stellars for BTC, creating the enormous pressure on the currency value. This way, giving you coins slowly and in steps they are actually working in your favour, making sure the coins you receive is worth something. So people, please stop crying for your Stellars as soon as possible, it is bad for you and for everybody else that already have Stellars.

I think they gave a lot of Stellar in the first few days and then they changed their mind.

Good for firstcomers!

Yes. But they will pretend to be giving out more Stellar so that their CAP rises on CoinmarketCap.

If they can convince CMC they have given away 2 Billion Stellar they will look like they have twice the CAP.

Notice how nobody is getting anything, and those that do, only get a tiny 125. But on CMC it looks like they are still releasing so many  Grin

Now stellar giveaways only 125 Sad

same i got 125 stellar too

i know its a little but anyway 3500 the original reward is not too much.. if you think this will go up you can buy 2000 for only 0.01 on current price.. if not you only missed like 0.015 free.

The original reward was 5000 stellars, not 3500.
I was one of the first who were verified with facebook but I made the mistake (that I always make) of selling all my STR in the first days.

This is totally unfair. Especially changed rules for group 4. If I was promised for reward, why I should do some shit like invites?
Seems to be they change rules of the game during the game. I don't trust them anymore.

I dont understand how can they give that low amount... we have been 3 weeks from launch and only 1% has been given away. 125 is a joke. I got 6900, 2 weeks ago.

Please read previous posts. 125 stellar is only their "getting started" amount. The remaining stellars will be calculated and granted when they receive an invite code or complete future educational programs.

Actually I don't care about identity.. The problem is that devs are hiding something (or even cheating). I will explain why:

1) They claimed to distribute 50% of all coins (that's 50kkk), but for the moment it's just ~1kkk. And it seems they stoped the distribution for some reason ('cause only 5 ppl left in the waiting list). So, how do they suppose to distribute the rest 49kkk? Sell it? If not and they continue the distribution by giving exactly 125 stellars, they will need 392 millions of people! Lol?   Huh

2) 125 stellars is really enough to test the net, but it's not 10$ as it was supposed to be, so I feel cheated..  Angry

Yes, that's totally unfair.

after waiting for a week I finally get the stellar,
and the stellar amount is ......... 75 coin haha  Angry

I got 125 stellars for facebook account and e-mail verification... It's worth 0.3$. Soo... I'm rich!! Yeeehaa! Gonna buy Bentley now.

It's not 10$ anymore as it's said here:  https://forum.stellar.org/t/stellar-updates/1026.
Just revealed my identity for FREE. Nice job, devs...

Well the intended goal for the facebook verification is to get users to test their system, 100 stellars is enough to do that.. then if you are so worried about your identity and you valued it in 10 dollars then you have a problem

Check the message above first.
My identity is revealed: facebook account+e-mail+nickname.. well, no problem. Hope just they won't give or trade my personal data somewhere else...
I'm worried more about their distribution model, though I believe in this project's success.

Well, if you are worried about who may have access to your identity, interest and your life details in general then you shouldn't be on facebook.

It's the greatest personal datas market in the world in my humble opinion.
