I think not, they announced yesterday that everyone who has not been given anything beyond the 125-150str will not receive anything else. So if you signed up on August 7th or later, you will only receive the 125-150str that you should of received already. To get more Stellar, you are going to have to give someone an invite code.
The whole Stellar Foundation and their way of creating/running a digital currency has been really bad. It seems like they are just a group of people who somehow got the idea to make a digital currency, but never really looked into the community or researched the correct ways to implement this type of project. They must of all had really good resume's since they were able to secure a couple million dollars in funding. Something's going on there that isn't "right".
Like seriously? Before launch no one, NO ONE, in their organization thought about multiple facebook accounts or the power of word of mouth? Did they not think that if they announce they will be giving away $10, for nothing but giving them facebook information, that the word wouldn't spread throughout the crypto-community overnight and bleed into the not so nice "hactivists", "scammers", or whatever you want to call them? Then they introduce a verification algorithm that can be easily bypassed? Everyone who was using spam accounts already know where to get old facebook accounts, while also knowing how to verify facebooks and emails without having a phone. What they are doing now will not stop any of them.
I guess it's "free" money, so no one should really complain, but I find it hilarious how they are screwing over legitimate people and still providing stellar for those who want to do a little extra work. Then, it's just crazy to me how they create a new centralized distribution strategy, then kick it to the curb, just to start a new strategy that is just as easily subject to scamming. Like do they realize who are the one's that follow cryptocurrency's on a daily basis? It's definitely not a 5th grader or a mom living in Broomfield Hills. It's people who are smart, have plenty of time for free money, are dedicated to finding ways to easily make money through their computer, and they already have plenty of ways to take advantage of verification systems. The main issue is that distribution and creation are centralized. If they would of just launched their system, only added the facebook verification system, and let it breathe on its own. Then they would of seen the possibility of success. Instead, they are controlling everything, which the actions they have taken shows they don't really have confidence in their own organization or those who will use it.
