I think the key to controlling gambling is understanding why gambling is for you, what it gives me, why I want to do just that, what I miss.

Now, it depends on us to follow or ignore the suggestions. Or we can take a look at the suggestions that are suitable for our problems. Here are below:
1. You shouldn't spend much money because it will harm the family. (Limit your funds)
2. You must have good self-control, it is one of the keys to be successful in gambling.
3. You mustn't get loans, you will be trapped in debt at the end.
4. After you can win in a gambling game, you are better to stop (break for a while). Don't be greedy to push your luck!

One thing that I always recommend to those that may seem to have a problem with their gambling is that the best way to limit their gambling activities is to find something else to do, in my experience those people do not have too many hobbies and other activities they may like to do so whenever they have some free time they gamble, but if you have many other hobbies that you like to do then even if you have a lot of free time you will find many ways to entertain yourself and this will lower the amount of time and money you spend gambling. 1. ^ That's what we called, spend in gambling the amount that you can afford to lose. Probably 5-10% only on your salary will go to gambling if you can afford it. Put your higher amount and prioritize your family and of course, there should be always a savings for an emergency purpose like a calamity that we will not know will come. Nevertheless, OP did a great job, all suggestion was right and this is very useful to others who begun addicted to gambling.
For gambling players having fun might not care about the risk of losing a portion of the salary allocated to enjoy gambling, I mean they will stop gambling if the funds have been lost. That will help control yourself to manage finances that are worthy of real life.If you are just having fun playing. But more of the gamblers play not only for fun but to win .

I agree on all of them and they are basically common sense stuff that you should be figuring out yourself without really seeing anything but at the same time it would be wiser to actually realize these people who do not follow these rules also do know these rules but still can't follow anyway.
I mean think about it, a person who takes a loan to gamble, do you really think that he doesn't realize how deeply disturbing what he is doing? But they are addicted so you can't really stop them at all. Or a person who spends so much money on gambling that they hurt their family with lack of funds for stuff they need to live with. These guys who do not follow this 6 steps actually knows what they are doing yet they are doing it again because they are addicted and have problems.

As long as we know how much money we need to use in gambling, and that money is free money which doesn't use for another thing, we are good to go. But don't even think to add more money in gambling because that can tempt you to continue playing gambling, and that can make you forget your limit. The suggestion needs to be read by new gamblers so they can prevent the worst thing that can come to them.
If online gamblers or gambling at Casino followed these recommendations or others, there would be no addicts to the game. Or at best they learn self-control. We know how to keep control of life because we have learned it. It is also true that there are people who do not like to receive advice about the mistakes they make. Only when they fall and want to get out of addictions do they give credit to the advice.

Perhaps a gambler that came from this community will never be addicted because you can apply these kinds of suggestion, --if you are solely in gambling. I mean to say these kind of discussions will not stop those gamblers but they will learn their lessons by their own way. We've been consistently giving advice to other gamblers how to handle things so that they wouldn't end up badly. But, it's impossible to know if they follow any of those suggestions that we give to them.
I think you should add this to no.1, the famous quote and advice that

There are already 10's or even a hundred kinds of threads similar to this which do talks about suggestions or tips on how we do should deal with gambling activity.
Aside from those points above you had mentioned then i would suggest not to forget the golden rule when we do gamble which is "Dont gamble on the amount that you cant afford to lose"

Always follow the golden rule because you will become part of the people who have huge debt or people who mostly lose their minds because they cannot control their own emotions. Outcome or fate will depend on how they do deal up with gambling.If they do let theirselve attached to addiction then this would be surely the thing to happen into their lives which they would be wrecked

All in all, maybe number two will be the most important thing that every gambler must have because self-control will be needed in gambling games. We can say that we have control for ourselves, but the next question is, how long can we control ourselves? Because many people lose their control after they play for some rounds, and that is because they are curious about the next result, or they can win the money, but they want more winning money.
