Look into masternode coins..  Sorely underrepresented here in these lists..  Why don't people like getting a return for holding onto their coins?  I don't know..   Huh Huh

I see many members talk about the altcoin

I want to share my idea about the good strategy for buying altcoin

I think you must divide your supply into four groups based on the prices

1-Group one ( >100 $)

I think the best coin in this group is Ethereum

2-Group two (10< <100 $)

I believe in this group NEO and Litecoin has a good potential

3-Group three (1< <10 $)

I believe the Gamecredit, Komodo, Waves and OmiseGO coins

4-Group four ( <1$)

here I think DGB, XVG, SC and Burst are good choices

4-Group ...... (Just for fun Smiley)

Reddcoin and Dogecoin

What's your idea my friends?

This strategy is suited for veterans in traders of altcoin, having lot of groups manage at once requires time to monitor and also requires high knowledge on the cryptocurrency movement. But this a good strategy, knowing how to level the coins to divide your supply can make your monitoring process much easier.

Why not finding the perfect coin with perfect vision and investing in that from your heart for long term?

Yeah, you can do short term tradings - and for short term tradings, I don't think we need to go too deep.

You could skip that list and just go all in on Ethereum then you could make money without that much trading. Also, trading fees are really expensive.

Diversification is good, just don't buy and sell purely based on its current price. Look into each project and support whatever coin you want - the categorization of coins you're using at the moment doesn't really help or mean anything at all. It should be low to high risk, rather than based on price. Of which, Ethereum is low risk, high would be Komodo, Doge...

Dividing your portfolio up like this is a great idea - but instead of using the cost of one coin use the entire market cap of the coin.
You could still have 3-4 categories but this way you’re categorising risk based on market cap,
If you divide your risk based on coin cost (as you have done here) it’s based on not much other than cost of 1 coin (which doesn’t mean much given totally supply).
Marketcaps on coins are really out of proportion compared to the price of a single coin. I would just calculate the price of the coin by what a single coin is worth.

Thank you for sharing your strategy. I think it is good for some lazy investors, But I recommand it is better to do more research by yourself and show your opinion.

Good information for refernsi / strategy when alticoin falls. Prices of nine out of ten digital currencies or cryptocurrencies have fallen between three percent to 12 percent. But whether grouping is required at this time Huh

I love the way you presented it.Actually I have the same opinion as you.I have trust in komodo, waves , XVG and OmiseGo.They will do great in the future. So I support every one to start buying these coins.
Yes there are some altcoins that do have a very good level of popularity. they (Altcoin) usually have a good level of management and they are serious about arranging that altcoin can be widely used. besides that altcoin usually also has a vision and mission to be achieved. for example etherum, etherum is the best altcoin available today. at the beginning of etherum has a very good project level so that etherum currently get a good value in the market share of digital currency in the world. this is clear evidence when something is very well taken care of then the result will be very good. and this has convinced many people that altcoin deserves great interest so that the value of altcoin prices will increase.

'Modern portfolio theory'. invest in a basket of large cap cryptos and high quality ICO. Adjust each crypto holding weight according to volatility and expected return.

My strategy is very simple that when ever their is price down in good altcoin i just go for buying it and as soon as they start to pump the price i start to sell them, i dont hold for long time i just take profit as soon as i get 10% above i start selling it because i know that it will come down sure.

Yeah that's good split you have done. I have also followed one guy who divided the coins first into different groups according to their market cap and future development and then set up the amount which they should invest into them.

Your strategy is also good one where you are doing it in same way just that it's other way round. I think NEO should be in the first group because the rates are pretty down and the coin has got real potential to catch up the ethereum too. You will get more coins as compared to ether and that will increase your odds of earning profits too.

I believe there is no need of going further than group three which is all waste and hopeless to invest. With dollar of investment also they are nothing but dust. Better increase stakes on the initial coins and try for big rewards.

Good analysis from you. But this not completely correct as you should take marketcap into consideration. But I appreciate your efforts putting in this to make this analysis.

Good point about market capitalization rather than the price, for it's obviously more important. For example, melon is worth $70 but nobody cares, because it's marketcap is just some 49 million dollars and trading volume (another factor to consider before buying an altcoin) is around $220k.
strategy....sell at the peak and rebuy in at the drop.
The problem is that some coins drop and don't even recover from the drop and this makes one still lose a lot of money. A good example is dogecoin which is not that bad but is dropping in price with time even more.

This strategy is very good but I think it would be better if altcoin to be bought based and grouped by volume and marketcap and based on its fundamentals. Because that will cause the price to rise is a strong fundamentals that ultimately increase demand.

Strategy for buying Alt Coins is simple buy when the price is lower mostly all the Alt Coins in starting have low price then keep it in cold storage for a long period when the price goes up then sell all of your Alt Coins, isn't that a best and easy strategy ?
